CAUTION
• Do not remove a disk or turn the computer off when the FDD indicator is on.
• When removing the FDD on Windows 2000, double-click
on the task tray and
select the USB device, then press [Stop].
• Do not enter the standby (suspend) or hibernation mode while accessing data.
• Do not insert/remove the FDD when the computer is in the standby (suspend) or hibernation mode.
• The FDD cannot be used with a bus-powered USB HUB.
• Do not compress/uncompress FDD with DriveSpace 3.
• Only one external FDD can be connected to the USB port of the computer or a USB
HUB.
• Do not use the FDD simultaneously with other FDDs or SuperDisk Drives.
• The FDD is designed for operation on Windows 98 and Windows 2000, but not on
Windows NT. (However, if the Operating Instructions and Reference Manual of the
computer specifies otherwise, the FDD may be used with Windows NT.)
• The drive letter of the FDD differs according to the model .

When the FDD driver has not been installed, install the FDD driver with the following
procedure. (As the FDD driver is automatically installed on Windows 2000, the following
procedures are not needed. )

Connect the FDD to your computer.
At the [Add New Hardware Wizard], select [Next].
Select [Search for best driver for your device (Recommended)], select [Next].
Add the check mark for [Specify a location], input [c:\util\drivers\usbfdd], then select
[Next].
5 Confirm that [PnP TEAC USB FDD] is displayed as the device, then select [Next].
6 Select [Finish].

VORSICHT
• Auf keinen Fall die Diskette entfernen oder den Computer ausschalten, während die
Zugriffsanzeige des Diskettenlaufwerks leuchtet.
• Zum Entfernen eines Diskettenlaufwerks unter Windows 2000 doppelklicken Sie auf
das Symbol
in der Task-Ablage, wählen Sie das USB-Gerät aus und klicken Sie
dann auf [Stop].
• Während ein Zugriff auf Daten stattfindet, darf weder der Bereitschaftsmodus
(Unterbrechungsmodus) noch der Stillegungsmodus aktiviert werden.
• Während sich der Computer im Bereitschaftsmodus (Unterbrechungsmodus) oder
Stillegungsmodus befindet, darf das Diskettenlaufwerk weder eingesetzt noch entfernt
werden.
• Das Diskettenlaufwerk kann nicht über einen USB-Busanschluss verwendet werden.
• Dateien nicht auf DriveSpace 3 des Diskettenlaufwerks komprimieren bzw. dekomprimieren.
• Nur ein externes Diskettenlaufwerk kann an den USB-Anschluss des Computers oder
an eine USB-Buchse angeschlossen werden.
• Das Diskettenlaufwerk kann nicht zusammen mit anderen Diskettenlaufwerken oder
SuperDisk-Laufwerken verwendet werden.
• Das Diskettenlaufwerk ist für den Betrieb auf Windows 98 und Windows 2000 konzipiert,
aber nicht für den Betrieb auf Windows NT. (Falls jedoch die Bedienungsanleitung und
das Bezugshandbuch des Computers etwas anderes angeben, kann das Diskettenlaufwerk
mit Windows NT verwendet werden.)
• Die Laufwerkbezeichnung eines Diskettenlaufwerks richtet sich nach dem jeweiligen
Modell.

Falls der FDD Treiber nicht installiert wurde, befolgen Sie zur Installation bitte folgende Schritte. (Da
der Diskettenlaufwerk-Treiber automatisch auf Windows 2000 installiert wird, braucht das
folgende Verfahren nicht ausgeführt zu werden.)
1 Schließen Sie den FDD an Ihren Computer an.
2 Wenn die Meldung [Neue Hardware hinzufügen- Assistent]erscheint, wählen Sie
[Weiter].
3 Wählen Sie [Suche besten Treiber für Ihr Gerät (Empfohlen)], und anschließend
[Weiter].
4 Wenn die Aufforderung [Pfad angeben]erscheint, geben Sie [c:\util\drivers\usbfdd]
ein und wählen Sie anschließend [Weiter].
5 Bestätigen Sie, dass [PnP TEAC USB FDD] als Gerät erscheint und wählen Sie
anschließend [Weiter].
6 Wählen Sie [Beenden].

• Ne retirez pas une disquette ni ne mettez l’ordinateur hors tension lorsque l’indicateur
FDD est allumé.
• Pour retirer un lecteur de disquettes avec Windows 2000, cliquez deux fois sur
de la
barre de tâches et sélectionnez le dispositif USB, puis appuyez sur [Arrêter].
• Ne passez pas en mode de veille (suspension) ou mode de veille prolongée pendant
l’accès à des données.
• N’introduisez/ne retirez pas le lecteur de disquettes lorsque l’ordinateur est en mode de
veille (suspension) ou mode de veille prolongée
• Le lecteur de disquettes ne peut pas être utilisé avec un ordinateur central USB alimenté
par bus.
• Ne compressez/décompressez pas un lecteur de disquettes avec DriveSpace 3.
• Un seul lecteur de disquettes externe peut être raccordé au connecteur USB de l’ordinateur
ou à un ordinateur central USB.
• N’utilisez pas simultanément ce lecteur de disquettes avec d’autres lecteurs de disquettes
ou lecteurs SuperDisk.
• Le lecteur de disquettes est conçu pour fonctionner avec Windows 98 et Windows 2000,
mais non avec Windows NT. (Toutefois, si les instructions d’utilisation et le manuel de
référence de l’ordinateur le spécifie expressément, le lecteur de disquettes peut être
utilisé avec Windows NT.)
• La lettre désignant l’unité d’un lecteur de disquettes est différente selon le modèle.

Si le pilote FDD n’a pas été installé, installez-le en suivant la procédure suivante. (Le pilote
FDD étant installé automatiquement avec Windows 2000, vous n’avez pas besoin d’effectuer
les procédures suivantes.)

Connectez le FDD sur votre ordinateur.
A [Assistant ajout de matériel], sélectionnez [Suivant].
Sélectionnez [Chercher meilleur pilote pour le matériel(Recommandé)], puis [Suivant].
Cochez [Spécifier un emplacement], tapez [c:\util\drivers\usbfdd], puis sélectionnez
[Suivant].
5 Vérifiez que [PnP TEAC USB FDD] est affiché comme périphérique, puis sélectionnez
[Suivant].
6 Sélectionnez [Terminer].
