STABILOY® Brand MC (Metal Clad) Cable
General Cable’s interlocked aluminum armor type MC Cable
is designed for above-ground applications. The distinctive
features unique to STABILOY® Brand MC Cable provide
signi cant savings in installation cost and time. It is quicker
and easier to install than conventional pipe and wire and it
is not limited by the 360 degree bend rule.
STABILOY Brand MC Cable consists of either three or four
insulated phase-identi ed conductors plus a bare
equipment grounding conductor inside interlocked
aluminum alloy armor. STABILOY Brand MC Cable is a UL
Listed, factory-produced assembly.
Product Features:
• Compact stranded conductors (AA-8030
aluminum alloy) as recognized in ASTM
B800, B801 and B836 standards
• All-in-one assembly offers fewer installation
steps, dramatically reducing installation time
• STABILOY Brand aluminum alloy phase
conductors with cross-linked polyethylene
(XLPE) insulation perform better in cold impact,
wet electrical and long-term aging tests
• Overall  exibility not available with a conduit
• Factory tested, engineered product that protects
conductors from damage during installation
• Insulation is free of harmful heavy metals in
compliance with RoHS, Directive 2002/95/EC
• Terminates safely with industry standard dual
rated aluminum lugs
• Meets the requirements of Underwriters
Laboratories Inc., Standard 1569 for Metal-Clad
Cables and Standard 44 for thermoset insulated
conductors

• For service entrance, feeders and branch circuits
• For power, lighting and signal circuits
• Indoors
• Where exposed or concealed
• In cable tray
• In certain hazardous locations
• In dry locations and embedded in plaster  nish on
brick or other masonry except in damp or wet
conditions
• Interior temporary power
