NEMA Spade Transformer Connectors
For dead fronting pad mount transformers with 4-
hole NEMA spade secondary bushings.
“Flood-Seal” connectors permit the use of AL-CU
standard side formed 2-hole lugs.
“Flood-Seal” EPDM rubber insulating sleeves are
available to fully insulate outlets.
All outlets are provided with 1/2” plated steel hex
head bolts and captive belleville washer.
Cable range from 4/0 to 1000 MCM aluminum or
copper. Lugs are ordered separately, see below.
All “Flood-Seal” connectors meet or exceed ANSI
C119.4 requirements.

Sweetheart Connectors are performance engineered to meet exacting
field requirements. All SHC series connectors feature time saving set
screw hex wrench installation. “Ball bottom” screws provide the
widest conductor range and aid in the break up aluminum oxides.
Sweetheart outlet configuration nests two equal sized service
cables from #6 to 2/0 or two unequal sized cables from #2 to
2/0, saving outlet space and consequent cost. Unique, wide
range (1/0-350 MCM), cable outlets permits use of
streetlight wire either in original construction or as a
later addition.

Fast, easy cable repair - no special tools are needed to install our high
conductivity aluminum, mechanical splice - just a 5/16 hex wrench.
No taping, heat shrink or mastic - “Flood-Seal” EPDM rubber splice covers
insure a fully insulated, watertight repair splice.
Two splice lengths, 12" or 18", eliminate the need to add a length of cable
and make two splices.

Twin Tap Kits “Flood-Seal” Twin Tap assemblies provide a reliable,
economical means of making direct buried tap connections to URD secondaries. Each
kit includes a watertight submersible EPDM tap cover and a range taking H type
connector. Connectors are installed with popular 'O', 'D', and 'N' dies in Homac and
competitive compression tools.
Twin Tap kits are available for applications where one or two taps are required from a
continuing main and where two taps are required for terminal main. Both wiring
practices reduce cable usage and overall URD costs by allowing tap connections to be
made in closest proximity to service loads.
H type connectors exceed ANSI C119.4 requirements. Twin Tap covers are thoroughly tested for submersible application.

Pin Terminals - Aluminum Cable to Copper Stud
Wide application in connecting aluminum and
ACSR to copper alloy equipment clamps, designed
for use with copper.
Eliminate cold flow problems of aluminum
conductor in copper clamps.
Pin secured to aluminum body by heavy knurling
under factory compression.
After installation of aluminum conductor in the
terminal barrel, the pin is installed in the equipment
clamp. Annealed, tin plated copper pin is easily
bent to aid cable training.
Prefilled with oxide inhibitor compound.
Marked with wire size, installing dies and
compression locations.
Metal sealant protects pin/body interface from
moisture intrusion.
