CREATE A REMARKABLY VERSATILE MODULAR LIGHTING SYSTEM

Designed for maximum flexibility and versatility, the Superbay Series offers a

modular solution to meet the most demanding industrial needs. Fifteen

different optical systems are available, ranging from highbays to lowbays to

prismatic acrylics in both new construction and retrofit lighting applications.

Superbay Series is a truly modular lighting system. Two ballast housings may

be mated with fifteen efficient, task-specific optics to meet the most demanding

industrial lighting requirements. Superbay is an extremely flexible lighting

family that easily adapts to changing lighting and inventory requirements and is

well suited to both new construction and retrofit lighting applications.

SLICK-ON®AND QUICK-ON®

MOUNTING BRACKETS

Two mounting arrangements are available for the Superbay Series. These may

be shipped with luminaires, or in advance for prewiring to building structure.

Fixtures are shipped standard with Quick-On®bracket for easy pendant

mounting. They are also available with Slick-On®for fast and balanced conduit

thru wire, ceiling, and fused fixture installations.

THE BALLAST MODULE

The rugged, two-piece, die cast aluminum housing provides long life and

reliable operation. All electrical components are mounted directly to the

cast aluminum ballast housing for maximum heat dissipation and cool

operation. The standard white-painted ballast housing features Hubbell’s

Lektrocote®electrostatically applied fused powder finish for added corrosion

resistance and cooler operation. Ballasts are regulated, high power factor

with Class H insulation. Fixtures are UL 1598 listed for 55°C ambient operation

and damp locations (35°C for 1000 watt versions).

Remote/Offset Mounting

Superbay RO Series consists of a ballast module and a remote reflector/refractor mounting

module that accepts any of the fourteen Superbay optical systems. This series is ideal for

applications requiring low profile luminaires or remote mounting of ballasts – for highbays,

lowbays, prismatic refractors, aislelighters, and enclosed and gasketed fixtures.

The BL-BI Series provides a classic,

economical way to deliver highbay illu-

mination. It features an Anodal®fin-

ished 14" diameter spun aluminum

reflector, field-adjustable brackets in

narrow, medium and wide lighting

distributions for application flexibility.

The BL-SU Series has specification-

grade photometry with uplight com-

ponent. Its Anodal®finished 19"

diameter spun aluminum reflector

and field-adjustable brackets provide

narrow, medium and wide lighting

distributions for application flexibility.

Engineered for applications requiring

downlighting only, the BL-SD Series

is an Anodal®finished 19" diameter

spun aluminum reflector. Field-

acrylic reflector combines an attractive

appearance with superb performance.

Field-adjustable brackets allow for

medium to wide lighting distributions.

Our durable 22" diameter acrylic

reflector in the BL-WA Series is

designed for 15- to 30-foot mounting

heights in areas that call for efficient

three-dimensional illumination as

well as good looks. Field-adjustable

brackets allow for medium to wide

lighting distributions. For optimum

performance and visual comfort,

coated lamps are recommended. It is

UL listed for 55°C ambient operation

for lamps up to 400 watts.

The new WW22 reflector features a

highly reflective surface, which pro-

duces a soft, glowing appearance,

hides fingerprints, and blends with

light colored ceilings. The uplight

component of the WW22 reflector is

minimal, at 17% or lower, using just

the right amount of uplight to elimi-

nate the cave effect. Downlight levels

are increased, providing more down-

ward light for merchandise, aisles or

assembly lines.

vertical illumination. The heavy-

gauge 23" diameter aluminum

reflector features a white Lektrocote®

finish with an attractive acrylic pris-

matic refractor – hinged and latched

for easy relamping.

The 29" BL-LM Series provides

excellent illumination of three-

dimensional visual tasks – combining

low brightness with specification-

grade photometry. Blending the

attractiveness of acrylic with the

performance of lowbay lighting, the

hinged and latched prismatic refractor

provides great visual comfort.

Superwatt®2.0 is designed to deliver

comfortable, high efficiency illumination

for both vertical as well as horizontal

System is an effective and easy-to-implement solution to save energy and

significantly lower operating costs. Installations can achieve up to a 40%

reduction in electricity cost with extended ballast and capacitor life.

DIM HID LAMPS TO SAVE ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Power to HID lamps can be safely reduced to 50% of nominal output with no

degradation of lamp life and then switched instantly to full power when

The Light Bat Dual-Level Control System

The Light Bat Dual-Level Control System is an integrated digital HID dual-level

switching controller and sensor. One sensor comes with every fixture and

is plugged into a Myzer port connector. Complex wiring and setup is eliminated,

and can thereby reduce the total installed cost (materials and labor) by

over 50%.

Energy savings can be maximized with sensors at every fixture. Only Hubbell’s

new advanced dual-level switching system will reliably operate with short,

one-minute timer settings. This is a key requirement to reduce energy by over

40%, even in the busiest of warehouses.The Light Bat Dual-Level Control features

the following:

• One sensor per fixture for maximum savings

• Best sensing performance

• Lowest installed cost for combination dual-level switching

and motion sensing
