metal halide track lighting.
Designed to meet the need for higher light levels in mer-
chandising areas while providing superior energy effi-
ciency, PowerArc utilizes ceramic arc tube metal halide
lamps for superior color rendering and long lamp life with
minimal color shift. Carefully designed around the light
source, PowerArc can save up to 70% of the energy con-
sumed by ordinary incandescent fixtures.
The PowerArc design features an ideal balance of soft
curves and hard edges that integrates well with virtually
anyinterior.TwoversionsofPowerArcareavailable;a30°
flood and an asymmetrical wall washer. The wall washer
features an integral kick reflector that provides wide, even
illumination over vertical surfaces.
A number of key features allow PowerArc to provide unpar-
alleled flexibility and performance. An aiming angle indica-
tor conveniently measured in degrees allows a series of
luminaires to be precisely set to the same aiming angle. The
PowerArc’s protective glass lens can be slid out from either
direction and uses no hinges or clips. A hidden micro-safety
switch automatically de-powers the fixture during relamp-
ing for safety. By providing a visual cutoff to the face of the
fixture, a vertical blade louver can be used for glare control
or an optional accessory holder can be added to hold an
asymmetrical spread lens, UV filter, or incandescent con-
version filter. An ideal way to provide powerful floodlighting
and wall washing, PowerArc’s Energy Smart® performance
allows fewer fixtures to be used to light a space, providing
superior economy compared to other fixtures.

lighting applications.
Its ability to be installed in damp locations makes it an
excellent choice for atriums, covered outdoor balconies

PowerArc Canopy Mount provides a clean, unobtrusive

The ParTech Concept
Lytespan’s ParTech delivers high impact lighting by com-
bining compact halogen light sources with a versatile and
adaptable line of luminaires. Designed specifically for the
PAR16, PAR20, PAR30, and PAR38 lamps, their crisp
white light creates the dramatic effects of low voltage
lighting without the need for transformers. The complete
ParTech offering includes two unique adapters, twist-on
shades and accessories.
Low Profile ParTech Adapter
The compact, sculptured style of Low Profile ParTech
is perfect for tight spaces such as troughs or other archi-
tectural enclosures. ParTech luminaires are ruggedly
constructed of die-cast aluminum and vented for cool
operation. Accessory holder is required when accesso-
ries such as spread lenses, colour filters or louvers are
being used.
Hinged ParTech Adapter
A hinged, chrome-plated steel lever cradles the lampholder
andpermitsadjustmentupto90°fromvertical.Die-cast
aluminum shades with bayonet mount attach with a simple
twist-action. Shades hug the lamp profile and may be used
with hex cell louver, beam elongator and beam smoother;
barn doors for PAR20 or PAR30 Bezel only.

Theatrical Lytespot
Influenced by the aesthetics of stage lighting, Theatrical
Lytespots combine dramatic style with affordability. Line
voltage styles are designed around the proportions of the
lamp but can use a PAR38 sizelamp aswell. Anexter-
nal accessory “holder” is not required for these Lytespots
making them an extraordinary value. One unit has an
integral barn door and the other unit features an integral
accessory cartridge that can accommodate up to 2 acces-
sories simultaneously.

PowerTrip Breaker Modules

PowerTrip™
PowerTrip is a current limiting device designed for use with
Lytespan Basic Track and Advent Track. It works by mini-
mizing the impact of current; particularly with fluorescent
or metal halide light sources in retail applications.
How it Works
PowerTrip replaces standard Live-End and In-Line track
power feeds and is just as easy to install. PowerTrip
connectors contain a miniature electro-magnetic circuit
breaker that limits the current load on the track to a
specified amperage/wattage. Exceeding the rating of the
PowerTrip device by increasing fixture wattage or count
breaks the circuit and shuts off power to the track. Remove
the excess load, reset the PowerTrip breaker and power is
restored to the track.
How to Select
Total the wattage (including ballast input wattage if appli-
cable) of all fixtures that will be used on each circuit of
track. Determine the default wattage as stipulated by the
applicable code. If the actual load exceeds the default load
PowerTrip is not required. If the default load is higher than
the actual load select the PowerTrip kit that exceeds but is
closest to the actual load.
How to Order
PowerTrip is a two-part system. Choose the PowerTrip kit
that best suits the power feed requirements of the installa-
tion, either Live-End or In-Line. Next choose the PowerTrip
Breaker Module as shown in “How to Select” above. Order
both components separately.

Lytespan Track housings
Recessed extruded aluminum housing encloses Basic or
Advent track, sold separately, for a clean ceiling. Housing
has minimum-width trim flange for use with all ceiling
materials and can be field-cut to length. Recessed track
is fed from splice box installed at the end of, or between
housings. Electrical connector kit connects track sections
through “L”, “T”, and “X”. Ceiling Material should not pro-
trude below the flange of the recessed housing to ensure
proper installation of Lytespots.

TrackTrack
Basic and Advent track can be recessed in 4' or 8' recessed
housings. The housings may be installed individually or in straight
runs and may be cut in the field. Use an individual track with a single
housing. Use an individual track and as many joiner tracks as required
for a run of housings. Lathing tabs, splines, and mounting clips are
supplied with housings. Splines secure housings together. The end
splice box is used for power feed and may be installed at the end
of or between housings. End caps are provided with splice boxes.

recessed track to be installed in patterns. Each
straight run of track between splice boxes is started
with a plain track or individual track with live end
removed and as many joiner tracks as required.

ProSpec Line Voltage Cylinders feature a classic
design that is easily integrated into various architectural
environments. Each unit accepts the ProSpec Media
Cartridge which can hold up to three accessories and
allows quick and convenient changing of filters, louvers
and screens.
Product Features
1. Flush Adapter: inserts easily into track and provides
separate mechanical and electrical connection.
2. Lever: energizes fixture electrically by 90° rotation.
Fixture cannot be mechanically engaged or disengaged
when powered.
3. Stem: constructed of stainless steel; 5/8" OD; 0.049"
wall thickness.
4. Tru-Lock™: aiming mechanism allows simultaneous
horizontal and vertical locking. Full tension is
maintained even when braking lever is released to
hold aiming position.
5. Finish: all painted finishes are powder coated baked
enamel.
6. Indicator Guide: allows precise fixture aiming.
7. Housing : 20 gauge (0.036") drawn steel construction.
Hemmed front edge provides supe rior durability and
additional stiffness, prevents chipping and enhances
appearance.
8. Media Cartridge: allows convenient loading and
removal of up to three accessories without disturbing
aiming adjustment. Easily installed and removed with
a simple twisting motion. Constructed of formed
aluminum.
9. Clamping Wedges: cam-operated wedges expand
or release gripper springs from track ledge; gripper
springs hold adapter securely within track.
10. Cross Blade Louver: extruded aluminum, 1"
deep, provides additional shielding and can be easily
removed.

Featuring a wide selection of halogen light sources,
ProSpec’s Low Voltage Cylinders provide powerful, yet
easily controlled light that’s ideal for display environ-
ments. The PAR36 Cylinder features a dual tap 5.5/12V
transformer with a convenient slide switch. The PAR36
Cylinder and Stepped Cylinder also feature lamps that can
be rotated from 0–180° and locked in place.

ProSpec Wall Washers feature an asymmetrical spread
lens and an anodized aluminum kick reflector to distribute
light evenly from ceiling to floor. The kick reflector assem-
bly can hold one accessory and be removed from the front
for relamping. ProSpec’s Tru-Lock™ aiming mechanism
allows simultaneous locking of both horizontal and verti-
cal positions. Ring Wall Washers feature highly adjustable
yoke mounting.

Line Voltage Rings
These line voltage units feature a clean, minimal look that’s
ideal for museums, lobbies and other institutional environ-
ments. Extremely versatile, they can be adjusted horizon-
tally and vertically and then locked in place. The convenient
Indicator Guide allows a series of fixtures to be accurately
aimed and adjusted. These Line Voltage Rings also include
ProSpec’s Media Cartridge, so lters, louvers and screens
can be added or removed without disturbing aiming adjust-
ment. Ring and Cylinder Media Cartridges of the same size are
completely interchangeable. A Cross Blade Louver provides
additional shielding and can be easily removed if necessary.

Surface Mount Track
ProSpec Track is a family of track products from Lightolier
designed to be used exclusively with ProSpec lighting
instruments. It is available in 4', 8' or 12' sections in either
Plain or Feed units. The track is crafted of extruded alumi-
num and joins together with a nearly invisible seam for a
continuous appearance. Tracks can be fed directly at the
end or anywhere along its surface. ProSpec Track can be
mounted directly to a surface or with a choice of standard
Direct Mounting Clips or optional Stand-Off Mounting Clips
which lower the track from the ceiling by 3/8 of an inch and
provide a neat appearance on uneven surfaces. A full line
of ProSpec connectors makes it easy to achieve the exact
pattern desired during installation.
Feed track contains electrical module with screw terminals
for feeding power. There are no seams in track extrusion.
Two wires may be attached to one screw terminal.

ProSpec Track Specifications
• A two circuit track consisting of two separate
120V 60Hz 20 amp branch circuits, each with
dedicated neutrals
• Track is continuously grounded throughout but need
not be polarized since the circuits are arranged
symmetrically within the track
• Flush Adapters can be inserted in any orientation

track opening horizontal to the floor. This is possible
if the track is running parallel to the slope or perpen-
dicular to the slope.

1/2-14 thread to accept a 3/8" or 1/2" (trade

ProSpec Recessed Track
When an exceptionally clean look at the ceiling is desired,
ProSpec’s Recessed Track is the preferred choice. These
flanged housings with integral track are available in 4', 8'
and 12' sections for a simplified, all-in-one installation.
Recessed Track is available in either Feed or Plain units.
The housing has minimum-width trim flange ideal for all
ceiling materials and can be eld-cut to length. ProSpec
Recessed Track is designed to be recessed in dry ceiling
applications only, such as sheet rock or suspended acous-
tic ceilings.

Full Ceiling Integration
ProSpec Recessed Flangeless Track provides full integra-
tion of the track system into the ceiling for the cleanest
possible appearance. The housings with integral track are
available in 4', 8' and 12' sections and feature a mounting
flange that is completely concealed by the finished ceiling.
The track sections are available in Feed and Plain units and
can be eld-cut to length. ProSpec Recessed Flangeless
Track is designed to be recessed in dry ceiling applications
only, such as sheet rock or plaster ceilings.

Installing ProSpec Recessed Flangeless Track
• Power is fed into Integral Feed contained in the
Feed Track
• Recessed Flangeless Track can also be fed from
a Floating Splice Box installed at the end of or between
housings (order separately)
• Order one Feed Track unit and as many Plain Track
units as required for each straight run of track between
intercepts
• Patterns can be constructed using the recessed “L”
power extensions or In-Line Connectors
• Power can be fed into Recessed “L” or In-Line
Connectors
• Invisible Coupler is used to join straight tracks
mechanically and electrically
• All connectors are extruded aluminum housings with
the same profile as the Recessed Flangeless Track
to provide a clean continuous look
• All connectors can be joined to the cut end of the track

and shaping of the light beam.
All accessories are designed to attach easily. Accessory
holders hold one, two or three accessories. Simply choose
the correct size needed for the attached shade.
A complete accessory consists of a size and series
suffix. For example, AF25 + UV = AF25UV (2-1/2"
