CPT MAGNETIC CARD READER

CPT MAGNETIC CARD READER
Adding to the versatility of CPT word processing equipment ,
the CPT Magnetic Card Reader (MCR) will convert information recorded on mag cards so that it may be read by a CPT
8000 word processor and recorded on disk.
The MCR is linked to a CPT 8000 by an RS232 standard
connector. CPT MCR software, RS232 compatibility , and
the proper code set relating to the recorded mag cards are all
that is needed to convert mag card media to disk.
Text from a mag card is read on the CPT screen at 2400 BPS,
or approximately nine seconds per card. The operator then
records the converted text on to disk, stopping only to revise
or edit as desired . The CPT MCR is fast and accurate, and
will meet your office needs reliably and efficiently.
