PHILCD FACT SHEET Number 13A, January 1963 PHILCO 4000 SERIES PRINTER 300 Lines Per Minute The 300 line per minute Printer is used to produce high-quality printed output from the Philco 4000. Sixty-three Philco characters plus a blank column may be printed on continuous forms up to 20 inches in width. The Printer can be connected to any channel of the Philco 4000. SPEED • Prints at the rate of 300 lines per minute. • Skips at the rate of 6,000 lines per minute. • Produces up to 6 clearly printed single or multiple forms. • Prints up to 120 characters per line. • Prints 10 characters per horizontal inch, 6 or 8 lides per vertical inch. • Prints PAPER SIZES • Accepts paper up to 20 inches wide with no limit on form length. TYPE STYLES • Type faces are interchangeable. PROGRAMMING FEATURES Accepts PRINTING PHILeo • 63 different characters instructions from the plus a blank column. Philco 4000 as follows: • Connect - Electronically connects the Philco 4000 Central Processor to the Printer. This reserves the Printer for use with the Central Processor. Print - Causes a line of up to 120 characters to be printed. • Page - Advances the paper to the first line of the next form. • Space - Advances the paper the number of lines specified. • Line - Advances the paper to the line specified. • Disconnect - Disconnects the Central Processor from the Printer.
