Since its introduction onto the UK market in

1989, the Ondutile system has been continually

developed to become the acknowledged market

leading independent secondary weatherproof

roof underlay system for low pitch tile, slate, and

applications and shingle applications.

24mm Isoline base sheet

The detailed design and xing instructions are

described in the Ondutile leaet. The main

difference in the xing instructions being the size

and type of the xings required to nail through

the tile batten through the top of the low-line

sheet corrugation and into the Ondutile support

batten or decking.

mechanical xing section and amend as follows:

Mechanical xing specications:

Ondutile low-line is xed in accordance with the

Ondutile xing instructions set out in the existing

Ondutile leaet but with the alteration to the nail

xing specication for the tile batten xing and

sheet laying specication as follows:

Type A xing specication: (Ring shank) 65mm

Type B xing specication: (Ring shank) 65mm

The Ondutile lowline base sheets are laid with a

double corrugation side lap and 200mm end

lap. A sheet under normal conditions will provide

1.7m2 coverage compared to the 1.5m2 of a

standard Onduline PPHR sheet

With the introduction of a new Onduline low-line

base sheet the Ondutile system now offers the

choice of two base sheets to select from.

Existing Onduline PPHR High ventilation

This proven tile underlay base sheet maximises

sub roof ventilation and gives outstanding

ventilation above and below the sheet providing

weathering performance.

New Onduline Lowline 24mm Low prole

Provides the same durable weathering

performance whilst reducing the roof section

making it ideal for projects on which the height

restriction or the aesthetic appearance of the roof

line is of paramount importance.

existing proven Ondutile; or the new Ondutile

Lowline prole base sheet to suit your

roong design requirements. Allowing

roong tiles and slates to be laid below the

manufacturers minimum recommended roof

pitch with condence.

Under roong system

Ondutile forms a cold roof section and requires

ventilation above and below the Onduline sheet, if

decking is used, slots in the decking can be provided

at high and low levels to form ventilation channels

utilising the sheet corrugations which contribute

10,500mm2 per linear metre ventilation to the total

ventilation requirement. This is sufciant low level

ventilation at the eaves for Roof pitches of 15o

or more requiring 10,000mm2 per linear metre

low level and not less than 5,000mm2 per linear

metre high level. The ventilation requirement is

set out in the Ondutile leaet.
