Connecting to Windows VM Using Remmina on Linux

Remmina is a free remote desktop software available for Linux systems. For full documentation,

including installation instructions for specific distributions, you can check out:

After opening Remmina, switch back the Google Cloud Console window. Type in the external IP

that correlates to your Windows instance into Remmina, under the “Server” field. Head’s up:

Your IP will be different than the example shown below.

Enter student for the user name field in Remmina. For password, use the same password you

used to sign into Google Cloud Console. If you no longer have this copied to your clipboard, you

can find it in Qwiklabs under “Connection Details.”

You might receive a notice that the identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. In this

case, click “Yes” to continue connecting. And voila! You’re good to go.
