Introduction By connecting the Bluetooth adaptor to your Hi-Fi speaker system, you can enjoy audio EN from your Bluetooth-enabled device on your speakers through Bluetooth wireless connection. What's in the box Check and identify the contents of your package: • Main unit • AC power adaptor • RCA audio cable • User manual EN 2 Get started »» The Bluetooth adaptor switches to Bluetooth pairing mode. »» The LED indicator turns blue. Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence. Connect audio cables There are two ways to connect the Bluetooth adaptor to your speakers. Select one fit for the speakers. Option 1 Option 2 Connect power Caution •• Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power supply voltage matches the voltage printed on the bottom of the unit. •• Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord. Note •• The type plate is located at the back of the Bluetooth adaptor. Connect the power adaptor to: • the DC IN socket at the back of the Bluetooth adaptor. • the wall outlet. Turn on Press . EN 3 Play from Bluetoothenabled devices • Move the device beyond the communication range. Note •• The effective operating range between the Bluetooth adaptor and the paired device is approximately 10 meters (30 feet). •• Keep this docking speaker away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. •• Make sure that the Bluetooth adaptor is connected to the powered speakers correctly. Press on the top to activate the Bluetooth pairing mode. »» The Bluetooth indicator blinks. On your Bluetooth device, turn on Bluetooth function and search for Bluetooth devices (refer to the device's user manual). When [Philips BT adaptor] (Philips BT adaptor) is displayed on your device, select it to start connection. If necessary, enter the password "0000". »» If connection is successful, you will hear double beep confirmation tone, and the Bluetooth indicator stays in blue steadily. Play audio on your device. »» Audio streams from your device to your speakers. Note •• If your Bluetooth device has been paired with AEA2000 before, you just need to find out [Philips BT adaptor] on your Bluetooth menu, then confirm the connection. To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself. If you encounter problems when using this device, check the following points before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved, go to the Philips Web page (www. philips.com/support). When you contact Philips, make sure that the device is nearby and the model number and serial number are available. No power •• Make sure that the AC power adapter is connected properly. •• Make sure that there is power at the AC outlet. •• The device does not support the profiles required for the system. •• The Bluetooth function of the device is not enabled. Refer to the user manual of the device for how to enable the function. •• The system is not in the pairing mode. •• The system is already connected with another Bluetooth-enabled device. Disconnect that device or all other connected devices and then try again. The paired device connects and disconnects constantly. •• The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the system or remove any obstacle between the device and the system. •• For some devices, the Bluetooth connection may be deactivated automatically as a power-saving feature. This does not indicate any malfunction of the system. No sound from your speaker •• Check if the speaker is connected to power. •• Make sure that the speaker is connected with the Bluetooth adaptor properly. •• Make sure that the Bluetooth wireless connection is successful. About Bluetooth device Music playback is unavailable on the system even after successful Bluetooth connection. •• The device cannot be used with the system to play music. The audio quality is poor after connection with a Bluetooth-enabled device. •• The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the system or remove any obstacle between the device and the system. Cannot connect with the system.
