Targus FM Music Transmitter
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Targus FM Music
Transmitter. This FM Music Transmitter is a hand-held device
that can transform audio signals into FM signals. It is especially
suitable for listening to MP3 music in a stereo system incapable
of playing MP3’s and other Internet music files. It is also ideal
for car stereos.

Transmitter.

supply.

Transmitter, e.g. 107.9 MHz. Make sure that this frequency
is available for use with minimal interference and is not too
close to a local radio station.
4. Tune your own FM receiver or car stereo to the
corresponding frequency, i.e. 107.9 MHz as per above
example.
5. Music will be played from your own FM stereo system.

Troubleshooting
What should I do if the FM Music Transmitter does not work?
•
Make sure that the polarity of the batteries is correct. The
Positive (+) and Negative (-) ends of each battery must
match the Positive (+) and Negative (-) connections as
shown on the battery housing.
•
•
•
Check to see that the FM Music Transmitter is firmly
attached to the audio output on your source device.
Make sure that your own FM Stereo System has radio
function.
Make sure that the FM Music Transmitter and your own FM
Stereo system are powered “On” and tuned to the same
frequencies.
Will my preset stations be lost if the FM Music Transmitter is
running on batteries?
•
No. Changing the batteries will not affect the preset stations.
Even if the Transmitter batteries are running out, the preset
