PLAATO Functions
Fermentation activity
The fermentation activity gives information about how fast the yeast is working.
Several factors are affected by this number, whereas taste is the most important.
Controlling the activity is one of the key steps that should be taken in order to get
good results every time you make beer. The normal and most practical way to adjust
is by controlling the fermentation temperature.
The fermentation activity is a valuable piece of information, that can be used to fine
tune the fermentation to obtain the desirable taste in different varieties of beer.
By analyzing the taste of a batch and comparing it to the fermentation activity,

Temperature
PLAATO has a built in temperature sensor that monitors the ambient temperature of
the fermenter.
Use this information to optimize the temperature during the different stages of
fermentation.

PLAATO Functions
Specific gravity (beta)
PLAATO knows at all times the amount of CO2 the fermentation has generated. By
typing the original gravity and volume into the app, PLAATO is able to estimate the
specific gravity (SG) of your beer, without touching the beer.
The SG is valuable to know when your beer is ready, or to see if the fermentation
continues as its supposed to. The change in SG is displayed in the history graph in
the app - a unique curve to the beer that is in the making.
Note that the estimation functionality is
