Introduction As required by FCC KDB Publication 680106 D01 wireless charging devices require RF exposure evaluation. For A4WP charging devices it is typically necessary to have FCC oversight through the pre-Approval Guidance (PAG) procedures (formerly referenced to as Permit But Ask or PBA) Intel has performed the evaluation for the charging coil and associated electronics at maximum charging current of 0.68 Amps (rms) and has followed FCC's Pre-Approval Guidance procedures. If the wireless charging feature is integrated into another device the FCC rules and approvals requirements applicable to the other device need to be followed and a separate KDB enquiry shall be submitted to the FCC to confirm the appropriate RF exposure evaluation distance and device configurations.
