Introduction
As required by FCC KDB Publication 680106 D01 wireless charging devices require RF exposure
evaluation. For A4WP charging devices it is typically necessary to have FCC oversight through
the pre-Approval Guidance (PAG) procedures (formerly referenced to as Permit But Ask or PBA)
Intel has performed the evaluation for the charging coil and associated electronics at maximum
charging current of 0.68 Amps (rms) and has followed FCC's Pre-Approval Guidance
procedures. FCC the approved the RF exposure evaluation of this combination of coil and
maximum charging current and the approval for a 20cm separation distance can be leveraged to
support this specific device's characteristics and form factor and is only applicable to identical
devices as defined in 47 CFR 2.908.
During the certification process for the Bluetooth transceiver (and possibly Part18 wireless
charging transmitter)
the Certification body should request a copy of the KDB enquiry. The enquiry shall ne filed as
confidential document in accordance with FCC procedures and should be accompanied by a
copy of this document and user information document containing the required information.
This KDB enquiry still requires that the final device be tested for compliance with the
requirements of Part 18 for Consumer ISM devices and FCC Part 15.247 for the Bluetooth
transmitter.
If the wireless charging feature is integrated into another device the FCC rules and approvals
requirements applicable to the other device need to be followed and a separate KDB enquiry shall
be submitted to the FCC to confirm the appropriate RF exposure evaluation distance and device
configurations.

Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the
following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
