The flashing continues for approximately 3 minutes or until the headset is connected to a compatible phone. If the headset can’t be connected to the phone during this time, the headset enter connectable status.  • Connectable –Green light flashing once every 2.5 seconds.  • Connection active –Green light flashing twice every 5 seconds  • Incoming call –Green light flashing 2 times every 1 second.  • Active call –Green light flashing alternately  every 5 seconds.   • Power off –Red light constant on for 1 seconds and beep once.  • Low battery – Red light flashing follows Green light and beep on every 300 seconds.    1.3  Charger connector (5): For headset battery charging  1.4  Earpiece (6): Relay the caller’s voice.  1.5      Microphone (7)

Charging the battery  Before using HTC BH M500, we advise that you charge the product for approximately 2 hours. When the battery is fully charged, it provides up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time.  1. Connect the charger cable to HTC BH M500  2. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet. When  HTC BH M500 is charging, Red light is on. 3. When the battery is fully charged, the Red light is off and Green light is on.    3.  Pairing the Bluetooth headset with a compatible phone Pairing is the process of linking the headset with your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. After this process is completed, you can use the HTC BH M500 only with this paired mobile phone. If you want to use HTC BH M500 with another mobile phone, you must repeat the pairing process again. The HTC BH M500 can be paired with up to 8 compatible phones but connected to only one phone at a time.  1. Make sure that the compatible phone is turned on and within 10 meters of the headset.  2. Turn on HTC BH M500 and make sure the headset is charged. Press and hold MFB for about 4 seconds. The Green LED will flash rapidly. Release the button and the headset is now in pairing mode.   3. Activate the Bluetooth connection from the phone. You may need to consult with  user guide of your phone regarding how to do that.  4. Set the phone to start searching for Bluetooth devices as instructed in user guide of your phone.  5. Select the device name HTC BH M500 from the list displayed on the phone.  6. Enter the pin code 0000 to connect (or “pair”) HTC BH M500 to the phone.    7. Start using the headset.   4.  Disconnecting the Bluetooth headset from the phone  To disconnect HTC BH M500 from the phone, do one of the following:

Disconnect HTC BH M500 in the phone menu.  3. Move the headset more than 10 meters away from the phone.  Note that you do not need to delete the pairing with the headset to disconnect it. When you reconnect a paired headset, you will not be asked for its pin code again.   5.  Reconnecting the paired Bluetooth headset to the compatible phone  To reconnect HTC BH M500 to the last phone used, simply switch on the headset and it will automatically connect to the phone. There are occasions when headset is temporarily out of Bluetooth operating range (up to 10 meters, e.g. user wearing the headset walks away from the phone), the headset will be disconnected from the phone and user will hear a warning tone from the headset. Headset is  power on now, but no Bluetooth connection mode (Green light flashes once every 2.5 seconds). If the headset is back in range within 2 minutes, the HTC BH M500 auto-reconnects with the last phone. If the headset is out of range for over 2 minutes, long press or double press MFB button to reactivate the connection.   6. Powering Up  To turn on HTC BH M500 Press and hold the MFB for about 2 seconds. HTC BH M500 beeps and the Green light starts blinking. (First time use requires pressing it for 5 seconds.)  To turn off HTC BH M500 Press and hold the MFB for about 5 seconds, HTC BH M500 beeps and the Red  light is displayed briefly.   7. Making calls  When HTC BH M500 is connected to the phone, make a call by using the phone in

Note that the call functions depend on the phone that you use.  8.  Answering and ending a call  When you receive a call, you hear a ringing tone through the headset. Short press the MFB key to answer the call; to end the currently active call by short press MFB key. Of caurse, you can also answer and end the call using the phone.  Note: Some phones offer Auto Answer function and may be used with Headset or Handsfree, but this is a phone dependent feature. Please check out the manual of your phone about how to use that function.   9.  Rejecting a call  When you receive an incoming call that you do not want to answer, double press the MFB key   10.  Redialing the last dialed number   Double press the MFB when no call is in progress.    11.  Voice dialing   When no call is in progress, pressing MFB, you can start saying the voice tag. The phone plays the voice tag and dials the related phone number.   Note: This is a phone dependent feature. Please check  the manual of your phone about how to use this function.   12.  Switching the call between phone and headset  Double-press the MFB or use the corresponding function in your phone, when a call is in progress.

Erase all paired device information  When HTC BH M500 is power off, long press the MFB until Green light blinks rapidly. The headset now is in pairing mode.   And then, again, long press MFB 2 seconds later to release MFB. Now red light and green light blinks alternately.  After these operation all paired device information are erased and headset enters pairing mode.   14.    Hardware reset  Press and hold MFB and insert the charger at the same time, the headset will be powered off. You may do this hardware reset and restart the headset when the headset is jammed.
