Keep itin a safe place so that you mayrefer to it often.WARNING: Before handlingthese pumps and controls,always disconnect the powerfirst. Do not smoke or use sparkable electrical devices orflames in a septic (gaseous) orpossible septic sump.To reduce risk of electrical shock:1. Risk of Electrical Shock:This pump has not beeninvestigated for use in swimming pool areas.2. Risk of Electrical Shock:Connect only to a properlygrounded receptacle.Septic tank is to be ventedin accordance with localplumbing codes.Do not smoke or use sparkableelectrical devices or flame in aseptic (gaseous) or possibleseptic sump.If a septic sump conditionexists and if entry into sump isnecessary, then (1) provideproper safety precautions perOSHA requirements and (2) do not enter sump until these precautions are strictlyadhered to.Do not install pump in locationclassified as hazardous perN.E.C., ANSI/NFPA 70 - 1999.Failure to heed above  cautionscould result in injury or death.GeneralInformationPumpWarningApprox. Turn-On LevelSW33A 91/2"SD33A 73/8" VS33A 83/8"Approx. Turn-Off LevelSW33A 37/8"SD33A 37/8"VS33A 37/8"Approx. Turn-On LevelSW50A 91/2"SD50A 77/8" VS50A 71/2"Approx. Turn-Off LevelSW50A 31/2"SD50A 33/8"VS50A 4"2. Make sure float (ModelsSW33/50 and VS33/50) hangsfree. It should not come intocontact with side or bottom ofsump.3. Make sure sump is free ofstring, cloth, nails, gravel, etc.before installing pump.4. Do not set pump directly onthe bottom of sump if it is notsolid.  Raise the pump byusing bricks or concrete blocksunderneath it.5. Use steel or plastic pipe for allconnecting lines betweenpump and sewer outlet.NOTE: Some city regulationsdo not allow installing apump with plastic pipe.Check local regulations.6. Hydromatic check valveshould be installed in discharge pipe, at least twelveinches above the dischargeoutlet of the pump.These important instructions must  be followed for satisfactoryperformance of your pump.Before installation, check your local electrical and plumbing codes.1.
