The Grundfos M
Q
is a compact all-in-one pressure boosting unit,
designed for domestic water supply and other boosting or lift
applications. The M
Q
is a compact and reliable, easy-to-install
pump, with many standard features.
The M
Q
is a self-priming multistage centrifugal pump. It self-primes
from a well depth of down to 25 feet within a maximum time of 5
minutes. The M
Q
pump is also ideal for pressure boosting from
water storage tanks or from city water supply (maximum 45 psi
inlet pressure).
The M
Q
pump is built for long life, trouble-free operation. It is made
from weatherproof, corrosion-resistant materials and can be placed
outdoors.
EASY TO SELECT
The Grundfos M
Q
makes it easy to select the right pump. The M
Q
is
an all-in-one unit with two models to choose from. There is no need
to worry about a separate pressure tank, pressure switch, electrical
connections, fittings, or any other separate items. With M
Q
it is
literally a matter of connect the power and turn on the pump.
Installation of an M
Q
pump is simple and can be done in a matter
of minutes, which gives you more time to relax.
EASY TO INSTALL
The M
Q
pump is easy to install. The discharge connection can move up to 5° to fit existing pipework, and the compact
design makes the pump easy to place even where space is limited.

The Grundfos M
Q
features an easy-to-use control
panel with indicator lights for indication of:
• pump on
• auto reset
• alarm (dry-running or overheating).
In the event of dry-run, the pump will stop and
afterwards attempt to restart automatically.
Restarting can also be done manually. If required,
the auto reset function can be disabled as well.

EASY TO OPERATE
Operating the M
Q
pump is simple and easy. The actual settings are
clearly indicated by light-diodes on the user-friendly control panel.
The M
Q
pump has a small built-in pressure tank to ensure
that water is readily available from the tap. When water
is required, the pump automatically starts and no
loss of pressure will be felt. It also features a
built-in check valve.

“Whisper quiet operation,” the M
Q
is
specially designed for use in domestic
applications where low noise is a major
consideration. The pump is cooled by the
pumped water which eliminated the need for a
noisy cooling fan. Because the pump is self-
cooling, you don’t need to have free space around
the pump for cooling purposes.
The M
Q
“anti-cycling” feature prevents the pump from continuously
starting and stopping when you have a dripping tap or minor leak in the system.
PROTECTIVE FEATURES
The M
Q
pump has built-in dry-run protection. If the pump runs dry, the pump automatically stops. It will then attempt
to restart every half hour for a maximum of 24 hours until water is available from the source.
If more than 24 hours pass without water, the pump must be restarted manually. The auto reset function can also be
disabled.
The M
Q
pump also has built-in thermal protection. If the pump overheats it immediately stops. After a 30-minute
cooling-down period, the pump will automatically restart.
The M
Q
has an easy accessible priming plug for filling the pump with water before start. It also has a drain plug to
prevent the pump from freezing.
