While there were plenty of water sensors on the market, none of them could alert him when he wasn’t home. SENSOR CABLE USER GUIDE 12 2 SCREWS 2 PRE-INSTALLED AA BATTERIES DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE WALL MOUNT PAD 13 WHAT YOU’LL NEED 14 • A Wink HUB, Relay (or other Winkcompatible or ZigBee-compatible hub) • Apple® or Android™ smart device (tablets and desktops not supported) • The Wink app downloaded to your mobile device from the iTunes App Store or Google Play. If you already have a Wink app installed, please download the latest version to ensure you have the most updated support. • A Wi-Fi® network connection with a router using WPA-PSK security. WEP security is not supported. Please refer to your router’s manual for instructions on converting your router to WPA security. • The area where Overflow will be mounted should be in range of the hub. 15 CONNECTING OVERFLOW TO THE WINK APP Note: Overflow should be in range of the hub. Pair Overflow in the area it will be mounted to ensure connectivity. 16 Insert a slotted screwdriver into the indent on the side of Overflow to open the bottom half of the unit. Remove the ribbon from the pre-installed batteries. Close back cover. Open the Wink app on your mobile device and log in with your email address and password. If this is your first time using the Wink app, tap Sign Up to create an account. Follow instructions on the Wink app. 17 MOUNTING OVERFLOW Position Overflow so the two sensor probes at the end of the cable are touching the base of the area to be monitored, or both probes are laying flat on the base of the area to be monitored. Note: In order for the sensor to work, BOTH probes must have contact with water. Make sure both probes are positioned correctly. Possible Overflow areas include: in the water heater tray, in the sump pump, at the toilet base, or at ground-level of the basement. THE AREA TO BE MONITORED 18 19 2 20 Once Overflow probe is in position, use the included adhesive pad to secure the main unit to a clean surface. Adhesive pad may damage certain surfaces during removal, so please test before using. 21 3 To attach Overflow more permanently, use the included screws for mounting. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the indent on the side of Overflow to open the bottom half of the unit. Screw the back battery door into the surface. Snap the unit back together. • NOTE: Do not mount Overflow on hot surfaces. 22 23 USING OVERFLOW • Once connected and customized using the Wink app, and positioned correctly, Overflow is ready to detect standing water, and alert you of any changes. • Follow instructions on the Wink app to operate Overflow. 24 25 IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION • Read all instructions and warnings prior to using device. Failure to comply with instructions and warnings constitutes improper use of device.Save all instructions. • Quirky, Inc. is not responsible for improper use, which may result in personal injury or product damage. • Not a toy. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. • Keep away from excessive heat, or flame, or extreme temperatures. • For battery replacement: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon - zinc), or rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries. • Battery must be recycled or disposed of properly. 27 COMPLIANCE This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. (“Quirky”) Original Purchase Product Warranty: Quirky warrants to the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) of this Quirky product, for the period of one (1) year following the date on which Purchaser purchases the product, that the product shall be free of defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship. Quirky will refund or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge. In order to qualify for this warranty, the Purchaser must provide the defective product and a copy of the original receipt of purchase to Quirky for inspection. Retirez le ruban des piles pré-installées. Fermez le panneau arrière. Ouvrez l’application Wink sur votre appareil mobile et ouvrez une session avec votre adresse courriel et mot de passe. Si c’est votre première utilisation de l’application Wink, touchez S’inscrire pour créer un compte. Suivez les instructions de l’application Wink. 51 INSTALLATION D’OVERFLOW 52 Mettez Overflow en place de manière à ce que les deux sondes du capteur à l’extrémité du câble touchent la base de l’aire à surveiller, ou de manière à ce que les deux sondes soient posées à plat sur la base de l’aire à surveiller. Pour que le capteur fonctionne, les DEUX sondes doivent entrer en contact avec de l’eau. Assurez-vous que les deux sondes sont mises en place correctement.
