Introduction:
Thank you for purchasing the RG3 Tesla AMR meter interface radio. This
innovative device allows you to read any compatible meter via radio eliminating
the need to read each meter visually. It simply connects to the meter register
and you are ready to go.
Installation:
The Tesla AMR meter comes to you pre-set at the factory ready to install in the
field. Wiring:
Attach the color coordinated wires to the terminals of the meter
register.
The meter register will have color designations on the terminals that
must match the colors of the wires on the meter interface radio.
The terminals must be sealed with a waterproof compound to
prevent data communication issues.
Once the wiring is complete, the meter interface radio will obtain a
meter reading and assume the serial number programmed into the
register within one hour.
Radio Mounting:
The meter interface radio should be mounted in the highest location
in the meter installation environment (pit/basement/building) to
ensure optimal signal propagation.
The design also allows for through lid mounting by removing the
circular disc at the top of the meter interface radio and inserting the
threaded portion through the bottom of the meter box lid. NOTE:
The bottom of the disc must be flush with the top of the meter box
lid so as the threaded portion does not protrude through the meter
box lid.
Operational Information:
The Tesla AMR meter is designed to operate with RG3’s Mobile Laptop Collector
or AMI Data Collector. The meter will transmit reading, tamper, and data logging
information to the Collector for billing and usage analysis purposes.
Maintenance:
Meter Interface:
There are no user maintainable components in the Infinity Tesla AMR meter
register. Please contact the Infinity Metering or your distributor regarding
maintenance issues.
