Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Signals
This wireless phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and
manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio
frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
of the U.S. Government. These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines
and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The
guidelines are based on the safety standards previously set by both U.S. and
international standards bodies. These standards include a substantial safety
margin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and
health. This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
This product has been shown to be capable of compliance for localized
specific absorption rate (SAR) for uncontrolled environment/general
population exposure limits specified in ANSI/IEEE Std. C95.1-1992 and had
been tested in accordance with the measurement procedures specified in
FCC/OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C (2001) and IEEE 1528-ϮϬϬϯ͟
For body worn operation, this handset has also been tested and meets the
FCC RF exposure guideline when used with the belt clip supplied with this
product. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF
exposure guidelines.
Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC/VC)
The G266 and G566 DECT Handsets meet the FCC standard for Hearing Aid
Compatibility.

using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the
transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to
other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the
equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that
necessary for successful communication.

used instead of the mentioned NEC USB Power Supplies.
The G266/G566 is fitted with a 3.7V/1100mAh/4.1 Wh Lithium-Ion battery3
which can be charged for 300 ʹ 500 charge cycles (fully charged to fully
discharged). A typical life expectancy for the battery is 2 to 3 years.
Always observe the following with respect to the battery:
x Only use the battery delivered with the G266/G566 (or a spare battery
of the recommended type ʹ NEC article code: 9600 017 87001).
x Never disassemble, customize or short-circuit batteries.
x Do not expose the battery ƚŽƚĞŵƉĞƌĂƚƵƌĞƐŝŶĞdžĐĞƐƐŽĨϲϬ϶;ϭϰϬ϶&Ϳ.

x Before placing the G266/G566 in the desktop charger, make sure the
battery is installed properly (see User Manual) and the battery cover is
securely in place.
x Do not charge the batteries by any other means! Using any other
charger may damage the battery and/or the G266/G566 and might even
cause the battery to explode.
Like any radio-based equipment, the G266/G566 can potentially cause
interference with other equipment. However due to the very low
transmission power level the chances for interference is very small. Research
proves that operational DECT phones (and thereby the G266/G566) normally

G266/G566 near sensitive electronic equipment. When the G266/G566 is
operated in straight nearness of sensitive electronic equipment incidental
influences can appear. You are advised not to place the G266/G566 on or
close (less than 10cm) to this kind of equipment, even in standby mode.
Do not rely on the G266/G566 as your only means of communication when
making indispensable calls (e.g. an emergency call).
Observe all warnings and instructions contained in the G266/G566 User
Manual.
When using the G266/G566 and its accessories observe the following:
x Do not expose the G266/G566 to rain or moisture, nor use the handset
near water.
x Do not use the G266/G566 on premises subject to explosive hazards.
x Do not expose the G266/G566 to high temperatures or direct sunlight
for an extended period of time.
x Plug the AC adaptor in a wall outlet socket near the equipment for easy
access/removal of the AC adaptor. Take care that the power cord does
not cause a trip hazard.
Please also use the other documentation supplied with the various parts of
your telephone system.

FCC information
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or
more of the following measures:
x Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

x Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
x Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
x Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Modifications not expressly approved by NEC could void the user's authority
to operate the equipment.
Privacy of communications may not be ensured when using this equipment.

Operation of this equipment is subject to the following two conditions: (1)
This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate
using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the
transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to
other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the
equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that
necessary for successful communication.
Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Signals
This wireless telephone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and
manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio
frequency (RF) energy set the Ministry of Health (Canada), Safety Code 6.
These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted
levels of RF energy for the general population. The guidelines are based on
