Your Radioshack Baja Screamer is a
4—wheelin' stunt machinel Built to 1/12
scale, it can reach speeds of up to 720
feet per minute. The vehicle‘s precise
steering gives you great control so you
can go almost anywhere and perform
cool stunts!
Your Baja Screamer comes in two fre-
quencies (27 MHz and 49 MHz), so
you and your Friends can drive togeth-
er. Check the box to see which fre-
quency you have.

Your qua Screamer might cause TV
or radio interference even when it is
operating properly. To determine
whether your qua Screamer is caus—
ing the interference, turn off your
Baja Screamer. If the interference
goes away your BaJa Screamer is
causing it. Try to eliminate the inter-
ference by:
- moving your Baja Screamer away
from the receiver
- contacting your local Radioshack
store for help
If you Cannot eliminate the interfer-
ence, the FCC requiru that you stop
using your Bald Screamer.

in The direcTion of The arrow and lifT iT

3. PuT The baTTery in The comparTmenT as
indicaTed by The polariTy symbols (+
and -) marked inside.
4. Replace The cover and snap iT shuT.
When The TransmiTTer‘s range decreases,
replace iTs baTTery.
In The Bqla Screamer
You need one 9.6-volT rechargeable haTTery
pack To power The moTor. Before you use
The bafl'ery pack, you must charge iT using a
baTTery charger (neither supplied, available
a'T your local Radiashack stare). Follow The
charger’s direcTions To charge The baTTery
pack.
1. Slide OFFIONISDUND on under The lefi‘
front fender To OFF.
2. Press The Tab on The battery camparT-
menT cover and slide off The cover in
The direcTion of The arrow.
3. ATTach The baTrery pack's cannecTor To
The vehicle's inaTching connecTar. Do
noT farce Them! They fiT TogeTher only
one way.
4. Place The connecTors in The groove on
The side of The comporTmenT. Then
place The baTTer-y pack in The camparT-
merrr.
5. Close The cover and snap iT shirt,
When The vehicle‘s Turns geT wider, change
The baTTery pack or recharge iT according
To The baTTery charger's insTrucTions.
CauTions:
~ Use only The recommended baTTery
pack and charger.
- Do noT charge or recharge The baTTer-y
pack while iT is in The vehicle.

. Fully mend the transmitter's antenna.
Hold the transmitter with the antenna
straight up, as high as possible.
Slide the transmitters OFF/ON switch
to on.
Slide OFF/ONISOUND ON on the vehicle
to UN to drive without sound effects,
or to SOUND ON ta drive with sound
effects.
Use the transmitters control levers to
drive and steer the Baja Screamer.
Left Control Lever
- Push forward to move forward.
- Push all the way forward for maxi-
mum speed.
- Pull backward to move back.
- Pull all the way back for maximum
speed in reverse,
~ While pushing forward, pull quickly
backward to make the brake sound
(with the UFFIDNISOUND ON switch
set to SOUND ON).
Right Control Lever
- Push left to turn left.
- Push right to turn right.
- Release to go straight.
When you finish driving the Boja
Screamer, slide OFF/ONISDUND ON an
the vehicle and OFF/ON an the trans-
mitter to OFF.
Cautions:

Rockin' Tilt — Rock the Screamer from
side to side as it mavs forward or
backward by moving the right control lever
rapidly from right to left.
The Big Wheelie —Fap big wheelis by
driving backward, then quickly moving
forward.
Super Spins -— Pap a wheelie. Then quickly
move the right central lever to the right or
left ta make the Screamer spin You hear a
spinning sound when DFFIONISOUND UN is
set to SOUND ON.
HELPFUL HI M5
- Do not drive the vehicle in puddles, on a
wet floor, on sand, or in mud, rain, or
snow. These can damage it.
- Running your vehicle continuously for
long periods generates high heat levels.
Heat causes wear and tear on the
motor. To help keep heat levels down,
when your vehicle‘s battery pack dies,
let the vehicle cool at least 10 minutes
before installing a newly charged bat-
tery pack.
~ If you set OFFIONISOUNB all to ON and
keep the left control lever in one posi-
tion for 30 seconds the transmitter ,
automatically shuts off to prolong bat- ~'r
tery life. If this happens move the
left control lever to another position to
continue driving.
~ If someone uses a CB nearby, it might
interfere with control of the vehicle.
If this happens, move the vehicle and
the transmitter away from the CB.
' You cannot operate your vehicle near
devices with transmitters that use the
same frequency as your vehicle (27 or
49 MHz). Check the box to see which
frequency you have.

transmitters range. Obstructions such
