Mini Transbot
What‘s cool! Your RadioShack Mini Transbot have a special transforming
stunt, buggy transform to a mini robot ! The Mini Transbot moves forward is a
buggy , and automatic transform to a robot reverse spins . The Mini Transbot
comes in two frequencies (27 MHz & 49 MHz) so you can operate with a friend.
Check your Mini Transbot box to see which frequency the buggy uses.
NOTE: You need 2 AA alkaline batteries (not supplied) to power the Mini Transbot
and one 9V battery (not supplied) for the transmitter. For the best performance and
longest playing life, we recommend RadioShaok alkaline batteries.
This vehicle is not recommended for children under the age of 4 years. Please read all
of the instructions before operating this vehicle.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
WARNING: Dispose of batteries promptly and properly; do not bury or burn them‘
Cautions:
*Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
*Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline,
or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
*Never leave dead or weak batteries in the Mini Transbot or the transmitter.
‘If you will not be using the Mini Transbot for a week or more, remove the
batteries from both the transmitter and the buggy. Batteries can leak chemicals that
can damage electronic parts.
In the Transmitter
The transmitter requires one 9-volt battery (not supplied). For the best performance
and longest life, we recommend a RadioShack alkaline battery‘
1. Press and slide the battery compartment
cover ofi” the transmitter.
2. Place a battery in the compartment
according to the polarity symbols (+and-)
marked inside.
3. Slide the cover back into place. Be sure it snaps shut.
When the transmitter's range decreases, replace its battery.
In the Mini Transbot
You need two AA batteries (not supplied) to power your Mini Transbot.
For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline
batteries.
1. Slide ON/OFF switch on the back of the
Mini Transbot to OFF.
2. Turn the battery compartment cover's
latch counterclockwise until it stops,
then grasp the ribs on the cover and lifi
the cover up to remove it.
3. Install the batteries in the compartment
as indicated by the polarity symbols
(+and-) marked inside.
4. Replace the cover, and then tum the
latch clockwise until it stops to secure it.
If the Mini Transbot moves slowly or not at all, replace the Mini Transbot's batteries.
DRIVNG THE MINI TRANSBOT
Warning: Never play with the Mini Transbot in the street.
1. Slide ON/OFF switch on the rear side of the Mini Transbot to ON.
1. The Mini Transbot's transmitter has two control buttons, Hold down the right
button to transform the robot to car and then the car moves forward in a straight
line. Hold down the lefi button to transform the car to robot and then the robot
spins in a circle. The Mini Transbot stops when you release the button.
2. When you finish driving the Mini Transbot, slide ON/OFF switch to OFF.
HELPFUL HINTS
Follow these hints to get the most enjoyment from the Mini Transbot.
The Mini Transbot running on flat wooden or cement floor will have better
perfonnanoe.
If the Mini Transbot‘s motor runs but the Mini Transbot does not respond to the
transmitter, move the transmitter closer to the Mini Transbot and try again.
Running your Mini Transbot continuously for long periods cause wear and tear
on the motor. To keep heat levels down, when your Mini Transbot 's batteries run
down1 let the Mini Transbot cool at least 10 minutes before installing new batteries.
If the Mini Transbot moves slowly and you have installed fresh batteries, check
the Mini Transbot mechanism and remove any lint, thread, hair, or dust you see.
If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with control of the Mini Transbot.
If this happens, move the Mini Transbot and its transmitter away from the CB.
You cannot operate your Mini Transbot near devices with transmitters that use
the same frequency (27 or 49 MHZ), Check the Mini Transbot 's box to see which
frequency of Mini Transbot you use.
CARE
The following suggestions will help you care for your Mini Transbot so you can enjoy
it for years.
0 Do not expose the Mini Transbot or its transmitter to temperature extremes, and
do not store them in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
0 Wipe the Mini Transbot and transmitter with a damp cloth occasionally to keep
them looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean them.
0 Do not drive the Mini Transbot through puddles or mud, on a wet floor, or in
sand, rain, or snow. These can damage it.
0 Do not leave the Mini Transbot or its transmitter outside overnight. Night
dampness can damage their electronic circuits.
- To protect the Mini Transbot's mechanisms from lint and hair, do not drive the
Mini Transbot on carpet.
THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW
Your Mini Transbot or its transmitter might cause TV or radio interference even when
it is operating properly. To determine whether your Mini Transbot or transmitter is
causing the interference, release the transmitter‘s control buttons and turn off your
Mini Transbot. If the interference goes away, your Mini Transbot or transmitter is
causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:
‘Moving your Mini Transbot and its transmitter away from the TV or radio
*Contacting you local RadioShack store for help
If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using your
Mini Transbot and transmitter.
Changes or modifications to this product not expressly approved by RadioShack, or
operation of this product in any way other than as detailed by the owner‘s manual,
could void your authority to operate this product
Limited Ninety-Day Warranty
RadioShack warrants this product against manufacturing defects in material and
workmanship under normal use for ninety (90) days fi-om the date of purchase from
RadioShack company—owned stores and authorized RadioShack franchisees and
dealers. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, RadioShack MAKES NO EXPRESS
WARRANTIES AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE
LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN LIMITED
WARRANTIES CONTAINED HEREIN. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN,
RadioShack SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY TO
CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY
LIABILITY, LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY
USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY
BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF TIME, DATA,
PROPERTY, REVENUE, OR PROFIT OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF RadioShack HAS
BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some states do not allow the limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the
exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or
exclusions may not apply to you.
In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the
RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store.
RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect
by product repair without charge for parts and labor; (b) replace the product with one
of the same or similar design; or (c) refimd the purchase price. All replaced parts and
products, and products, on which a refund is made, become the property of
RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the
performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for
repair or replacement of the product made afier the expiration of the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts
of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow
instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other
incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a
RadioShack Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries;
(d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or (I) costs of
product removal, installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights,
which vary, from state to state.
