Your Reef Skimmer or transmitter might cause TV or radio
interference even when they are operating propely,
To determine whether your Reef Skimer and transmitter are causing
the interference, turn them off, If the interference goes away, your Reef Skimmer or
transmitter are causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:
* moving your Reef Skimmer and transmitter away from the TV or radio
* contacting your local Radio Shack store for help i
If you cannot eliminate the interference. the FCC require that you stop using your Ree' l
transmitter.

PREPARATION
INSTALLING BATTERIES
CAUTIONS
' Use only a fresh battery of the required size and recommended type.
- If you do not plan to use the boat for a week or more. remove the battery
from the transmitter and the batteries from the boat.
Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
Never leave dead or weak batteries in the transmitter or the boat.
Dispose of batteries and the battery promptly and properly:
do not bury or burn them.
ATTACHING THE TRANSMITTER'S ANTENNA
Thread the antenna into the transmitter‘s antenna connector.
Make sure the connection is tight.
IN THE TRANSMITTER
You need one 9~vc|t battery to power the transmitter.
For the best performance and longest life, we recommend a RadloSheck alkaline battery.
1. Slide the transmitter‘ s OFF/ON switch to OFF.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of
the arrow marked on it and lift it off.
3. Put the battery in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbo|s(+and-)
marked inside.
4. Replace the cover and snap it shut..
5 Slide the transmitter” s OFF/ON switch to ON
When the transmitter’ 5 range decreases. replace its battery,

INSTALLING THE ANTENNA TUBE
The antenna tube holds up the boat's antenna wire for the best reception and
range. Route the wire' 5 loose end through the tube. Then push the tube securely
into the boat' 5 antenna tube holder,
IN THE BOAT
You need 9, 6V battery pack to power the motor.
I. Turn the latch on the sheet, then take off the sheet.
2. Turn the latch on the battery compartment cover, then open the cover.
3,.Attached the battery pack to the boat's matching connector.
Do not force them together. They only fit one way.
4. Replace the battery cover and turn the latch.
Replace the sheet and turn the latch.

Note
As the boat loses power. its turns become wider. When this happens.
change the batteries.
If you want to drive your Reef Skimmer for long periods of time. we suggest that you pl
an extra batteries.
Cautions
Use only the recommended batteries.
Driving the Boat
Warnings:
This boat can reach high speeds than most radio—control led boats. Be careful when you I
boat to avoide high impact collisions with people and ohects.
Do not use your boat in strong currents, in salt water. or in any body of water with I.
Never touch the propeller while it is spinning, and never put your fingers near the pr.

Never play with your boat in strong winds.

Always turn on the transmitter first. then the boast, and turn off the boat first
them the transmitter. Otherwaise, your boat might pick up other radio waves and start
whiele the transmitter is OFF. Should this happed, immidiately turn on the transmitter
the boat under your control.
Do not let the boat run aground. Keep the boat away from grass growing in the water El
other debris that could cause propeller damage. These items can jam the boat's propel
the boat away From the shore.
When the batteries begin to lose power the boat slows down, To be sure the boat can I
shore, guide it in as soon as you notice it slowing down.
When you finished playing. boat and transmitter on/off SWl'tcl'l to OFF
Remove all batteries from the boat and transmitter. Then turn over and lean the boats
remove the drain cap from the drain hole. empty any water from the hull and dry the be
thoroughtly before you store it.
Do not leave your boat in the water when you finish playing, Water might seep into thi
damage electronic parts.
when you are not playing with the boat. place it on the supplied stand to protect the
from damage.

ADJUSTING THE RUDDER ALIGNMENT
CARE
If the boat does not drive in a straight line when you release the right control lever
adjust the rudder alignment control of the back of the sheet. Rotate the control towa
is pulling to the right. Rotate the control toward R if the car is pulling to the Ief‘
Never play with your boat in salt water: doing so might rust its parts.
Do not expose the boat to temperature extremes.
Wipe the boat clean with a dry towel after playing.

Your boat and transmitter might cause TV or radio interference even
