Sensor is designed fdr use with (he Radioshack 1n-
doorlOutdoor Thermometer system (Cat. No. 63-
1026). Inslallah'on is easy, with no wires to connect.
You can mounl the remote sensor outdoors or in an-
other room (away trorn the system's main unit). or
use its supplied wire stand {or easy viewing on a table
or desktop.

INSTALLING BATTERIES
You need fwd AA batteries (not spplied) to power
the remote sensor, For [he longed life, we recom-
mend alkalins batteries (availablet your local Ha~
dioShack store).
Note: If you expect to use the rem sensor in tem-
psralures below -4‘ F (—20' C}, werscommend you
use lithium batteries (such as HafiShack Cat. No.
23-664)

Caution .
- Use onlyjreeh batteries of the required size and
recommended type.
~ Do not mix old and new batteries, different types
ol batteria (standard, alkaline. or rechargeable),
or rechargeable batteries of different capacltles.
Follow these steps to install batteries.
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws
in the battery compartment cover, then Hit the
a cover to remove it.
2. Set CHANNEL and "c/‘F inside the companment
to the desired settings. (See “Changing the Dis»
play Channel‘ on Page to and “Changing the
Degree Format" on Page 11.)
3. Place two AA batteries in the compartment
according to the polarity symbols (+ and -)
marked inside.
4. Use a pointed object (such as a straightened
paper clip) to press RESET and initialize the sen
sor's transmitter.
5. Replace the cover and reinsert and tighten the
screws,

MOUNTING
You can place the remote sensor one flat surface, or
mount it on the wall using screws (mt supplied) and
the supplied bracket.
Selecting a Location
Choose a locatlon for the remote sensor that is within
60—90 feet (20-80 meters) at the min unit. The re-
mote sensor can be placed either irlioors or out.

Using the Stand
To set lhe remote sensor on a flat surlace. insert the
ends of the supplied wirs siand lnln lhe holes on the
back of the remote sensor.

Changing the Degree Format
To change the aegree format displayed on the remote
sensar. set ‘c fF‘inside the remote sensors battery
compartment to the desired setting.

Resetting the System
It the remote sensor stops operating properly, use a
pointed object (such as a straightened paper clip) to
press RESET. This resets the displayed temperature
and reinitializes the sensors transmitter.
