LCD Jumbo Display Dual Timer/Clock OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment. Your RadioShack LCD Jumbo Display Dual Timer/Clock is a precise, dual-purpose timepiece. Both timers can count hours, minutes and seconds, up or down, from a specified time. The metal stand lets you set the timer/ clock on a desk or table, and the clip and magnet let you attach it almost anywhere. Cautions: • Keep button-cell batteries away from children. Swallowing a button-cell battery can be fatal. • Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them. Countup Timer — counts up to 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Notes: Countdown Timer — counts down from 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. • If the timer/clock does not work when you install the battery, remove and reinstall it. Minute and Second Increments — let you count even small amounts of time. Alarm — alerts you when the countdown time elapses. INSTALLING THE BATTERY Your must install the supplied LR44 buttoncell battery before using your timer/clock. 1. Insert a coin into the groove on the battery compartment cover, turn the coin counterclockwise, and remove the cover. 2. Insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing up. The timer/clock beeps. 3. Replace the cover. • When the display dims or the alarm weakens, replace the battery. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend using a RadioShack alkaline battery. SETTING THE CLOCK 1. Repeatedly press MODE until CLOCK appears in the upper left corner. COUNTING DOWN mat. PM appears for PM hours when the 12-hour format is selected. You can use the two countdown timers for activities that require a predetermined amount of time, such as baking a cake or playing a game. The timers count down in 1-second increments. 3. Repeatedly press (or hold down) HOUR until the correct hour appears. 4. Repeatedly press (or hold down) MINUTE until the correct minute appears. Note: The maximum countdown time is 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. 5. Repeatedly press (or hold down) SECOND until the correct second appears. 1. While CLOCK appears, press MODE twice. TIMER 1 and 0:00 00 appear. Note: When you hold down MINUTE or SECOND, the setting advances in increments of 10. Notes: 6. Press MODE or wait until the display stops flashing. The clock is now set. • To use TIMER 2, press MODE three times. TIMER 2 appears. • To use both timers, press MODE four times. TIMER 1 and TIMER 2 appear. Then press TIMER 1 or TIMER 2 to set each timer. COUNTING UP Each timer can count up to 29 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Then they reset and begin counting from 0:00 00 again. You can use the timers separately or together. 2. Repeatedly press (or hold down) HOUR until the desired hour appears. 1. While CLOCK appears, press MODE. COUNT UP1, COUNT UP2, and their timers appear. 3. Repeatedly press (or hold down) MINUTE until the desired minute appears. Note: If either timer does not show 0:00 00, press CLEAR to reset both timers. 4. Repeatedly press (or hold down) SECOND until the desired second appears. 2. Press TIMER 1 (for COUNT UP1) or TIMER 2 (for COUNT UP 2) to start counting up. Note: When you hold down HOUR, or SECOND, the setting advances in increments of 10. Note: You can start COUNT UP1 and COUNT UP2 at the same time by pressing TIMER 1 and TIMER 2 together. 5. Press TIMER 1 or TIMER 2 to start counting down. MINUTE, Notes: 3. Press TIMER 1 or TIMER 2 to stop counting up. Press again to continue counting up. • Both timers can be run at the same time. • To pause the countdown before the timer reaches 0:00 00, press TIMER 1 or TIMER 2. To resume the countdown, press the same button again. 4. When both timers have stopped, press CLEAR to reset them to 0:00 00. 2 Using the Stand • To stop the countdown before the timer reaches 0:00 00, press TIMER 1 or TIMER 2, then press CLEAR. The timer resets to 0:00 00. 1. Press down the upper end of the clip. When the timer reaches 0:00 00, the alarm sounds for 1 minute and TIMES UP flashes above the active timer. Then, the timer counts up in 1-second increments. Press any button to silence the alarm. Clip Magnet 2. Use a pencil tip to pull the small stand out until it fits onto the clip. 3. Set the timer on a table or desk. When the alarm stops, TIMES UP continues to flash and the timer continues to count up. To stop the count, press the active timer’s button. The timer resets to 0:00 00. Stand CARE Keep the timer/clock dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the timer/clock only in normal temperature environments. Handle the timer/clock carefully; do not drop it. Keep the timer/clock away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new. USING THE CLOCK AND TIMERS You can view the clock and use the timers at the same time. 1. After you set the count up or countdown timers, press MODE until CLOCK appears in the upper left corner. The active timer(s) flash. Modifying or tampering with the timer/clock’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your timer/ clock is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance. 2. Repeatedly press MODE to switch between viewing the clock and the timers. MOUNTING THE TIMER/ CLOCK SPECIFICATIONS The magnet on the back of the timer/clock attaches to any metal surface, such as a refrigerator, oven or file cabinet. Power Source ..........
