Convenience ➤Auto Clock Set2 The Auto Clock Set circuitry reads the XDS broadcast signal2 containing time of day and date information, automatically setting the clock during initial setup as well as after most power interruptions. 1 ➤ VCR Plus+1 Programming with End-Time Adjustment The VCR Plus+1 System simplifies VCR programming by reducing programming entries. Program3 the VCR by entering PlusCode1 programming numbers which can be found in most newspapers and TV listing magazines, such as TV Guide.4 Adjust the endtime, so if the program runs long, you won’t miss a minute. ➤ShowSaver™ Memory Protection Retains timer programs in permanent memory, indefinitely, so you’ll never have to worry about losing your programs due to an extended power outage. • Pro-Tect Plus™ (Child Lock) Guards pre-programmed VCRs to help avoid frustrating recording accidents or interruptions from children. Conveniently controlled with the press of a button. • EnergySaver Saves energy by automatically turning off the VCR when it is not being used. Also helps prevent missing timer recordings due to the VCR being left on. • Auto Power On/Play/Rewind/Shutoff Simply inserting a cassette in the VCR turns it on (Auto Power On). When a prerecorded cassette is inserted in the VCR, it automatically starts playing (Auto Play). When the end of the tape is reached, Auto Rewind automatically rewinds the tape. If the VCR is turned off during rewind, it will continue rewinding until end of tape is reached, then shut off. • 181-Channel Tuning Capability5 Selects VHF/UHF broadcast channels, and up to 125 cable channels. • 8-Event/1-Year Programmable Timer The built-in timer memory can be preset up to one year in advance to record as many as eight different programs automatically. Record options include one-time, daily, weekdays and weekly events. • Auto Channel Search with Auto Cable/Antenna Switch Automatically selects cable or antenna tuning and stores available off-air or unscrambled cable channels in memory. • VHS Index Search System Simplifies locating the start of recorded programs by placing an electronic marker at the beginning of each new recording.
