The default setting is OFF. When scan turns on. rotate the channel-selecting knob to
channel 15. the indicator light turns green, the radio will seen eutometimlly from channel
1 to 15. When there is signal in the scanning channel, it flops in the channel for talk.
You can set It through the menu 'Scen Intorrnatlon'I of the "Optional Features“ In the
software for TH-FB.
1) Sean mode: ‘Carrier10FF" can he selechd. Ii selecting air. when it rotates to channel
16, it is channel mode. It selecting terrier", when it rotates to channel 16, it is scan
mode.
2) Receive recovery time (see): the time inmrvals to recover scanning alter the end of
receive. trom 0.5 to 64.5 seconds. or Scan Pause can be selected. (The default setting
is 43)
3) Transmission recovery time (see): the time Intervals to recover scanning am the
end of transmission. from 0.6 to 54 5 seconds or Scan Pause can be selected. (The
deteult setting is 3.58)
Squelch function
The squelch level will deterrnlne the signal strength to open the speaker of the radio. If the
squelch level is lower, the background noise of opening the radios speaker will be higher.
and the corresponding communication range will be further, but the anti-interference
cepadty will he washer.
The default setting at squelch level is 4, you can adjust it through the menu 'Squelch Level“
otthe “Optional Features" in the sottware for TH-FG. Level D to 9 can be selected. Dis the
lowest level.
Time out timer (TOT)
The purpose of TOT ie to prevent any radio from talking in one channel tore long time,
and to prevent the transceiver trom being damaged beceuse oi continuous transmission.
lithe transmitting time exceeds the TOT pre-eet time, the radio will sound 'Du". Release
the PTI’ switch to stop the I'Du" tone. PM the P'I'I' switch again to rwume transmission.
The default setting oi TOT Is 180 seconds. You can edit the function through the menu
“Radiate ‘I'lme Out Tuner (s)" of the “Optional Features" in the software, 5 minutes in
maximum.
CTCSSIDCS
CTCSS and DOS is the sub-audio signaling, to prevent the radio from receiving unwanted
signal in the same drannel.
When the arose/Dos is set. then witirin the oommuniwtion range, you can only receive
elgnels trom the same channel with the same CTCSSIDCS setting. When the CTCSSIDCS
is not set, you will out all the signal from the same channel within the mmmunimtion range.
You can set the CTCSSIDCS through the menu 'QTIDQT ENC" or 'QTIDQT DEC'I of the
"channel Setting" in the soitware.
Empty channel prompt
When the current channel is empty. a "Du' tone will sound continuously to alert you. and
the channel ran not be used,
Power protection function
When the radio is in norrrrel use or maintenance, the transmission will be prohibited it the
working voltage Is beyond the normal supplying voltage. Lower than EV or hIgherthen QV,
the transmission will he pmtrlbited
Wire clone function
1) Please open this function vla software or by the local dealer first.
2) Connect the main radlo (cloning radio) and the sub-radio (radio being cloned) with a
cloning wire. and turn on the sub-radio.
3) Press and hold the [bottom key] of the main radio to power on, about 3 seconds later,
the Indlmtof light turm red, release the [bottom key], the Indicator lbht ilanhee red and
green, the main radio Ia ready for wire-clone.
4) Press the [bottom key] of the main radio again; the Indicator 01 main radio will hllnk red,
while the sub-radio will blink green When the red indimtor of main radio and the green
indimtor oi the sub-radio atop, the wire done is finished.
5) Change a new sub-radio, oonnectwilh the main radio well, press the [bottom key] ofthe
main radio to continue cloning,
Note: If the red indicator light of main radio and green indicator light oi sub-radio blink at the
some time, the wine clone tails.
