Turn on the power Before playing turn the power on by pressing the POWER switch, the panel LED will light. POWER MULTI DISPLAY ] “th l 2. Set the Volume Initially set the MASTER VOLUME about halfway between the l'MIN" and I'MAX" settings. You can adjust the volume to accommodate you play. 3. Using Headphone Two sets ofstandard stereo headphones can be plugged in here for private practice or late-night playing. The internal speaker system is automatically shut ot‘t‘when a pair ofheadphones is plugged into PHONESjacks. maNEst 4. Using External Sound System The Line Out jack can be used to deliver the output of the piano to a keyboard amplifier, stereo sound system, mixing console or tape recorder. seveo Svrcm — DIGITAL PIANO - 5. Using USB-MIDI / USB AUDIO Jack This product allows the transfer ofMIDI information over USB to a computer. Complicated as it sounds, it's pretty simple. Because your piano is USB Class Compliant, there is no need to install a driver to enable it to work with OSX, Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Just plug it in and the OS will do the rest. The piano will work with all standard MIDI based computer software. USB AUDIO interface is a digital audio interface. By USB cable, you can digitally transfer intact audio signals ofPC to this instrument, and enjoy it on this instrument or use it for accompanywhen you play this instmment; likewise, you can transfer intact audio signals ofthe instrument to PC to record and edit music. USB 6. Using MIDI IN/MIDI OUT Jack MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a world-standard communication interface which allows electronic musical instruments to communicate with each other by sending and receiving compatible notc, program change and other types of MIDI data. Voices The piano has 16 built-in voices which include several pianos as well as other instruments These digitally-sampled musical instrument sounds may be selected one at a time, layered to produce two voices at once, or assigned to the left or right hands. To select a voice (Main voice), press the appropriate Voice Select button on the right side of the front panel. Demo Play There are 16 demo songs pre-recorded in the piano. Each demo song will demonstrate a different voice. Here's how you can select and play the demo songs. Press the [SONG] button, then press the desired Voice Select button, The [SONG] and voice buttons will flash and the LED will display:DEN . Split Mode Press [SPLIT] button to enter split mode, your keyboard will be divided into two sections, which means different voices can be played with the left and right hands at the same time. a. Reverb Effect The Reverb effect may he applied to each voice individually and will be retained even when the power is turned off, To apply reverh, select the desired voice and press [REVERE] button repeatedly. The Reverb indicator will light and the effect will be heard when the piano is played. REV Press [REVERE] button repeatedly, when the Reverb indicator is unlighted, the Reverb effect is off, — DIGITALPIANO - To adjust the amount (depth) of the reverb effect, hold the [REVERE] button down and press the [TEMPO >] buttons to adjust the desired amount(0-127), o o 0 [gal 14. Chorus Effect The Chorus effect may be applied to each voice individually and will be retained even when the power is turned off. This effect simulates the same tone coming from multiple sources, like several singers or instruments singing or playing the same note, To apply the Chorus Effect, select the desired voice and press [CHORUS] button. The button will light and the effect will be heard when the piano is played CHO To adjust the amount (depth) of the Chorus effect, hold the [CHORUS] button down and press the [TEMPO >] buttons to adjust the desired amount(0-127), :§:§@ — DIGITAL PIANO - 15. Touch Sensitivity Press [TOUCH] button, you can select four type of touch sensitivity styles to accommodate your play and the corresponding indicator will light. HARD style: require more strength to produce maximal sound. NORMAL style: require standard strength to produce maximal sound. SOFT style: require less strength to produce maximal sound. FIXED style: When touch is off, the same volume is produced no matter how strongly or softly you play the keyboard. When touch is off and you can press [TOUCH] button for few seconds, and then you can adjust fixtouch value by [TEMPO >] buttons. The value range is 0-127. The default is 100. «J i) /\ A ‘_ \ T in n C ”J u 16. Transpose The Transposc function Will raise or lower the pitch of the keyboard in semitone increments from -12 to +12. To turn Transpose on, press the [TRANSPOSE] button. The LED will display: 0. Now press the [TEMPO >] to select the desired transpose value. [J TRANS L. When this function is on, you can select beat type by holding the [METRONOME] button until the beat type will appear on the LED, then using the [TEMPO >] buttons to set its sows METRO Time signtures include :2/Ztime, 2/4time, 3/4time, 4/4time, 5/4time, 6/8time, 7/8time. 9/81ime, l2/81ime. Press [TEMPO >] button, you can adjust the speed from 20 to 280b/s4 Press these two buttons at the same time, the speed will return to lZOb/s. 18.Song Recording The Song Recorder built into the piano can record two individual tracks, allowing you to record one part and then record a second, complementary part while the first part is being played back. — DIGITAL PIANO - a.T0 Record a Track Press the [SONG] button and the [METRONOME] button simultaneously to enter Record Wait Mode. The buttons indicator will light, and the Metronome will begin playing at the currently selected tempo.The LED display will show: REC. for one second, after which it will show: TRl. . RECORD . ”:‘ i- 5&3; ll .- E L It The piano is now in Record Wait Mode. To start recording, begin playing the keyboard. Recording starts automatically as soon as you start playing. As mentioned at the beginning of this section, you can record to two independent tracks within each song you record, This means that you can make a recording, and alter you are done, play back what you recorded while recording a complementary part on a second track. The instrument automates some of the track selections to make the Song Recorder more intuitive1When you start recording, if data has already been recorded on track 1, the LED display will show: Tr2, and the Song Recorder will record on this track.During recording, any notes already recorded on the other track will be played back. If you are recording on track 2, anything previously recorded on track 1 will be played back for you.If tracks 1 and 2 both contain data, this piano will automatically choose to record to the track that was NOT last recorded to. (Ifyour last recording was on track 1, track 2 will be selected; ifyour last recording Was on track 2, track 1 will be selected.)
