Introduction The Proximity Keypac enables the user to easily arm/disarm the security system or to activate/deactivate home a pliances and utilities, such as heating & lights, by using a Proximity Tag. Proximity Tag Programming: Proximity Tag programming is done from the user menu, The user can define or delete only his own tag whereas the Grand Master can program any of the users’ tags, 6» NOTE: Each Proximity Tag can be assigned to one user only. Accessing the Proximity Tag Menu 1. Press [*] to User Function mode and select 5] for ACCESS CODE 2. The following message will be displayed: INSERT CODE : 3, Enter your security code followed by [#]. 4, The first option ofthe Aeeess Code menu is displayed. Use the arrows to select 5) PROX TAG, ACCESS CODE: 5) PROX TAG Press [$1] to enter into the Proximity Tag menu, which has 3 options: - 1) (RE) WRITE TAGS - 2) DELETE BY USER - 3) DELETE BY TAG 1. (RE) WRITE TAGS: Use this option to add a new Proximity Tagr (A) From the Proximity Tag menu select [1] (RE)WRITE TAG The following option will appear: Star signs ****, in place of digits, indicates that a user has already been assigned to a specific Proximity Tag. (B) Select a user and press [74], The following message will appear: USER XX: APPROACH TAG T0 UNIT You have l0 seconds to approach the Proximity Tag at a distance of} — 7 cm from the keypad’s keys. The keypad will automatically read the tag and save it into the system’s memory. A long confirmation beep will sound once the tag’s recording has been successfully done. e_ You need to record the tag only once in any one ofthe Proximity Keypads in the system. Delete By User Use this option to delete a tag for which the user is known. (A) Irom the Proximity Tag menu select 2) DELBY USER Example: The following display appears: SELECT USER: 00) “'"" MASTER (B) Select a user and press [41]. The following message will appear: ***DELETE*** ARE YOU SURE? N Select [Y] or [N] by using [Stay] key followed by [#]. lf [Y] was selected a confirmation display will appear: USER XX : TAG DELETED 3. Delete By Tag: Use this option to delete a tag for which the user is NOT known. (A) From the Proximity Tag menu select 3) DELBY TAG: The following display appears: APPROACH TAG T0 UNIT (B) You have 10 seconds to approach the Proximity Tag at a distance of} — 7 cm from the keypad’s keys. Ifthe tag was successfully deleted the following display Wil appear: USER TAG XX DELETED lfthe tag is not recognized the following display will appear: TAG NOT DEFINED IN MEMORY Using the Proximity Tag: Hold the Proximity Tag close to the keypad’s keys at a distance of ap aroximatcly 3-7 cm. Based on the user’s definition: The partition/s* assigned to you will Arm/Disarrn (based on t1e current status of the system) 5» NOTE (A) If the user is assigned to l partition only, then the partition wi 1 arm or disarm automatically, (B) If the user is assigned to more then one partition", use the arrows (or number) on the keypad to choose the requested partition/s and press [#]. *Ask your installer for the number of partitions that are assigned to you.
