Bosch Smart Home 360°-Indoor Camera Instruction Manual Start making your home smart! Set up your Indoor Camera in just three steps You need the Bosch Smart Cameras App to install and configure your Bosch Smart Home 360°-Indoor Camera as well as to operate it. Please also make sure that you have an internet connection as well as a WLAN router with a free LAN port. ▶ Start the Bosch Bosch Smart Cameras App Make sure that you download the Bosch Smart Cameras App first! ▶ Place the 360°Indoor Camera and power it up ▶ Use the Bosch Smart Cameras App to connect and configure your 360° Indoor Camera Dear customer, Congratulations with the purchase of your Bosch Smart Home 360°-Indoor Camera. Any other use is considered unintended use. We will not assume liability for any resulting damage. 11 2.0 IN THE BOX Indoor Camera Power cable 3 country specific adapters An 8 GB SD card is pre-installed but can be exchanged (video on the card will be lost in case of exchange). 12 13 3.0 WARNING NOTICES 3.1 Safety message explanation Caution! Laws in your country may restrict the observation of areas outside your private property. Please check your local legislation. To respect privacy, please avoid placing your Indoor Camera to record public space including the street as well as private property of your neighbors. We advise to inform relatives, visitors and home employees that a Indoor Camera is installed and might be in operation. Security By using the Bosch Indoor Camera you agree not to rely on the device and its services for life safety or critical purposes. Mobile notiications are provided for informational purposes only. Bosch Smart Home GmbH cannot be held liable for missing or incorrect notiications or event registrations. 14 15 3.3 Precautions Do not open the Indoor Camera. The Indoor Camera does not contain any user replaceable parts. If the Indoor Camera stops working please contact customer service via telephone 00800 843 762 78. Pleas adhere to manual instructions on intended use. Please only use the power supply which was delivered with the Indoor Camera. Please do not paint the Indoor Camera. Recommended replacement of Indoor Camera after 10 years. 16 17 4.0 INDICATORS AND CONTROL 4.1 Product overview Pos. Make sure you have installed a connection to the internet as well as Wi-i. Please have the Wi-i password available. Make sure your smart phone is connected to the Wi-i network you want to use for the camera. For Android Devices ▶ Open Google Play ▶ Search for “Bosch Smart Home” ▶ Select the “Bosch Smart Cameras App” ▶ Tap “Install” 5.1 Check the Wi-fi availability The Indoor Camera needs a stable and suiciently strong Wi-i connection. 3G/4G Für Apple iOS-Geräte ▶ Open the App Store ▶ Search for “Bosch Smart Home” ▶ Select the “Bosch Smart Cameras App” ▶ Tap “Install” Please choose the location where you like to position your Indoor Camera and check irst the strength of the Wi-i-signal at this location, using your smart phone. 20 The table below indicates if the Wi-i connection strength is suicient for use in combination with the Indoor Camera. 21 5.2 Indoor Camera installation When positioning your Indoor Camera, please note the following: ▶ Position the Indoor Camera on a lat, level surface ▶ Preferably the Indoor Camera observes the entrance of the room, you better avoid having the Indoor Camera looking at windows ▶ the cable should be fastened, so that it can’t make the Indoor Camera fall when touched accidentaly The Indoor Camera is not suitable for outdoor use. Please position the Indoor Camera in climate controlled indoor rooms only. Please position the Indoor Camera right up standing e.g. on a cupboard or table. 22 23 5.3 Power the Indoor Camera EU US “Click” UK 20 sec. Select the appropriate plug and attach the plug to the power adapter. 24 Connect the Indoor Camera via the network cable to the socket. The Indoor Camera is now powered and ready for use. The Indoor Camera will now boot and prepare itself for coniguration. When the Indoor Camera is ready to connect to the Wi-i the light ring blinks green. 25 5.4 Configuration of the Indoor Camera 3 sec. 20 sec. 20 sec. To conigure the Indoor Camera you need to make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-i network you want to connect the device to. Then please start the app and login with your Bosch account or register. 26 In the Bosch Smart Cameras App overview screen, please select “Add Camera”. Follow the steps indicated in the app and enter the Wi-i-password of the network you want to connect your camera to when asked. The app will now generate a QR code. Please show this QR code to the Indoor Camera from about 15 cm (0.5 feet). When the camera recognized the QR code, you will hear a beep and the light ring will be green for about 3 seconds. The camera will automatically reboot, indicated by the light ring being red. Thereafter it will automatically connect to the Wi-i and to the cloud service. Once the connection and con- iguration is completed the light ring is steady blue. The camera is now ready for use. Whenever it streams video the light ring will light up blue. 27 6.0 INDOOR CAMERA OPERATION 7.0 ERROR AND ERROR RESOLUTIONS Error The camera is operated and controlled via the Bosch Smart Cameras App. More details on all functionality and 28 option you can ind under “Service/FAQ” at www.bosch-smarthome.com Error indicator Measure – LED of Please check the power supply connection to your camera Generic boot error LED blinks red Power of your camera, wait 30 seconds and then power up again Connection to wi-i failed LED blinks alternating red and green Check the strength of the wi-i signal (on the camera and on your smartphone). Tap previous in the app, re-enter the wi-i password, create new QR code and show QR code to the camera Connection to cloud service failed LED blinks alternating red and blue Check the internet connection of your router. If OK, wait 30 minutes.
