ROCKY MOUNTAIN RADAR
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the PHANTOM-T radar/laser developed by Rocky Mountain Radar.
PHANTOM-T is the first and unique sophisticated radar and laser detector in the world which
has very good performance.
We are pleased to have you as a valued customer and hope you will be delighted with your
PHANTOM-T. This manual provides all the information you need putting the PHANTOM-T to work
for you.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

by Rocky Mountain Radar in writing, could void the user’s authority to operate this product.

LED Display
=============================================================================
1. Display shows : [P] [K] [Ka] [C] [2] [3] [4] [T]
[P] : Power
[K] : K Band Alert
[Ka] : Ka Band Alert
[C] : CITY Mode Display
[2][3][4] : Signal Strength LED
[T] : Scrambler Test LED
NOTE: NO X BAND DETECTION
2. LED Display when alerting
Laser -->All LEDs will flash together except for [T] LED(In City Mode, [CITY] will flash as well).
K band --> [K] LED on and [2] [3] [4] will be on one by one depending on the strength.
Ka band --> [Ka] LED on and [2] [3] [4] will be on one by one depending on the strength.
3. Signal Strength Level 1: [K] or [Ka] LED will flash
Signal Strength Level 2: Signal strength LED [2] will flash.
Signal Strength Level 3: Signal strength LED [2] and [3] will flash.
More than Level 4: Signal strength LED [2],[3],[4] will flash.
4. Alert beep will sound faster according to the strength of signal.

PREAMBLE
=============================================================================
1. Scrambler on status: Scrambler Test LED will be on and scrambler testing for one second.
Scrambler off status: Unit will give preamble alerts without scrambler testing.
2. After scrambler testing, it will give alert in the order of K band, Ka band and Laser.
-MUTE OFF and BRIGHT Mode will be applied during the preamble alert.
- Alert Tone and CITY Mode will stay the same
3. It will go back to the stand by status after preamble is done.
4. If any button is pressed during Preamble, it will immediately go back to the stand by status.

BUTTON OPERATION
=============================================================================
1. Press MUTE button to select [MUTE] or [AUTO MUTE].
MUTE ON: one beep
AUTO MUTE: two beeps
MUTE OFF: three beeps
NOTE: MUTE function will not operate on DARK mode.
2. Hold down MUTE button for 3 seconds to select [HIGH] or [LOW] tone alert. High tone will give 3
beeps and Low tone will give a long beep.
3. Press CITY button to select [HIGHWAY] or [CITY] mode. Highway mode confirms one beep and City
mode two beeps.
4. Press DIM button to adjust display brightness from BRIGHT-> DIM -> Dimmer -> DARK.
*BRIGHT: one beep, LED will brighten.
*DIM : two beep, LED will darken.
*Dimmer : one beep, LED will be darker
*DARK : two beeps, LED will be off.
5. Press TEST button to get into Test mode.
1) It will automatically change the settings to MUTE OFF, BRIGHT, SCRAMBLER ON
2) It will give test alert in the order of SCRAMBLER -> K -> Ka -> Laser .
3) After Test Alert is done, it will automatically go back to stand by status.
6. Hold down CITY button, and turn on the unit to select scrambler on/off.
SCRAMBLER ON: one beep, [T] LED will be on.
SCRAMBLER OFF: two beeps, [T] LED will be off.

TEST MODE
=============================================================================
1. Press Test button to get into Test mode.
2. It will automatically change the settings to MUTE OFF, BRIGHT, SCRAMBLER On, and give test alerts in
order of SCRMABLER -> K -> Ka -> Laser band.
3. After Test Alert is done, it will change to the stand by status.
4. If any button is pressed during Test Alert, it will go back to stand by status.

AUTO MUTE
=============================================================================
1. Mute On Î No alert beeps. Silence all beep alerts.
2. AUTO MUTE
z When Auto Mute is selected, the unit will give 4 times of beep alerts then keep mute for 2 minutes.
z Auto Mute will be cancelled when the unit detects new radar signals.
z Auto Mute will continue as long as there is the same radar signal.

MEMORY
=============================================================================
1. The unit will store settings for DIM Mode, Sound Tone, Mute Mode, CITY Mode and Scrambler On/Off.
2. It will automatically remember your settings when the unit is turned off.
3. Factory Settings Î Bright, High Tone, MUTE OFF, HIGHWAY, Scrambler On
LIMITED WARRANTY
The manufacturer warrants your PHANTOM-T against all defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one(1) year from the date of the original purchase, subject to
the following terms and conditions: The sole responsibility of the manufacturer under this
Warranty is limited to either repair or, at the option of the manufacturer, replacement of
the PHANTOM-T. There are no expressed or implied warranties, including those of
fitness for a particular purpose of merchantability, which extend beyond the face hereof.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitation may not apply to you.
