DC Input socket (Micro USB) Rechargeable battery: - This unit operates on an internal rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. - It can be recharged from any standard USB port (eg. PC USB port.) - It can be also recharged with the provided Micro-USB AC charger. (Note: AC Charger is NOT waterproof) - Please ensure your country’s AC-voltage is within the charger’s voltage range. - Insert the micro USB plug of the AC charger into the Micro USB Socket at the back of the unit. - Plug the AC charger into an AC wall outlet. (CAUTION: Never expose unit to water during charging) - The CHARGE indicator light will be ON while charging is in process. - Once the unit has been charged, it can simply be unplugged and taken anywhere to be used. - Total play time when fully charged is upto 10 hours, depending on the type of music played and the loudness level. NOTE: - DURING RADIO MODE, THE UNIT WILL NOT CHARGE, AS THIS CAUSES INTERFERENCE TO THE RADIO SIGNAL. - NEVER RECHARGE THE UNIT WHILE IT IS WET, MAY CAUSE FIRE OR DAMAGE DUE TO ELECTRIC SHOCK OR SHORT-CIRCUIT. ! IMPORTANT: PLEASE FULLY CHARGE THE UNIT BEFORE FIRST USE ! FOR BEST RESULTS, ALWAYS RECHARGE THE UNIT FULLY BEFORE USING IT. IF THE BATTERY IS FULLY DRAINED, PLEASE ALLOW IT TO RECHARGE FOR A FEW HOURS BEFORE USE. - THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY HAS A LIMITED LIFESPAN. ITS CAPACITY DECREASES GRADUALLY WITH THE FREQUENCY OF USE AND THE PASSAGE OF TIME. - THE LIFESPAN OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY VARIES ACCORDING TO HOW IT IS STORED, USAGE CONDITIONS AND USAGE ENVIRONMENT. E-3 SOUND CONTROL: - Use the VOLUME + (up) and - (down) keys to adjust loudness to the desired level. - On Bluetooth® and AUX modes, loudness can sometimes ALSO be adjusted using the volume controls of the externally connected device (eg. Tablet or Smartphone). It's advisable to set that to 90% (about 10% less than maximum) and then to use the volume controls on the boombox only. - If sound is distorted, reduce the volume level of the external device until it is normal. IMPORTANT: If there is NO sound, ensure the volume on both devices is not set to 0. - Sometimes there may be a slight clicking sound coming through the speakers when adjusting the volume control, especially when listening to the FM Radio. This is a normal condition, and temporary. - Use the BASS and TREBLE controls (+/-) to adjust to the LOW and HIGH frequencies to your taste. FUNCTION KEY Pressing the FUNCTION Key repeatedly will allow you to select one of the different source modes, as follows : AUX USB BT FM Bluetooth Radio MP3 player Input Jack Bluetooth® WIRELESS PLAYBACK (A2DP Audio Streaming) - This unit can wirelessly playback audio from any device with Bluetooth A2DP function. - The wireless range is approximately within 10m (30Ft.) - Simply pair your device (eg. Smartphone) to this unit to enjoy Wireless Audio Streaming. - In order to avoid interferences, please de-activate Wi-Fi on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) when playing music using Bluetooth®. How to pair your device to this unit: - Make sure Bluetooth is switch ON in your Device (Smartphone/ Tablet). - Switch on the boombox, and press “FUNCTION” key repeatedly until display shows BT symbol. - The PAIRING LED light will indicate the Bluetooth Status of the unit: STATUS PAIRING LED LIGHT Searching Pairing Connected LED flashes slowly LED blinks faster LED stays on - To force the unit to go into "SEARCHING" mode, Press and Hold the "PAIR" key for 2 seconds until the "BLUE PAIRING LED" begins flashing slowly. - Once the PAIRING LED Indicator begins flashing, you will find the unit listed in the Bluetooth connection list of your device (eg. In your Smartphone or Tablet). - Make connection on your device (eg. Press “CONNECT”). - If asked for a pass code, enter “0000”. - This is one-time event per device. To pair your unit with another device, please repeat the above steps. The unit remembers up to 6 devices. - There is no need to repeat this pairing procedure for up to 6 devices, even if unit is powered off. - The unit will also automatically pair with the LAST paired device if it is found when the unit is powered ON and switched to Bluetooth® mode. - Note that only one device can be paired at any given time, but the unit will remember up to 6 devices in memory. E-4 OPERATION OPERATION USB PORT (For MP3 PLAYBACK) USING THE FM RADIO - After inserting a USB memory drive to the USB MP3 SOCKET (8) , within 1 minute the unit will momentarily display the total number of MP3 songs it has found, and then immediately start playing the first song (# 001). - Press “FUNCTION” key repeatedly until display shows FM. - To improve radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna found at the rear of the unit. - After tuning into a desired station, use “FM MODE” key to select (MONO/STEREO) mode. - In some case, when the reception is poor, we recommend to use “MONO” mode for better clarity. - The following chart shows how to use USB mode: KEY FUNCTION + 10 FOLDER +/ FOLDER NEXT BACK PLAY/ PAUSE P-MODE STOP For USB thumb drive MP3 Playback Press repeatedly until “USB” is displayed Manual Frequency Adjustment (Scan Mode) - Press & immediately release “TUNE +” or “TUNE -” key to manually adjust the radio frequency 1 step at a time. - When the desired station is reached, it can be saved into one of the “MEMORY” positions. (See “Radio Memory” section for further details). Skips 10 tracks forward during MP3 playback Press to choose Folder location on your USB (Not usable in RANDOM play mode) Skip to next song Skip to previous song Start playback or pause playback NORMAL PLAY REPEAT REPEAT FOLDER Automatic Frequency Adjustment (Seek Mode) REPEAT ALL RANDOM PLAY - Press & Hold (For 2 seconds) “TUNE +” or “TUNE -” key to seek the next available radio station frequency. - When the desired station is reached, it can be saved into one of the “MEMORY” positions. (See “Radio Memory” section for further details). Radio Memory Stop playback NOTE: It takes time to “Open & Verify” a large USB-Drive, and count all the song files. If there are many files, it can take up to 60 seconds for this process. IMPORTANT: REMOVAL OF USB DRIVES Never remove USB drives from the unit during playback. Always STOP playback, then press “FUNCTION” key to switch to another mode (FM/BT/AUX) before removing your USB memory to prevent damage to your song files and memory device itself. Using Audio Line-in Connection (AUX-input) - This unit comes with an Audio Line-input jack(Labelled Aux-Input), allowing you to connect a device using an Auxillary cable. - Connect your external device to this unit using a standard stereo headphone (3.5mm to 3.5mm) cable. - Press “FUNCTION” key repeatedly until display shows “AUX”. - Switch on your external device & activate playback on it. - Playback of external device will start momentarily. Adjust the volume control of the main unit and your external device to the desired level. - Playback control can be done only through your external device. - Remember to switch off the unit when you finish using the external device. Display will show “P-01” (FLASHING). - Press & release “MEM +” or "MEM -" key to choose the desired memory storage position you would like to store into (P-01 to P-20). - Short Press “PROG.” key again to confirm selection. The display will stop flashing. - To erase a saved radio station, simply replace it with a new station in same memory position. Recalling a saved memory station - Short press “MEM+” or "MEM -" key to find a saved memory position. USB POWER BANK (charging port for external devices) Press & Hold the "Power Key" for 3 seconds to start the USB-Charging. (Red Charging LED will Flash slowly) This unit is equipped with a DC 5V USB charging port (6). To utilize this feature, simply connect the device you would like to charge (eg. Smartphone or Tablet) to a suitable USB cable and plug it into the USB charging port. Press & Hold the "Power" Key for 3 seconds to start the USB-Charging (Red Charging LED will Flash slowly). The Charging LED will automatically switch off when the device is fully charged, or when no device is connected. NOTE: - Only charge external USB Devices if internal battery exceed 30% capacity. - Charging function is not available in FM Mode. - Some devices may not be recharged properly. - The USB charging port (6) is designed for charging only.
