2. Charging Your Headphone
IMPORTANT: Your headphone operates on a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Although the
battery was fully charged when it left our factory, like all rechargeable batteries it can begin to
discharge during periods of non-use. We recommend that you charge the battery for at least 2.5
hours before first time use.
1. Connect the micro USB plug on the charging cable to the micro USB port on the headphone.
2. Connect the standard USB plug on the charging cable to any standard USB power port such as
found on a notebook computer, or the charging adapter for an iPod, iPhone, etc.
The Power/Charging/Pairing LED indicator will glow RED while the headphone is charging. The LED
indicator will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
Reminder: Allow the battery to charge for 2.5 hours before first time use. Normal recharge time after
first use should take about 2.5 hours. When fully charged the battery provides up to 15 hours of
working time, or 90 days of standby time.
Because your iB86 headphones use Bluetooth version 4.0 the battery level indicator of the
headphones may also appear on your smartphone home screen, usually adjacent to the phone’s own
battery level indicator, if your specific phone supports this display function.
3. Multi-Function Button (MFB)
Pressing the button answers/ends phone calls, controls Play/Pause function.
4. Switching the Power On and Off
1. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. The voice prompt will say “Power
On” and the LED indicator turns BLUE and flashes two times per second.
2. When the power is “On” press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. The voice
prompt will say “Power Off”. The LED indicator remains on briefly and then shuts off. This
indicates that the power is “Off”.
5. Manually Pairing With a Bluetooth Enabled Smartphone or Music
Player For The First Time
If your smartphone or music player is Bluetooth compatible (supports the A2DP Bluetooth Profile) you
may pair these iHome headphones with your phone or music player to listen to music and make or
receive calls as long as the two devices are within the Bluetooth operating range of approximately
33-feet of each other.
Note: Your iHome headphones must be in the Power “Off” mode to begin the manual pairing process.
1. Make sure that your iHome iB86 headphones are switched “Off”. Make sure that your smartphone
or music player is “On”.
2. Press and hold the Power button on your iB86 headphones for about 6 seconds until you hear the
“Power On” and “Pairing” voice prompts. The LED indicator begins alternately flashing blue and red
to indicate it is trying to pair with a compatible device.
3. If necessary, turn on the Bluetooth function of your phone or music player so that it begins searching
for a compatible device.
4. “iHome iB86” should appear on your phone or music player’s compatible devices list. You may also
see a message such as “Not Paired”. Tap on that message to complete the pairing process. If your
phone or music player asks for a “password” to complete the pairing process, enter ‘0000’ on the
keypad of your phone or music player.
5. When pairing is successful the screen on your phone should show “iHome iB86 Connected” or
similar message and you will hear the voice prompt say “Your device is connected”. The LED
indicator on the iB86 headphones will begin flashing blue two times per second. Your headphones
are now ready for use.
NOTE: If your iB86 headphones are not able to find a Bluetooth device that is in range and
“discoverable” after 3 minutes, the headphones will automatically power “Off” to preserve the battery.
6. Auto-Linking With A Previously Paired Device
If your iB86 headphones were previously paired with a Bluetooth enabled smartphone or music
player they will attempt to auto-link with that device again whenever that device is within the
Bluetooth operating range.
Press and hold the Power button on your iB86 headphones for about 3 seconds until you hear the
“Power On” voice prompt. If a previously paired device is found to be within range and turned ‘On’
the iB86 will re-link with it automatically. You will hear a beep tone and the voice prompt will say “Your
device is connected.”
Note: If no previously paired device is found after 3 minutes the auto-linking function stops and your
iB86 headphones shut off automatically to preserve the battery life.
7. Wearing Your Headphones
Your iHome iB86 Bluetooth headphones are supplied with padded ear cushions for long wearing
comfort. The headband can be extended to accommodate almost any head size. There are ‘L’ and
‘R’ markings on the inside of the headband, When the headphones are worn properly the controls
will be on your right side.
8. Using Your Headphones
Note: Some of the functions described may not be supported on your specific smartphone. Check
with your smartphone owner’s manual to confirm the features supported by your phone.

9. Auxiliary Input Jack and Cable
The auxiliary input jack allows you to use your iB86 Bluetooth
headphones as normal headphones so that you can listen to music on
any non-Bluetooth device that is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Your iB86 headphones should be in the Power “Off” mode. Use the volume and track navigation controls
on your music player as you would with any normal headphones.

Make sure your Bluetooth device is “On” and discoverable. When iHome iB86 appears on
your device’s menu, select it to complete pairing.

Double press the MFB to decline the incoming call.
Short press the MFB to end the call and “hang up”.
While the call is in progress double press the MFB to transfer the call between the phone
and the headphone.
When phone is paired with headphone but no call is in progress, double press the MFB to
redial the last number.
Short press the MFB to place the current call on hold and answer an incoming 2nd call.
Short press the MFB again to return to previous call.
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until your hear the “Power Off” prompt and
LED indicator shuts off.
PREPARATION FOR USE
It is dangerous and illegal (in some jurisdictions) to use headphones when you are driving a car, riding a bike
or motorcycle, or operating a watercraft. Be aware of local laws and regulations.
Do not use these headphones in situations where they might cause distractions or prevent you from hearing
warning sounds.
There are no user serviceable parts in these headphones. Do not attempt any service or repairs on your own.
Refer to the warranty for service, repair or replacement information.
Your new iHome Bluetooth stereo headphones are designed to link with your Bluetooth enabled
smartphone or music player to allow you to wirelessly listen to music and answer phone calls within
the normal 33 feet (10 meter) Bluetooth operating range.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Reception is noisy or intermittent
Make sure that the headphones and the paired device are within the Bluetooth operating range of
approximately 33 feet.
2. No Sound
Make sure that your headphones are properly paired and connected with your Bluetooth enabled
smartphone or music player. Refer to the “Pairing” instructions in this manual and in the manual
supplied with your phone or music player if necessary.
The rechargeable battery in your headphones may be exhausted and need to be recharged. Refer to
the “Charging Your Headphones” instructions in this manual.
3. Unable to Pair/Connect
The pairing settings between the headphones and your smartphone or music player may have been
erased or deleted. Follow the “Pairing” instructions in this manual to re-pair and reconnect the devices.
Turn off any other Bluetooth devices that are not being used to reduce external interference.
4. Some Functions Do Not Work
Your specific model of smartphone may not support some of the functions described in this manual.
Refer to the manual supplied with your phone for further information.

Internal Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery
This device uses an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery that should last the lifetime of the device. If you
suspect your battery may be dead, try charging it several times. If the battery does not recharge, please contact
us for repair information.
WARNING/DISPOSAL OF UNIT
Please do NOT attempt to change the battery yourself. If the battery has died and you do not want us to replace
your battery, you should follow the disposal instructions below:
• Never dispose of used batteries/electronics with ordinary solid wastes, since they contain toxic substances.

Action requise

2. Recharge du casque
IMPORTANT : Votre casque utilise une batterie au lithium-ion intégrée rechargeable. Bien que la
batterie ait été complètement chargée à la sortie d’usine, elle peut, comme toutes les batteries
rechargeables, se décharger pendant les périodes de non-utilisation. Il est recommandé de charger
l'appareil pendant au moins 2.5 heures avant la première utilisation.
1. Branchez le connecteur micro USB du câble de charge dans le port micro USB du casque.
2. Branchez le connecteur USB standard du câble de charge dans un port USB d'alimentation
standard tel que celui d'un ordinateur portable ou d'un adaptateur de charge pour iPod, iPhone, etc.
Le témoin d'alimentation/charge/couplage s'allume en rouge pendant la charge du casque. Le témoin
s'éteint quand la batterie est complètement chargée.
Rappel : Laissez la batterie se charger pendant 2.5 heures avant la première utilisation. Le temps
normal de charge après la première utilisation est d'environ 2.5 heures. Une fois complètement
chargée, la batterie peut assurer jusqu'à 15 heures d’utilisation ou 90 heures en veille.
Votre casque iB86 utilise Bluetooth version 4.0, l'indicateur de niveau de la batterie du casque peut
alors apparaître sur l’écran de votre smartphone, généralement à côté de l’indicateur du niveau de
batterie du téléphone même, à conditions que votre téléphone prend en charge cette fonction
d'affichage.

1. Maintenez appuyé le bouton d'alimentation pendant environ 3 secondes. Le message vocal «Power
On » sera émis et le témoin devient bleu et se met à clignoter lentement.
2. Lorsque l'appareil est « allumé », maintenez appuyé le bouton d'alimentation pendant environ 3

5.Couplage manuel avec un smartphone ou lecteur audio compatible
Bluetooth pour la première fois
Si votre smartphone ou lecteur audio, tel qu'iPod touch, est compatible Bluetooth (supporte le profil
Bluetooth A2DP) vous pouvez le coupler avec ce casque iHome pour écouter de la musique et
effectuer ou recevoir des appels tant que les deux appareils se trouvent dans la portée Bluetooth qui
est d'environ 10 mètres.
Remarque : Votre casque doit être éteint avant de lancer le processus le couplage manuel.
1. Assurez-vous que votre casque iHome iB86 est éteint. Veillez à ce que votre smartphone ou lecteur
audio soit allumé.
2. Maintenez appuyé le bouton d'alimentation de votre casque iB86 pendant environ 6 secondes
jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez « Power On » et « Pairing ». Le témoin se met à clignoter
rapidement en rouge et bleu indiquant que le casque essaie de se coupler avec un appareil
compatible.
3. Si nécessaire, activez la fonction Bluetooth de votre téléphone ou lecteur audio pour qu'il
commence à rechercher un appareil compatible.
4. « iHome iB86 » doit apparaître dans la liste des appareils compatibles de votre téléphone ou lecteur
audio. Vous pouvez également voir un message du type « Not Paired ». Touchez ce message pour
poursuivre le processus de couplage. Si votre téléphone ou lecteur audio vous demande un « mot
de passe » pour poursuivre le processus de couplage, entrez « 0000 » en l'utilisateur le clavier de
votre téléphone ou lecteur audio.
5. Lorsque le couplage est réussi, l'écran de votre téléphone affichera « iHome iB86 Connected » ou
un message similaire et le témoin du casque iB86 reste allumé. Votre casque est maintenant prêt
à l'emploi.
REMARQUE : Si le casque iB86 n’arrive pas à détecter un appareil Bluetooth «détectable» qui est
à portée dans les 3 minutes, il s’éteint automatiquement pour économiser la batterie
6.Connexion automatique avec un appareil précédemment couplé
Si votre casque iB86 a déjà été couplé avec un smartphone ou lecteur audio compatible Bluetooth, il
essaie de se connecter automatiquement à cet appareil à chaque fois qu’il se trouve dans la portée
Bluetooth.
Maintenez appuyé le bouton d'alimentation de votre casque iB86 pendant environ 3 secondes jusqu'à
ce que vous entendiez « Power On » ; Si un périphérique couplé se trouve être à portée et activée 'On'
la iB86 va rétablir le lien avec elle automatiquement. Vous entendrez un bip et le
message vocal dira “Votre appareil est connecté."
Remarque : Si aucun périphérique déjà couplé n'est trouvé au bout de 3 minutes, la fonction de connex-
ion automatique s'arrêtera et votre casque iB86 s'éteint automatiquement pour économiser la batterie.
7. Port du casque
Votre casque iHome iB86 Bluetooth est livré avec des oreillettes rembourrées pour un plus grand
confort lors des longues périodes d'utilisation. Le bandeau peut être allongé pour s’adapter à toute
forme de tête. Les lettres « L » et « R » sont inscrites sur le bandeau ; lorsque le casque est porté
correctement le bouton multifonction doit être à votre droite.
8. Utilisation du casque
Remarque : Certaines des fonctions décrites ci-dessous peuvent ne pas être prises en charge par votre
smartphone. Consultez le guide d'utilisation de votre smartphone pour connaître les fonctions prises en
charge.
9. Prise d'entrée auxiliaire
La prise d'entrée auxiliaire vous permet d'utiliser votre casque Bluetooth
iB86 comme un casque normal de manière à pouvoir écouter de la
musique à partir de tout appareil non-Bluetooth équipé d'une sortie
casque 3,5mm.
Votre casque iB86 doit être éteint. Utilisez les touches de réglage du volume et de contrôle des pistes de votre
lecteur audio comme vous le feriez avec tout casque normal.
Branchez un connecteur du câble dans l'entrée auxiliaire située en bas de
l’oreillette « R» du casque iB86, et l’autre connecteur dans la sortie casque de
votre source audio auxiliaire.
• Il est dangereux et interdit (dans certains pays) d'utiliser un casque lorsque vous conduisez une voiture, un
vélo, une moto ou un scooter nautique. Informez-vous sur les lois et réglementations locales.
• N'utilisez pas ce casque dans des situations où ils pourraient vous distraire ou vous empêcher d'entendre des
avertissements sonores.
• Il n'y a aucune pièce réparable par l'utilisateur à l'intérieur de ce casque. N’effectuez pas vous-même
l'entretien et la réparation de ce casque. Reportez-vous à la garantie pour toute information sur la réparation
ou le remplacement.
DÉPANNAGE
1. Réception bruyante ou intermittente
Veillez à ce que le casque et l'appareil couplé soient dans la portée Bluetooth qui est d'environ 10 mètres.
2. Pas de son
Assurez-vous que votre casque est correctement couplé et connecté avec votre smartphone ou lecteur
audio compatible Bluetooth. Si nécessaire, reportez-vous aux instructions de « couplage » de ce
manuel et du manuel fourni avec votre téléphone ou votre lecteur audio.
Il se peut que la batterie rechargeable de votre casque soit épuisée et nécessite d'être rechargée.
Reportez-vous à la section « Recharge du casque » de ce manuel.
3. Couplage/connexion impossible
Les paramètres de couplage entre le casque et votre smartphone ou lecteur audio ont du être effacés
ou supprimés. Suivez les instructions de « couplage » de ce manuel pour recoupler et reconnecter les
appareils.
Éteignez tous les autres appareils Bluetooth qui ne sont pas utilisés pour réduire les interférences externes.
4. Certaines fonctions ne marchent pas
Votre modèle particulier de smartphone peut ne pas prendre en charge certaines des fonctions décrites
dans ce manuel. Reportez-vous au manuel fourni avec votre téléphone pour plus d'informations.
N'oubliez pas de toujours éteindre votre casque s'il ne va pas être utilisé pendant une longue période.
N'exposez pas votre casque à des températures extrêmement élevées ou basses pendant de longues
périodes. N'exposez pas votre casque à la lumière directe du soleil et ne pas le laisser sur le tableau de bord
de votre voiture par une journée chaude. Évitez que de l'eau ou d'autres liquides pénètrent dans votre casque.
Protégez votre ouïe
L'utilisation de ce casque ou d’autres types de casques à des niveaux de volume élevés pendant de
longues périodes peut entraîner des dommages auditifs irréversibles. Commencez toujours par écouter à
un faible volume au niveau de votre casque, smartphone ou lecteur audio couplé, puis augmentez
progressivement le volume jusqu'à un niveau d'écoute confortable.

Pile rechargeable interne au lithium-ion
