Adaptor must be plugged in to operate. The IH7 does not operate on batteries. Setting the Clock a) Press and hold the 0 Time Zone Button untII the display flashes. b) Turn the Set Wheel to select your time zone. o) Press the Time Zone Button again. The clock will display the current time In your time zone. d) To adjust the time lor Daylight Saw’ng Time, slide the @ DST switch to +1 to advanoe the time 1 hour. Slide to 4 to turn the clock back 1 hour. To Set Clock Manually at Press and hold the ® Clock Adjust Button. The clock display will flash. b) Turn the 0 set Wheel until the current time is displayed (a PM indicator appears when lime is set to PM; there is no AM indicator). o) Press the Clock Adjust Button to accept the time. The year display will flash. d) Turn the Set Wheel to adjust the year and press the Clock Adjust Button. The date display will flash. 9) Turn the Set Wheel to adjust the date and press the Clock Adjust Button. Two beeps will indicate Block settlng is complete. Use DST switch to adjust tor Daylight Saving Time. Using the Alarms Setting the Alarm: a) Press and hold the 0 Alarm 1 Button until the alarm tr'me flashes to wake to iPod (buzzer alarm sounds it no lPod Is detected) or the 0 Alarm 2 Button to wake to the current radio station at a separate alarm time. You cannot wake to iPod shulfle. b) Turn the Set Wheel to set the alarm time (a PM indicator appears when time is set to PM; there is no AM indicator). c) Press the Alarm 1 Button a am (or the Alarmz Button ityou are setting second alarm). Alarm is now armed, indicated by the numbered alarm clock icon alarm 1 lPod or alarm 2 radio). Move antenna 12' away trom unit lor best reoeptlon. o) Extend 0 FM Antenna (on back of unit) fully for best reception, Do not strip. alter or attach to other antennas. Tuning and Playan the halo a) Press the 0 Radio Button to select radio play mode. Press as needed to select AM, FM! or FM? radio band. b) Turn the Set Wheel to tune radio to a desired shtion. c) To memorize the current station as a preset. press and hold 9 Preset Button 1.2.3 or 4. Repeat steps a.b.and c to preset up to 12 stations (4 AM, 3 FM). To listen to a preset station at any time, simply press the desired preset button. d) Turn the a volume Wheel to adjust iH7 volume up or down. e) Press G Alarm Reset/Power Off Button to turn iH7 and iPod oft. recommended for headphones. Usrng Sleep Mode Sleep mode lets you sleep to your iPod or the radio, gradually lowering the volume unlil the unit shuts oft at the selected h'me. a; Press the Q Sleep Button to select an amount of time before the iH7 will turn off: 120, 90, 60, 30 or 15 minutes. b Turn the Volume Wheel to set the sleep volume (this volume setting is separate from your standard volume setting). Using Dimmer a) Press the 0 snooze/Dimmer Button during normal operation to adjust brightness ot LCD display. Usmg the Extension Speaker 3) An extension speaker comes with the iH7. Use it to expand the stereo field. Plug the Extension Speaker into the Ext. Speaker Jack located on the back of the iH7. Plaoe the speaker as tar as possible lrom the unit for best stereo sound. Press the Power Button on the Extension Speaker. This will disable the right speaker on the main unit and send the signal to the extension speaker. You’re now ready to enjoy expanded stereo sound, Replacr g |H7 Backup Batte Install/Replace Backup Battery The iH7 uses a backup battery system to provide continuous alarm operation and clock settings invthe event 01a power lallure, It the Bathry Low Ioon located on the left otthe display is flashing. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of Ihe unit. insert 2 " ' batteries as indicated. When the remote control s ops operating or its range seems reduced, replace the batteries with new ones. 1. The battery door is located on the back end of the unit. 2. Press to release the battery door latch. 3. Insert two ‘CR2032’ 3-volt lithium batteries. Make sure the polarity (the + and - side of the battery) is cone . 4. Replace the battery holder back in the remote control. NOTE: PLEASE DISCARD BATTERIES PROPERLY CHANGING THE REMOTE CONTROL CODE The iH7 has 4 DIP switches located in the backup batte a) open the battery compartment on both the remote control and the iH7. b) check that all DIP switch positions on unit and remote control match c) use fingernail or small object such as a paperclip tip to move ONE of the switches on the unit to a different position. Do the same on the remote, making sure to move the same switch to the same position so the switches on each match. d) turn the unit on AFTER chan ing the DIP switch position tor the new code to take etteot. It the DIP switch is changed while unit is on, turn unit oftt en back on. e) test performance. Power Sources — The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
