A Consumer Guide to Product Safety '
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTION M
This unit has been designed and manufactured to assure your personal safety. Improper use can result in
potential electrical shock or fire hazards. Please read all the safety and operating instructions carefully
before installation and use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference. Take special note, adhere to
all warning, and always follow the instructions on the unit and in the instruction and service manuals.
1. Water and Moisture — The unit should not be used near water. For example: near a bathtub, washbowl,
kitchen sink1 laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet basement
2. Ventilation - The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with it’s
proper ventilation. For example, it should not be situated on a bed, sofa, mg or similar surface that may
block ventilan'on openings. Also, it should not be placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or
cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings.
3. Heat -— The unit should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or
other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
4. Power Sources — The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the
operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
5. Grounding or Polarization ~ This product is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug. (a
plug having one blade wider than the other) As a safety feature this plug will fit into the power outlet
only one way. If you are unable to fit the plus fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still
fails to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of
the polarized plug.
6. Power-cord Protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked
on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. It is always best to have a clear area firom where the
cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into an AC outlet.
7. Cleaning — The unit should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer.
8. Non-Use Periods -'1'he power cord of the unit should be unplugged from the outlet when it is to be left
unused for a long period of time.
9. Object and Liquid Entry — Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled
into the enclosure through openings.
10. Damage Require Service — The unit should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
A. The power supply cord or plug has been damaged.
B. Objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosure.
C The unit has been exposed to rain.
D. The unit has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.
E. The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
11. Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the unit beyond that described in the user’s
operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

Installation
Note: This Clock Radio operate by both AC or DC supply. To ensure DC operation, you must
install 5 "AA" batteries. Read through this instruction Book carefully before install battery or
plug in AC adapter. When the unit is connected to AC power the display back-light will be
lighted up.
Important: To ensure you will not miss weather alert warring, we recommend user to
install batteries even usin. AC supply.
DC Operation
1. For DC operation. 5 "AA" battery must be installed. For best performance and longer life. we
recommend using alkaline batteries.
2. Gently turn the unit over and remove the battery compartment door.
3. Install 5 "AA” alkaline batteries, while making sure that the polarity is correct as shown within
the battery compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment door.
Battery Low Indicator
Battery low icon is located in lower right-hand corner of the time digits. When the icon lights up it
is time to replace batteries.
Note: You should replace batteries if battery low icon appeared.
Important: Unit MUST be connecting to AC power while replacing backup battery. Othenflise
time and alarms setting may lose.

Maintenance
0 Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
0 Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth
or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture.
0 Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning
agents, such as Benzine. thinner or similar materials can marthe surface of the case.
figiggClock Time and Calendar
important — While setting the time or calendarkif you do not press the appropriate buttons (as
explained below) within approximately 8 seconds, the display will stop flashing. If this happens
you must follow the instructions again from step 1.
Setting the Clock Time
1. Press and hold the Time Set Button until the display begins flashing.
2. Press the FWD or REV Button to select correct time. Remember to set the correct AM or PM.
The PM Indicator is located on the upper left side of the time digits.
3. Press the Time Set Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also allow
the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode.
Note: While setting the time, if you press and hold the FWD or REV Button the minutes will
begin counting at a moderate pace, the get faster. This will assist you in easily setting the
time both fast and exact.
Setting the Calendar
Press and hold the calendar Set Button until the display begins flashing.
Press the FWD Button to set the month.
Press the REV Button to set the day.
Press the 7-5-2 Button to set the day of the week.
Press the Calendar Set Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also
allow the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode.

Alarm pgeratjfl
This Clock Radio features three alarms that can be set and used independently. You can set both
alarms to wake three people at different times. set alarm as a backup to the other in case you
shut off the first alarm and go back to sleep, or use alarm(s) for weekdays and other for weekend
wake up times.
Setting the Weather Radio Alarm Time
Important — While setting the alarm time. the display will return to the current clock time (normal
mode) it the appropriate buttons are not pressed within approximately 8 seconds. You
can exit the setting mode at anytime by simply pressing Alarm Set Button repeatedly
until the current clock time is displayed.
1. Press the Alarm Set Button until the Weather Alarm indicator appears on the top of the
display and the alarm time is flashing.
2. Press the FWD or REV Button to adjust to time you want to wake up. Remember to set the
correct AM or PM time. The PM Indicator is located on the upper left side of the time digits.
3. Press the 7.5.2 Button to select the alarm will come on everyday, weekdays or weekend only.

4. Press the Alarm Set Button again to return the display to normal mode. You can also allow
the display to flash for approximately 8 seconds to return to normal mode.
5. Press the Weather Alarm Button until the Weather Alarm indicator appears on the top of
the display to confirm that the radio will turn on at the set time.
Note: While setting the time, it you press and hold the FWD or REV Button the minutes will
begin counting at a moderate pace, the get faster. This will assist you in easily setting the
time both fast and exact.
Setting the Nature Sound Alarm Time
1. Press the Alarm Set Button until the Sounds Alarm indicator appears on the top of the display and the alarm
time is flashing,
2. Follow to step 2 to 5 of Setting the Weather Radio Alarm Time but by replacing Wearher Alarm to Sounds Alarm.
3 The last nature sound that you listened to will be the nature sound that is setto turn on at the alarm time. Follow
the instruction under Listening to Nature Sounds if needed.
Setting the Radi_9_Alarm Time
1. Press the Alarm S'et Button until the Rndlo Alarm Indicator appears on the top of the display and the alarm
time is flashing.
2. Follow to step 2 to 5 of Setting the WeatherRadio Alarm Time but by replacrng Weather Alarm to Buzzer Alarm.
3. DO NOT FORGET to set the band. radio station and volume level you wish to wake to.
gonfing Your Wake-up Settings
1. Press the Alarm Set Button to change the current clock time to the flashing alarm time with the alarm indicator at
the top of the display.
2. Repeatedly press the Alarm set Button until you see the Weather. Sounds or Radio Alarm Indicator and the
corresponding alarm time flashing on the display.
Alarm
rm turn on. press the Alarm ResetIOff Button to turn ofl the alarm. The alarm will turn on again at the
same time the following day unless the controls are changed.
2. To cancel any of the alarms. simply press the Woathor, Sounds and/or Radio Alarm Button until the alarm
indicator disappears from the top of the display.
3 It the alarm is not turned off after it sounds, it will play for approximately 1 hour. then turn off automatically. This
cycle will repeat every 24 hours unless the controls are changed.
Listening I Sleegtq AMIFM Radio
Note: Extend FM wrre antenna luily for best FM reception. Rotate the unit, as required. for best AM reception.
1. Press the Radio Button to turn on the radio. '
2. Set the Band Switch to the right~hand side to the desired band. AM or FM. Rotate the Tunlng Control to select
a station
3 Press the Radio Button again to change to sleep mode. The sleep timer will shut the radio off automatically so
you can tail asleep to radio. Remains sleep time will show on left hand side below the times digits.
4. You can adjust sleep timer from 90. 60. 30 or 15 minutes by pressing the button again. If pressing the button
again while sleep to 15 minutes will turn off the unit.
5 Adiust the Volume Control as desired.
6 To avoid affect alarm sound level, you can adjust sleep volume by pressing the Sleep Volumo Button as
desired. Sleep Volume icon will change to show volume selects.
7. To stop listening at anytime by pressing the Alarm Reset! 0" Button to turn off the unit.

Listening/Sleep to Weather Radio
Note: Extend wire antenna fully for best reception.
1. Press the Weather Button once to turn on the radio. The Weather LED on left-hand side will
turn on also.
2. Press the Weather Button again to change to sleep mode. The sleep timer will shut the radio
off antomatically so you can fall asleep to nature sounds. Remains sleep time will show on the
display.
3. You can adjust sleep timer from 90. 60, 30 or 15 minutes by pressing the button again, If
pressing the button again while sleep to 15 minutes will turn off the weather radio.
4. Set the Channel Switch to the left-hand side to the number position that has the best
reception in your living area. They are as follows:
1 — 162.400MHZ
2 — 162.425MH2
3 -162,450MHz
4 —162.475MHz
5 —162.500MHZ
6 —162.525MH2
7 —162.550MHZ
5. Adjust the Volume Control as desired.
6. To avoid affect alarm sound level, you can adjust sleep volume by pressing the Sleep
Volume Button as desired. Sleep Volume icon will change to show volume selects.
7. To stop listening at anytime by pressing the Off/Alarm Reset Button to turn off the radio.
Important Information Regarding Weather Broadcasts
0 Weather band broadcast transmission is a very low power and is not the same as the
transmission of FM radio broadcasts.
0 Weather band stations are located in specific geographic locations and terrain. which means
the area in which you live may not be within the range of such a station. If your receive AM
and FM stations without a problem, but cannot receive weather hand information, it means
you are beyond the range of the nearest weather station, not that your radio is defective.
0 To help improve reception, move the antenna or rotate the radio until you get the best
reception. Reception will also vary from daytime to night time.
Weather AI _
This unit inc al weather alert circuitry designed to receive emergency broadcast signal
from the N.O.A.A. If severe or dangerous weather conditions are approaching your area, your
local N.O.A.A. station will send out an alert signal which will be pick up by this unit. When the
radio receives the alert signal, it will warn you by flashing LED and/or build-in warning phrase.
This weather alert circuitry will override all other operations.

1.You may choose from between 2 different alarms when a weather alert signal is received by
setting the Alert Mode Switch to LED or LED + Speechl If LED + Speech is choose. the
Speech LED at right-hand side will be turned on.
2. For LED mode, once alert signal came, the Weather LED on left—hand side will flashing up to 2
hours,
3. For LED + Speech model not only Weather LED on will flashing but will play build—in warning
phrase 2 times. ‘
Important: Please be aware that the US government weather broadcasts operate 24 hours a day.
When dangerous weather conditions are approaching, your local weather station will transmit an
alert signal regardless of the time of day. Therefore, if you do not wish to be awakened in the
middle of the night by the weather alert signal, be sure to set the Alert Mode Switch to LED
position. In this position. the Weather LED will blink when an alert signal is received, but there
will be no audible alarmi
Weather Alert Test Function
Your local N.OAA.A. weather broadcast station will transmit a weather alert signal each week on
Wednesday between 10:00AM and 12:00 noon local time so that you can verify your radio is
working properly. (Exception: If severe weather is predicated during the normal testing time. the
test may be delayed to the following day.)
Your weather alert radio will react to this test signal the same way it will for an actual emergency
broadcast signal. Depending on the setting of the Alert Mode Switch. when the test alert signal
received the Weather LED will blink and/or warning phrase will be heard together.
You can perform this test manually also by
lPress and hold the TEST Switch of about 10 seconds.
2. Press the TEST Switch again to cancel the test.
§gr£gelDimmer Operation
1. Press the Snooze/Dimmer Button under normal operation and using AC operation to change
the brightness of display backlight.
2. Press the Snooze/Dimmer Button after the alarm sounds, the alarm will go off and will come
on again in approximately 10 minutes. You may repeat this cycle several times during the 1
hours alarm cycle.
