Set the Dimmer Switch 0 on Hi or Low depending on the brightness in your
mom.
Setting the Clock and Alarm Time
Setting the Clock Time
1 Press and hold the Time Set Button 0, then press the Hour Button 0
until the current hour is displayed Remember to set the correct AM or
PM. The PM Indicator will light up in the lower right corner oi the display

Instant Weather Broadcast
. Press the Orr/O" Weather Button 0. The Instant Weather LED wrll light
to indicate that the weather band has been turned on.
Set the Weather Channel Selectoero the number position that has the
best reception in your living area. They are as fotlows:

4 - 162.112sz 5 - 162.525MHZ 6 - 162.500MHZ
7 - 162.550MH2
Fully extend the FM wire antenna and adjust the unit’s directlon tor the
best possible reception,
Adjust the Volume Control 0 as desired.
Whentimshed listening. press the Orr/0" Weather Button 0. The Instant
Weather LED witt not remain IIL indicating that the weather band has been
turned off.
Note: While listening to the weather, the Alarm. Steep, and Radio will not

important lntormation Regarding Weather Broadcasts
- Weather band broadcast transmission is every low power and Is not
the same as the transmission at FM radio broadcasts.
' Weather hand stations are located in specific geographic locations
and terrain, which means the area in which you live may not be within
the range at such a station. Il you receive AM and FM stations without
aproblem, but cannot receive weatherband information, it means you
are beyond the range 01 the nearest weather station, not that your
radio is detective
- To help improve reception. move the antenna or rotate the radio until
you get the best reception. Reception will aiso vary trorn daytime to
night time.
Battery Backup
Note: After installing the Battery Backup and reading through the Maintenance
below, plug the AC Irne cord correctly Into a wall outlet. When the unit
is connected to AC power tor the first time the display may blink.
It the battery is installed and a power iatlure occurs or the AC cord is
accidentally disconnected, the display will not remain lit, but the current time
and alarm time settings will be tanporarily maintained.
It the battery has not been installed or is dead, when the AC power resumes.
the display will llash and you must reset the time and alarm time settings
1. Turn the unit upside down and place it gently
on a flat suitace.
2 Open the battery compartment cover and " A
install a 9 volt battery. (We recommend using
an alkaline battery for longer tile).
3. Close the battery compartment door and turn
the unit right side up.
Battery Low Indicator
A Battery tow icon is located in the lower leit corner of the display. When the
icon lights up. it is time to replace the 9 volt battery.
Maintenance
Place the iirtlton a level sun'ace, away trorp direct sunlight. and excessive
heat
' Protect your furniture when placing the unit on a natural oil or lacquered
linlsh. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between the
unit and the lurnlture.
0 Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water.
Stronger cleaning agents can mar the surlace ot the case.

The power supply cord or plug has been damaged
Objects have tallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosure.
The unit has been exposed to rain,
The unit has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.
The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked
change in pertormance.

Listening to the Radio
1, Slide the Mode Switch 0 to ON. The Dial Pointer will light.
2. Set the Band Switch 0 to AM or FM.
3. Rotate the Tuning Dial Q to the station you preler and adjust the Volume
Control 0 If needed.
4. When you are linished listening, slide the Mode Switch ® to OFF.
Alarm Operation
Wake to Radio. Weather or Buzzer
1. Set the alarm time as indicated in Setting the Alarm Time
2 Slide the Mode Switchtbto ALARM. The alarm bell ioonwtlllirjit intho upper
lell comer ol the display. The alarm Is now set to automatically turn on at the
time you selected
Note: Please make surethat the Ort/Ol't Weather Button 0 is all and the
LED is not lit. otherwise the alarm will not turn on at the time
selected.
3. It you choose to wake to radio, slide the Wake to Switch 0 to RADIO
Make sure you have used the Band Switch 0 and Tuning Dial 9 to find
the station you wish to wake to. Also. use the Volume Control 0D to set
the desired "wake to" volume leveL (See Listening to Radlo).
4, if you choose to wake to weather. slide the Wake to Switch 0 to
WEATHER, Make sure you have selected the desired weaMer station with
the Weather Statlon Selector 0. Also. use the Volume Control 0 to set
the deswed “wake to” volume level (See tnstant Weather Broadcast).
5. it you choose to wake to buzzer, slide the Wake to Swltch Q to BUZZER
The buzzer alarm is equipped with a "Gentle Wake‘ alarm system. When
the alarm turns on it Will begin at a low level and gradually become louder
until it reaches it's maximum volume level or has been turned oll
