Loaning your vehicle to othersWhenever you loan your vehicle to an individual who is not familiarwithMAGICAR, you may want to put the vehicle in Valet mode.This will prevent the borrower from accidentally activating theMAGICARauto-security system.3. For manual transmission vehiclesIf the MAGICARis installed in a manual transmission vehicle, extraprecautions are required because the MAGICARdoes not monitorthe gear shifter : Important!Under normal circumstances, ReservationMode is cancelled when a door or hatchback opens. Please verifythat the opening of any door or hatchback cancels ReservationMode. If any of the doors or hatchback are not monitored by theMAGICARbecause of improper installation or a faulty dome lightswitch, do not use the MAGICARand take your vehicle immediate-ly to the dealer for repair.Do not set Reservation Mode if the window(s) are open or if thereis anyone inside the vehicle, this includes animals. One-Way Remote Owner's Manual6Important Requirements to activate Reservation Mode-The transmission must be in the NEUTRAL position. -The vehicle windows must be rolled up. -Do not set the reservation mode with people in the vehicle. -Do not auto-start the vehicle with people inside it.Activating Reservation Mode(MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY )Step 1:After arriving at your destination, andBEFORE TURNING YOUR ENGINE OFF, place the transmission in the Neutral position.Step 2:Activate the parking brake.Step 3:Remove your foot from the foot brake.Step 4:Remove the key from the ignition, and the engine willremain running.Step 5:Exit the vehicle and close the door within twominutes after activating the parking brake. The engine willshut off and reservation mode for the remote starter is now complete.One-Way Remote Owner's Manual5Step 1: Activate Valet/ Programming mode by man-ually turning the ignition on then off (between Acc andOn) five times within seven seconds. The parkinglights will flash once with successful completion ofthis step.Step 2:Within a seven second period after cycling the ignition for the 5th time, Press the button for a 1/2second. The vehicle parking lights will flash once to confirm that the transmitter has beenprogrammed. You can continue programming the additional remotes atThis Time. The parking lights will flash two times when the program-ming mode has expired.In order to auto-start your manual transmission vehicle, you must firstset the MAGICAR system to Reservation Mode before leaving yourvehicle. The purpose of Reservation Mode is to leave the transmissiongear in the neutral position when you leave your vehicle. Reservationmode is intended for use on MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY and NOT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. Reservation Modemust be engaged each and every time you leave your manual transmis-sion vehicle in order to auto-start it.Reservation Mode (manual transmission only)Note : The system is not recommended for manual transmis-sion vehicles with removable or convertible tops.While the vehicle is in valet mode, the only features that will functionwill be the keyless entry and optional auxiliary functions. In order toenter Valet mode, press thebuttons simultaneously for a 1/2second. In order to manually enter Valet Mode, insert your key into the igni-tion and turn the ignition on and off (between ACC and ON)five timeswithin 7 secondsValet ModeTo program remote to a secondary vechicle, press the and buttonssimultaneously for 2.5 senconds. The LED on the remote will begin to flashonce every two seconds, for 30 seconds. This is the 2nd car mode. During thistime you can perform the above programming steps on the vehicle you wish touse as the secondary vehicle.To activate 2nd car mode, press the and buttons simultaneously for2.5 seconds. The LED on the remote will begin to flash once every two seconds, for 30 seconds. During this time, you can use the remote to control the functionof the secondary vehicle.

Otherwise, it will attempt to start thevehicle three times. If, after three times, the vehicle will not start orstay running, the the MAGICAR system will shut down.
