2 General safety instructions WARNING: Avoid electric shock! Do not open the cover of this product. Opening or removing the cover may expose you to dangerous voltages. Power source warning: A label on this product indicates the correct power source for this product. Operate this product only from an electrical outlet with the voltage and frequency indicated on the product label. Regularly inspect the cable and connector for any kinks, breaks, bends, or other damage. Should you find any such damage, discontinue use of the cable. If this product connects to cable wiring, be sure the cable system is grounded (earthed). Grounding provides some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Protect the product from lightning Eliminate AC mains overloads Never apply excessive force on the connector into a port, because this may cause damage that is not covered under the warranty. If the connector and port do not join with reasonable ease, they probably do not match. Check for obstructions and make sure that the connector matches the port and that you have positioned the connector correctly in relation to the port. Provide ventilation and select a location: Remove all packaging material before applying power to the product. Do not place this apparatus on an unstable surface. Do not block ventilation openings. Protect from exposure to moisture and foreign objects: Do not expose this product to dripping or splashing liquids, rain, or moisture unless fitted with sealing cover. Do not drop or knock the product. Do not place objects on top of the product. Unplug this product before cleaning. Do not use a liquid cleaner or an aerosol cleaner. Do not use a magnetic/static cleaning device (dust remover) to clean this product. Never push objects through the openings in this product. Foreign objects can cause electrical shorts that can result in electric shock or fire. CAUTION: the product may become hot when is use. The product can be damaged if stored or operated outside of the temperature ranges (see datasheet). Avoid exposing the product to extreme temperatures or dramatic changes in temperature or humidity. WARNING: This device has antitampering technology. Attempts to open the enclosure by unqualified personnel may render the device inoperable. If you open the cover, the warranty will be void. This product contains no user-serviceable parts.

4 Country specific statements and certifications • CE CE Declaration of conformity: Hereby, Sigfox declares that the radio equipment type SMBS-T4 is in compliance with Directive 2014/53/EU. The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available at the following internet address: https://resources.sigfox.com/document/smbs-t4-notice WEEE: This marking on the product, accessories or literature indicates that the product and its electronic accessories should not be disposed of as unsorted household waste. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate these items from other types of waste in accordance with local environmental regulation. These items need to be recycled responsibly to promote sustainable reuse of material resources. • FCC This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). ➢ Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
5 ➢ Changes or modifications made to this equipment not expressly approved by (manufacturer name) may void the FCC authorization to operate this equipment. ➢ This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. End users must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. ➢ This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: ➢ Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ➢ Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ➢ Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. ➢ Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. FCC ID : 2ACK7-SMBST4 • Canada "Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry Canada.
6 To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communication. This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1) This device may not cause interference, and 2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device." This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body. IC: 12204A-SMBST4
