How to install
1. Unpack the carton box and check the items inside.
2. Connect the power cable, keyboard jack, mouse jack, and monitor cable to the
counterparts in the rear side.
3. Input the serial numbers(25digits) attached on the top of the left side in the
window asking the serial numbers, after powering on and booting.
4. Fit to your individual requirement, if any, then it’s ready to use.
XP Installation ;
1. How to install Window XP
1) Press Delete key many times when the computer is powered on. Then it
returns to CMOS setting up the environment of this computer. You can move to
each line using the arrow keys. You also can correct the contents using the
keys of PageUp and PageDown.
2) Enter after moving to BIOS FEATURES SETUP.
3) After screen changed, change A, C, SCSI line of Boot Sequence to CD-ROM,
C, A with PageUP and PageDown keys. That’s the procedure of putting disks in
order for booting.
4) Press ESC, and then returns to the first screen.
5) Press F10, and then the screen of ‘Save & Setup? Y/N’ will appear. Press Y
and then Enter. All the set up procedure for starting with Window CD is over.
6) Computer will be rebooted. Window XP CD must be in CD ROM at this moment.
7) Press any key when you see the message of ‘Press any key to boot from CD…’.
That means it’ll boot with Window XP CD.
8) Waiting for a while, a blue screen appears. You must wait till the next screen
appears, while Window searches hardware information and sets up.
9) Press Enter for new installation.
10) License Agreement is shown after a while. Press F8 as agreement.
11) Press ESC to erase the ex-Window program.
12) Press Enter for the question of requiring the selection of keyboard types.
13) A screen of setting up partition is shown.
14) In case partition is not installed or repartition is required, press D key and
delete the current partition. After deleting, press C key and you can make the
partition. But we’re reinstalling Window, so just press Enter.
15) Press C key.
16) If you select “Maintaining the current file system”, there’ll be no change in file,
and Window will be reinstalled. If something wrong in Window and recovered
with reinstallation, it’s O.K. However unless recovered, everything must be
deleted and reinstalled. Reinstallation requires set up with NTSF or FAT and
format.(Everything in HDD is clearly deleted.) Initial setup from factory is NTSF
or FAT.
17) Format starts when press F key. When format is over, restart after copying
Window installation file. Just leave it while restart sequence. Window will be
reinstalled soon.
18) 1. If country and language option is asked during Window installation sequence,
then click the following.
2. Register name.
3. Register CD Key.
4.Register Computer name.
5. Set up date and time. Installation will be continued.
6. Set up networking.(Usually leave it basic and press Enter.)
19) Arrange hardware devices and fit the drivers, and then set up the screen. Now
installation procedure is over. If you don’t understand this instruction, refer to
our homepage.
2. How to install drivers
1) Click ‘Transfer to classic look’ in Control Menu located in left top.
2) The window of Control Panel is open. Double click System.
3) Click ‘Hardware’ when the window of ‘System Registration information.
4) Click ‘Device Manager’ in the window of ‘Hardware’.
5) This left screen shows no question mark or no exclamation mark, because
all the drivers are arranged. However without that arrangement, a question
mark or an exclamation mark will be expressed. Usually 80% of
drivers are automatically arranged by Window XP, but some not. In that
case, you can put our Electronic manual in CD ROM and select the
automatic installation, and then Window itself installs related drivers
automatically. Next step will show you how to install automatically.
Double click the devices that show a question mark or an exclamation mark.
6) Click ‘Driver’, when the left window opens. <Ex>let try with ‘Display
Adapter’.
7) Click ‘Driver Update’.
8) The window of ‘Update Hardware Wizard’ opens. 1> If you select
‘automatic installation of software’ and click the following, Window research
and install the relevant drivers by itself. Driver should be inside the
computer at this step. That is, driver CD or our Electronic Manual CD in the
CD ROM or the unzipped file downloaded from our homepage is necessary
for automatic research and installation of Window. 2> Who are
accustomed to manual installation may select ‘Installation in a list or special
position’. No explanation is required in case of automatic installation, but
the manual installation still requires more explanation for the rest
procedures. Select ‘Installation in a list or special position’ and click the
following.
9) Select ‘No search, direct selection of the driver to be installed’ and click the
following.
10) Click ‘disk in(H)’.
11) Click ‘Search(B)’.
12) Indicate the position of driver, when the window of ‘file search’.
13) Click ‘Next’ after selecting the driver suitable for each device.
14) Window copies driver as the left picture shows. A message appears when
the copy is over. Click ‘Finish’ and then installation is over.
3. How to use start up menu
1) Initial screen in Window. Nothing appears except Recycle bin. Let’s find out
how to set up the start up menu.
2) Move to Start/Control Panel.
3) Click ‘Transfer to classic look’ located in left top.
4) Click ‘Task bar & Start up’ menu.
5) Now let’s find out more on the function of ‘Task bar & Start’ menu.
6) Let’s start from the appearance of Task bar. 1> ‘Task bar Lock(L) ; If you
check this function, you can’t control the Task bar. Ex> Control of Task bar
If you position the mouse point in the edge of Task bar, the arrow of the mouse
point is changed to bi-directional as the left picture shows. Control the left
mouse button with it clicked, as large as you want. (Actually the mouse
point is not large enough.) 2> ‘Automatic hiding of Task bar(U)’ : If you
check this function, Task bar is set up to be hidden in the bottom of screen.
Ex> Automatic hiding of Task bar(U) No Task bar appears on screen.
3> ‘Top location of Task bar(T) : If you check this function, Task bar is always
shown. 4> ‘Group expression of the button of the same kinds of tasks’ : If
you check this function, same kinds of programs will be in a group to be
informed by numbers. 5> ‘Quick Start Icon expression (Q)’: If you check
this function, Quick Start Icon will be shown. Ex> Group expression of the
button of the same kinds of tasks(G) Same kinds of programs will be in a
group to be informed by numbers. Ex> ‘Quick Start Icon
expression(Q)’ It’s a convenience to register what’s used often to Quick
Start Icon line. So easy how to register. Make a quick Icon of the relevant
program and move it to the line of Quick Start Icon. 6> Let’s get more on
‘Notice Area’. 1. ‘Clock Indication(K) : If you check this function, time will
be shown in the line of notice icon line. 2. ‘Hiding icons not used(H)’ : If
you check this function, the programs not used are not shown in the notice
window. Ex> Clock Indication(K) Ex> Hiding icons not used(H) 3.
‘User Designation(C)’ : Users can designate Hiding the icons not used.
7) Now let’s get more on ‘Start up menu’ in the properties of Task bar and start up
menu. Select User Designation.
8) We’ll get into the function of ‘Common’ in the User Designation of Start up
menu. 1> Selection of the program size : You can control the size of Start
up menu with this icon. Ex>’Big Icon’ and ‘Small Icon’ 2> You can
control the numbers of the icons of the programs you have recently used.
Ex> The numbers of the icons you have recently used in case of six icons
3> The type of internet and e-mail program can be set up in the Start up menu.
Ex> Setting of the type of internet and e-mail program in the Start up menu
9) We’ll get into the function of ‘High Class’. 1> ‘Setting of Start up menu’ :
Applied to ‘All Programs(P)’ in the window of Start up menu. Ex> ‘Setting
of Start up menu’ If you move the mouse to this point, the list of programs
will be automatically shown. 2> ‘Articles of Start up menu’ : Applied to the
items of the right top in the window of Start up menu. – If you check
‘Expression with menu’, the file list of my pictures will be shown like the recent
documents. – If you check ‘Expression with connection’, only the icon will be
shown. Ex> ‘Articles of Start up menu’ 3> ‘Recent documents’ :
Applied to ‘My recent documents’ of the articles of the right top in the window of
Start up menu. Ex> The list of documents recently effectuated is
enumerated.
10) We’ll get into the function of ‘ex-Start up menu’ of the properties of Task bar &
Start up menu. Open the windows in the order of ‘Start/Control Panel/Task
bar & Start up menu. 1> Click ‘Start up menu’. 2> Select ‘Ex-Start up
menu(M)’. 3> Click ‘User designation©’.
11) The window of ‘User designation of Ex-Start up menu’ opens. ‘Ex-Start up
menu’ is offered for the sake of convenience of the users who are
accustomed to previous OS versions, by the means of maintaining the
same method with previous Win98SE/ME/2000. Each article of User
designation of Ex-Start up menu is same with the previous window, so you can
just set up the article you want. Thank you.
4. How to set up Desktop Screen
1) If you control Desktop screen, click ‘Start up’ and ‘Control Panel’.
2) Double click ‘Display’ in Control Panel.
3) Let us inquire into the function of the properties of Display. We can set up
the theme of Window.
4) Selection of the image of Desktop screen Select the desktop in Start/Control
panel/Display. The image of Desktop screen will be changed if you select the
article in the ‘background’.
5) When you want to use the different photograph or picture as Desktop screen
1> Select the button of ‘Search’ in Start/Control panel/Display/Desktop screen.
2> If you indicate the route of the picture you want, the selected image will be
set up as Desktop screen.
6) Controlling the image of ‘Desktop screen’ 1> Select Start/Control
panel/Display/Desktop screen. 2> You can control the image according to
the selected specification of ‘position’. 3> Color pallet will come out if you
click ‘Color’. After clicking the color you want, click ‘Assure’.
7) Screen Saver 1> Select Start/Control panel/Display/Screen saver 2>
After selecting the article you want, click ‘Assure’.
8) Management of Computer power 1> Select Start/Control
panel/Display/Desktop screen 2> Click ‘Power’ in the bottom. Set up each
article to fit to each user’s need.
9) Setting up the window of Explorer 1> Select Start/Control
panel/Display/Screen coloring. 2> Click ‘Effect’. Check the article you want,
and then click ‘Assure’. 3> Click ‘High class’. You can set up more details.
10) Settings of Monitor resolution and Color quality 1> Select Start/Control
panel/Display/Settings. 2> You can set up the screen resolution. 3> You
can select ‘Color quality’. Usually the setting of High color(16bit) is
recommendable, because the speed of computer becomes slower a little in
case of higher quality. 4> If you click ‘High class’, you can set up more
details.
Attentions
- Computer page 1 -
Please install it in a clean place without a dirt. The components of computer may be
in trouble in a dirty surroundings.
Please install it in a spacious area where this computer can be located safely. You
need to secure a enough space for installation without any obstacle.
Please install it in the space without an external stimulation of electricity or magnetism
If it’s stimulated, computer may get damaged.

Please avoid the space of high temperature and much moisture in installation.
Computer has no tolerance to heat and moisture. Semi-conductor, the core component
of computer can be fatal in case exposed to heat, and weak with moisture.
The most proper temperature for computer is 15 ~ 20 degree in Centigrade. It
should be well-ventilated in Summer, and the proper temperature should be maintained
in Winter.
Computer hates coffee and smoking. Smoking damages HDD and FDD. And please
be careful not to pour coffee or something on keyboard.

Please make the distance between computer and user around 50cm. The distance
between eyes and monitor should be around 50cm, and the top of the monitor also
should be 10~20 degrees lower than eyes of user in installation.
Computer must not be shocked in moving. Please be careful to the damage of
hardware in moving computer.

Please be careful not to be bent with CD-ROM.
Please use a clean and soft rag in cleaning a stain like dust or fingerprint.
Please avoid a direct ray of light.

Please never drop or shock CD-ROM.
Please never use a chemical detergent like benzene or thinner.
Please avoid the moisture.

Please never write anything on the surface of disk.
Please be careful not to scratch or stain the surface in seizing CD-ROM.
Please never scratch the surface of disk with the sharp.
Software
PC cillin
PC-Cillin is an excellent product, and suitable for the computer environments in home
and company. The upgraded function of PC-Cillin will be watchful about a virous.
Unless you copy and register the following serial number in installation, only 30-day
limited version will be installed. 설치=installaion
Direct X
It’s most effective to control hardware directly instead of Windows, in order to enjoy the
games with faster speed in Windows. Direct X composed of Direct Draw, Direct
Sound, Direct Play, Direct Input, and Direct 3D is essential software to be installed to
enjoy games. (In case of Win XP, it’s useless, because it basically includes 8.1
version.) installation
Media Player
You can enjoy all the moving images and sounds through this Media player of the
convenient interface.

Video : avi/mov/mpg/dat play

Acrobat Reader
This is Acrobat Reader in Korean version which enables us to read PDF file of Adobe.
It enables us to open PDF file as a standard document and read so many documents in
detail.
CD Man
CD Man is the software which forms DB from CDs like Data CD or MP3 CD, and
searches out the location of the CD and folder of the specific file contained when
necessary, offers the function of CD jacket composition through the DB information,
and composes something like memo in a specific folder or file.
Photo Viewer
Photo Viewer is the program which enables us to see the various image files with ease.
It supports 17 kinds of image files. (BMP, JPG, GIF, TIFF, ICO, CUR, PCT, PCX, PCD,
PSD, TAG, WMF…)
Besides it supports the similar interface to Window investigator for convenience.
NexZip
NexZip is the tool of zip/unzip, and supports zip, the representative form of
compression.
It’s very easy to use, because it offers User Interface, similar to the window of the folder
of Investigator.
Besides you can unzip a compressed file even in a computer without an unzip program,
because it supports the function creating effectuated files.

1. Confirm the Switch for Choosing Input Voltage and Available Voltage
The power supply is adopted differently by the model type.
In case of absence of the Switch for choosing input voltage
You don’t have to select the voltage because the system can select automatically 110V
or 220V.
In case of presence of the Switch for choosing input voltage
When you install the system, confirm ‘the switch for choosing input voltage’ and ‘input
voltage(110V/ 220V)’.
If the input voltage is 220V, Select 230V.
(The switch for choosing input voltage is selected 230V when the the product is
forwarded.)
It the input voltage is 110V, Select 115V.
2. Connecting the PS/2 Type Mouse and Keyboard
Connect the PS/2 type mouse to PS/2 type mouse connector and PS/2 type keyboard to
PS/2 type keyboard connector.
3. Connecting the Monitor
Connect the Signal Cable of the monitor to the VGA Monitor Connector.
4. Connecting the Peripheral Devices connected with Sound
You can the Peripheral Devices connected with Sound by connecting to the Sound Card.
(Connecting devices can differ from the Sound card by model type.)
5. Connecting USB Device
You can use the USB Mouse, Keyboard, USB CCD Camera by connecting to the USB
Device.
6. Connecting LAN
When you connect LAN Cable to LAN Connector, you can use the Network.
7. Connecting Printer
You can use the Parallel Printer/Scanner by connecting to the Parallel Port Connector.
8. Connecting Power
Connect the Exterior Power to the system by the Power Input Socket.

2. DVD Multi Drive(CD/DVD Drive)
You can use the various format CDs like the Audio CD, Video CD with the CD-
ROM(DVD-ROM) Drive.
(CD-ROM Drive/DVD-ROM Drive is adopted differently by the model type.)
3. Floppy Disk Drive
The FDD can read and write the Floppy Disk.
4. Hard Disk Drive
The HDD is the auxiliary memory unit can read and write the data.
5. Interior Speaker (option)
When the application program connected with Sound works, the sound is output.
6. Mainboard
The Mainboard is the circuit board with various kinds of parts.
I/O Connector and Main Chip Set
The Mainboard is composed of the CPU, Main Chip set, I/O Connector, etc.
1. PS/2 Type Mouse and Keyboard Connector
You can connect PS/2 Type Mouse and Keyboard to the Connector.
2. Serial Port
You can use the Serial Mouse or Serial Printer by connecting to the Serial Port.
3. Parallel Port
You can use the Parallel Device like the Printer by connecting to the Parallel Port.
4. VGA Monitor Connector
You can connect the Signal Cable to the Connector.
5. Jack(Connector) connected with Sound function
You can connect the devices connected with Sound to the Jack(connector).
 Line Output Jack
You can connect the exterior speaker to the Line Output Jack.
Line Input Jack
When you connect the record/play devices like the Cassette Player, CD Player or the
VCR to the Line Input Jack, you can record and play the sound or image.
 Microphone Jack
You can connect the Exterior Microphone to the Microphone Jack.
 MIDI/ Game Port Connector
MIDI/Game Port Connector is used to MIDI signal input or output like the MIDI Sound
Source Module, the keyboard supported MIDI.
Connect the Joystick for game to the same connector.
6. USB Connector
You can connect the Peripheral Devices like the Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Printer,
Joystick supported USB(Universal Serial Bus) to the USB Connector.
7. LAN Connector
You can use the Network by connecting LAN Cable to LAN Connector.
8. AC 97 Audio Codec
AC 97 Audio Codec is a Stereo Full-Duplex Codec. It can convert Analog into Digital (A/D
Converter) or Digital into Analog (D/A Converter).
9. CNR Slot
You can connect the card connected with network to the CNR Slot.
10. Battery
When the AC Power is turned off, the battery supplies the electricity to the RTC RAM and
CMOS RAM.
When the Power is connected to the system, the battery takes a new lease of life.
11. South Bridge
The South Bridge is a Multifunction PCI device including the PCI-to-ISA BRIDGE and it
has the PCI IDE function, USB Host/Hub function, expanded power management function.
12. ROM BIOS
It is saved at the Flash ROM. You can upgrade the ROM BIOS with the new BIOS
program.
There are Setup Program, Power Management, Power On Self Test, ACPI and Ready
Plug and Play function in this Flash ROM.
13. PCI Expansion Slot
According to functions, you can connect the PnP PCI option card to the Connector.
You can set up easily the PnP PCI Card without changing the Jumper or the switch,
setting up another environment. When you turn on the system after setting up the PCI
card, the BIOS sets up automatically the Interrupt, I/O Space and other parameters.
14. AGP(Accelerated Graphics Port) Connector
It is a connector for attaching the AGP Card. AGP(Accelerated Graphics Port) is a highly
efficient dedicated video port for the graphic application program just like a three-
dimensional application program. It works separately regardless of the PCI Bus.
15. Primary IDE Connector and Secondary IDE Connector
You can connect the HDD or CD-ROM Drive to the Connector.
The two E-IDE Connectors can use the ATAPI and IDE device(HDD, CD-ROM Drive,
DVD-ROM Drive, Zip Drive, etc) to a maximum number of 4.
16. Power Supply Connector
You can connect the Micro ATX Power Supply to the Connector.
17. Main Memory DIMM Socket
You can expand the memory to 2GB(DDR 266 SDRAM is supported) maximum with two
184 Pin DIMM Socket.
18. North Bridge
It controls the system of the Bus Controller, Address Path, Host Bus of the Processor,
Memory Bus, AGP Bus, etc.
19. Floppy Disk Drive Connector
You can connect Floppy Disk Drive to the Connector. You can connect two FDDs to the
Connector and can set up the FDD Interface for the FDD at the BIOS set up program.
20. mPGA 478 Pin Socket
You can attach the Processor of the Intel Pentium 4 mPGA 478(FC-PGA2) type to the
mPGA 478 Pin Socket.
21. CPU Fan Connector
The CPU Fan Connector is for connecting Heat Sink with a CPU Fan Cable attached to
itself.
