The Servo 260 power amplifier is designed for
fixed installations, recording and live performance use.
Easily installed, this compact, 2-space rack-mount stereo
power amplifier delivers 130 watts per channel into a 4
ohm load, over a bandwidth of 20 Hz to 50 kHz. The
260 features high-current output power transistors with
a bipolar design and servo circuitry that continuously
keeps DC output during idling at or near 0 volts. It also
features balanced 1/4" Tip-Ring-Sleeve inputs as well as
push-spring terminal outputs, front-panel clip, idle and
protection lights and thermal and overcurrent protection circuitry. The Servo 260 is convection cooled for
silent operation, eliminating both fan noise and the
need for filter maintenance. Housed in a rugged steel
chassis, the Servo 260 uses high-quality component to
ensure safe, reliable performance in all applications.
Contact:

• Rack-mount stereo power amplifier (2-space).
• 130 watts per channel into 4 ohms (stereo).
• 20 Hz to 50 kHz frequency response.
• Balanced 1/4″ TRS and unbalanced RCA inputs and pushspring terminal outputs.
• 1/4″ and push-spring terminal outputs.
• Turn-on muting to prevent speaker “thumps.”
• Servo protection circuitry continuously keeps DC output
during idling at or near 0 V (thus keeping idle speakers at
their 0 point).
• Protection circuitry against overheating and
overcurrent.
• High-current output power transistors.
• Unique bipolar circuit design.
• Front-panel clip, idle and protection lights.
• Independent left- and right-channel input controls with
41-position detents.
• Convection cooled (No Fan).
• All-steel chassis with new black matte titanium finish and
anodized aluminum heat sink.

ARCHITECT’S & ENGINEER’S
SPECIFICATION
The power amplifier, being of two channels, shall
deliver a minimum of 90 W into loads of 8 ohms each with
both channels operating, or 130 W into loads of 4 ohms
each with both channels operating. It shall be passively
cooled, and shall have internal short-circuit and thermal
protection circuitry. A protection LED indicator shall activate and the power amplifier shall shut down to protect
against short circuits, overheating, severe overcurrent conditions or DC offset present at the outputs. The power
amplifier shall have slow start-up and muted inputs on turnon. Inputs shall be on balanced 1/4″ Tip-Ring-Sleeve connectors and outputs shall be on 1/4″ phone connectors and
on push-spring terminals. The front panel shall have independent level controls for left and right channels, a master power
switch and LED indicators for Clip, Idle and amplifier protection.
The power amplifier shall have a frequency response
of 20 Hz to 50 kHz, signal-to-noise equal to or greater than
103 dB and THD less than 0.03%. Total power consumed at
full audio power shall be 490 W (115 Vac) and 490 W
(230/240 Vac). The dimensions shall allow for standard 19″
EIA rack mounting. It shall be 3.5″ (88 mm; 2 rack spaces)
high and 9.5″ (240 mm) deep. Weight shall be 17.6 lb. (8
kg). The power amplifier shall carry a three--year warranty.
The power amplifier shall be a SAMSON SERVO 260.
