Use only the minimum volume setting necessary tohear your conversation.Charging the headsetThis headset has a rechargeable internal battery which is non-removable. Ensurethat you fully charge the battery before using the headset for the first time.1Connect the charger to the charging socket on the headset.2Plug the charger in to the wall outlet. During charging, the indicator light willturn red. If charging does not begin, unplug the travel adapter and plug it inagain.3When the headset is fully charged, the red indicator light changes to blue.Unplug the travel adapter from the wall outlet and the headset.•• Use only Samsung-approved chargers. Unauthorised or Non-Samsungchargers may cause an explosion or damage to the headset and couldinvalidate any warranty on the product.•• Over time, after many charging and discharging cycles, batteryperformance will diminish. This is normal for all rechargeable batteries.•• Never make or receive calls while charging, always disconnect your
headset from the charger and answer the call.Checking the battery levelTo check the battery level, press and hold the Volume down button and the Talkbutton at the same time. Depending on the battery level, the indicator lightflashes 5 times in one of the following colors:Battery level Indicator lightcolorAbove 80% Blue80 ~20% VioletBelow 20% RedWhen the battery power is lowThe headset beeps and the indicator light flashes red. If the headset powers offduring a call, the call will be automatically transferred to the phone.Wearing the headsetPlace the headset on your ear. Be sure to put the correct (Left, Right) earpiece
You can adjust the length of headset to stretch it up and down suitably on yourhead.Using your headsetThis section explains how to turn the headset on, pair and connect to the phone,and use various functions.•• Activated functions and features may differ depending on the phone type.•• Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved byBluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your headset.To ensure you get the best performance from your headset.•• Keep the distance between your headset and device as small as possibleand avoid placing your body or other objects in the signals path.•• If you usually use your mobile phone with your right hand, wear theheadset on your right ear.•• Covering your headset or device could effect its performance so keepcontact to a minimum.Turning the headset on or off
To turn the headset onSlide up the power switch. The blue indicator light flashes 4 times.To turn the headset offSlide down the power switch. The indicator light flashes blue and red then turnsoff.Pairing and connecting the headsetPairing means unique and encrypted wireless connection between two Bluetoothdevices when they agree to communicate with each other.In Pairing mode, two devices should be placed close enough to each other.Pairing and connecting the headset with a phone1Enter Pairing mode.• With the headset turned on, press and hold the Talk button for 3 seconds.• If the headset is turned on for the first time, it will go into Pairing modeimmediately and the Pairing mode stays for 3 minutes.2Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone and search for the headset (seeyour phone’s user manual).3Select the headset (HS6000) from the list of devices found by your phone.4If requested, enter the Bluetooth PIN (0000, 4 zeros) to pair and connect theheadset to your phone.
•• Your headset supports the Simple Pairing feature which allows theheadset to be paired with a Bluetooth device without requesting a PIN.This feature is available for devices that are compliant with Bluetoothversion 2.1 or higher.•• If your phone supports A2DP(Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), youcan also listen to music with your headset. You cannot control playbackusing your headset.Connecting with two Bluetooth phonesWith the Multi-point feature activated, your headset can be connected with twoBluetooth phones at the same time.1Connect with the first Bluetooth phone.2Activate Multi-point feature.••In Pairing mode, press and hold the Volume up button.3Activate the Bluetooth feature on the second Bluetooth phone and searchfor the headset (see your phone’s user manual).4Select the headset (HS6000) from the list of devices found by the secondBluetooth phone.5If requested, enter the Bluetooth PIN 0000 (4 zeros) to connect the headsetto the second Bluetooth phone.6Reconnect to the headset from the first Bluetooth phone.
•• When the headset connects to two Bluetooth phones, some phones maynot connect to the headset as the second Bluetooth phone.To turn Multi-point feature on or off•• In Pairing mode, press and hold the Volume up button to turn the Multi-point feature on or the Volume down button to turn the Multi-point featureoff.Connecting the headset with a music deviceYou can also pair and connect your headset with a music device such as an MP3player. The process of connecting to a music device is the same as for connectingwith a phone. When connected to both devices (phone and music device) you canmake or receive a call on the phone while listening to music from the musicdevice.Disconnecting the headsetTo disconnect the headset from your phone,Turn off the headset or use the Bluetooth menu on your phone.Reconnecting the headsetTo reconnect to the paired phone•• Press the Talk button on the headset or use the Bluetooth menu on yourphone.
To reconnect to the paired music device•• Press button <Play>button on the headset or use the Bluetooth menu on yourmusicdevice.Your headset will attempt to automatically reconnect each time youturn it on. If the Multi-point feature is activated, your headset willattempt to reconnect to the two most recently connected devices.This feature may be unavailable on some devices.Pairing via the Active pairing featureWith the Active pairing feature, your headset automatically looks for a Bluetoothdevice within range and tries to make a connection with it.1The phone’s Bluetooth visibility option must be set to on.2Place the headset and phone close to each other to avoid pairing with otherdevices.3In Pairing mode (solid blue indicator light), press and hold the Talk button onthe headset. The indicator light color changes to violet. The headset will attemptactive pairing for up to 20 seconds. To enter Pairing mode, see page 16.•• The Bluetooth phone you want to connect with must not bepaired with other devices. If the phone is already connected toanother device, end the connection and restart the Active pairingfeature.
•• This feature may not be available on some devices.•• When the headset pair with your phone, a connection is madethrough the Hands-Free Profile. To make a connection throughanother profile, such as Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP),check the phone’s user manual on how to pair the Bluetooth device.Using call functions••Available call functions may vary depending on the phone.•• * These functions are available only on the Hands-Free profile. For moreinformation, see your phone’s user manual.Making a callRedialing the latest Number dialedTo redial the latest number of the primary phone, press and hold the Talk button.To redial the latest number of the secondary phone, press the Talk button twice.For some phones, pressing the Talk button opens the call log list.Press the Talk button again to dial the selected number.Dialing a number by voice*Press the Talk button, and then say a name to dial a number by voice.Answering a callWhen you hear incoming call tones, press the Talk button to answer a call.
•• When two calls from the two connected phones come in, you cananswerthe call of the first phone.•• When you are listening to music, the music stops during a call.Ending a callPress the Talk button to end a call.Rejecting a call*Press and hold the Talk button to reject a call when a call comes in.Using options during a callYou can use the following functions during the call.Adjusting the volumePress the Volume up or down button to adjust the volume.Muting the microphonePress and hold the Volume up or down button to turn the microphone off so thatthe person with whom you are speaking cannot hear you. When the microphoneis turned off, the headset beeps at regular intervals. Press and hold the Volumeup or down button again to turn the microphone back on.Transferring a call from the phone to the headset
Press the Talk button to transfer a call from the phone to the headset.Placing a call on hold*Press and hold the Talk button to place the current call on hold.When the headset is connected with two Bluetooth phones, you cannotanswer a second call from the same phone.Answering a second call*•• Press the Talk button to end the first call and answer a second callwhen you hear call waiting tones.•• Press and hold the Talk button to place the first call on hold and answer asecond call when you hear call waiting tones.•• To switch between the current call and the held call, press and hold the Talkbutton.Using music control functionsListening to musicControl playback with the buttons. (Play/Pause, REW, FF )When your headset is connected to two Bluetooth devices and musicis being played in one device, you should stop playing it to controlthe other device.
Applying a sound effect (SoundAlive)You can apply appropriate sound effects for music during listening to music.To apply a sound mode, such as Normal, Vocal, or Instrument, press the modebutton while listening to music. You can also switch between the sound modespressing the mode button.Using it as the music headsetUsing the line out cable supplied with the headset during power off, allow you touse it as a normal one.1Plug line out cable into the headset.2Play your music device and use it as a normal music headset.
