To attach the battery pack aftercharging, align it with the phoneabout 1cm (1/2") away from its placeso that the two arrows on the phoneare seen, the battery charge contactspointing downward.2. Slide the battery pack upwards untilit clicks firmly into position.Result: Your phone is now ready tobe turned on.3. To remove the battery pack, releaseit by pressing the button on the rearof the phone.4. Slide the battery pack downwardabout 1cm (1/2") and lift it away fromthe phone.SCH-470 comes with rechargeable standard andextended-life batteries.Installing the Battery Packblinks while your phone selects a channeland lights up when the line is connected.displays the dialednumbers and thecurrent statusNOSVC: no service areaSVC: service arealights up when your phone is out of thehome area.CDMA: digital modedisplays the signal strength level with the number of bars.displays the battery charge level statuswith the number of blocks.indicates you have voicemail or textm e s s a g e s .indicates the vibration mode.indicates silent mode (lamp mode).
10 111. Plug the power cord of the chargerinto an appropriate wall socket.When the power is connectedcorrectly, the yellow lamp on thecharger flickers once.2. To charge the battery pack, insert thebattery pack into the rear slot of thecharger.The lamp marked BATT on thefront panel of the charger lightsup red.3. If you do not wish to use your phonewhile charging the battery, you can:Leave the battery pack attachedto the phone.Place the phone in the front slotof the charger. The lamp markedPHONE on the front panel of thecharger lights up red.When you purchase the product, the battery is not fullycharged. Please charge the battery fully before youoperate your phone.Charging the Battery PackThe lamp color indicates the charging status as follows:Tips on Battery ChargingIf the lamp blinks yellow, the battery pack is not properlyinserted or the contact of the charging terminal is stained orrusty. When this occurs, remove the battery pack, check thecharging terminal and reinsert the battery pack.
