Battery:Puttinginthepower
YournewSamsungSPRINTPhonecomeswitharechargeablebatterythatispartiallychargedso
youcanuseitimmediatelyafteryouactivate,withoutanyhassle.Usethebatteryuntilitiscompletely
drained.Rechargingthebatterywithoutfirstcompletelydrainingordischargingitmayshortenthelifeof
thebattery.
Installingyourbattery.
Toinstallyourbattery,justfollowthesesimplesteps:
1.Holdthebatterywiththelabelracingdown,makingsurethemetalcontactsatthebaseofthebase
batterylineupwiththemetalcontactsonthebaseofthephone.
2.Placeitonthebackofthebaseofthephonewiththebaseofthebattery.
3.Pushupthebatteryreleaselatchonthebackofthephonewhilepushthebatteryonthethephone.
Turningyourphoneonandoff
Whenyou'rereadytoturnonyourSamsungDBDMPhone,checktoseethatthechargedbatteryhas
beeninstalledinthebackofthephoneorthatyouhaveanexternalpowersource(theRapidCigarette
LighterAdapterortheHands-FreeCarKit).Then,Simplypressandhold<END>.
Theredlightflashesbrieflyandthebannerisdisplayed,whichmeansyou'rereadytomakeacall.
Turningoffthephoneisjustassimple.Pressandhold<END>fortwoseconds.Thedisplaywillbe
blankwhenthepowerisoff.
Removingyourbattery.
1.First,turnthepowerofftoavoidlosingstorednumbersandmessages.
2.Pushupthebatteryreleaselatchonthebackofthephoneandpullitout.
Chargingyourbattery.
Youcantellwhetherornotyourbatteryneedstoberechargedjustbycheckingtheupper-rightcorner
ofyourphone'sdisplay,wherethebatterychargeindicatorislocated.Whenthebatterychargelevelis
low,thebatteryiconwillblinkandthephonewillsoundatone.
Ifyoucontinuetouseyourphonewithoutrechargingandthebatterylevelbecomestoolowitwillturn
offautomatically.Analerttonewillsoundjustbeforethephoneturnsitselfoff.Ifthishappens,
unfortunatelyyou'lllosewhateveryouwerejustdoing.So,watchtheindicatorandmakesureyourlevel
isokay.

Usingtherapiddesktopcharger.
ShouldonlyusetheSamsung-approvedTravelAdaptorandACadapterwiththisSamsungDBDM
Phone.Usingthewrongonecouldcausedamage.
1.PlugoneendoftheACadapterintoyourphoneandtheotherendintoawalloutlet.
2.Insertthebatterypack.
TheblinkingredLEDanddisplayingcharactersintheLCD onthephonewillletyouknowthebattery
isbeingcharged.TheOffLEDandcharacterstellyouwhenthebatteryisatleast80percentcharged.
