Finding and Retrieving Numbers
There are Several ways to access numbers in your internal Phone Book. Make sure
your phone is in Standby mode.

To erase a phone number tom your Internal Phone Book:

Entering Secret Phone Number:
In order to enter an Internal Phone Book entry that is tagged Setret:

. Highlight "Set Secret".
. Press OK.
. Enter 4 digits lock code.

Using Two Different Types ul Panes
There are two different types of pauses that you can use when storing a number in
your Internal Phone Book.
l Timed pauses wait two seconds before sending the next string of digits.
l Hard pauses cause the phone to stop dialing until you press OK after selecting
Send Tone.
To insert pauses into a number.
1. Enter a number you want to dial,
2. Press enu for options.
3. Highlight,
l “Hard Pause" for hard pause
l "Z»Second pause" for a timed pause.
l “Hyphen” for a hyphen (see following section]
4, Press Q to insert a pause or manual hyphen.
5. Finish entering the rest olthe numbers, then dial or save the entered number.
Using Hyphels
You can add hyphens to our Internal Phone Book numbers, however, they are mainly
for show. You can insert hyphens manually where you like. or choose automatic
hyphenation, which inserts hyphens according to the North American Numbering Plan
Entering a manual hyphen suspends any automatic hyphenation for that number.
Using Speed Dial
With this feature, you can dial Internal Phone Book entries through one key press for
locations 2-9. To use this feature, speed dial number must be stored in your Phone
Book.
To store a speed dial number.

When on the Sprint PCS Network. you can call up to 30 stored entries by speaking the
name into the microphone ol the handset. Using the Voice Dial option requires that you
first train the phone to recognize the name of the person you are calling.
Tips 0: Recording Nines
Avoid recording similar names phonetically, If you record a similar name to one
that is already in memory, the phone requests another name.
Avoid recording in a noisy place,
Speak clearly and naturally.
The person who will use the phone should record the name.
Avoid very long or very short names. Names with two to five syllables are
recommended.
If a voice dial entry does not properly connect, you may need to record the name
and number again.

When your phone is lost or stolen, you can erase your important personal information
(such as phone book entries, call history and messages) and lock your phone by sending
a special formatted SMS message to your phone. Send the following format from your
computer:

system handling your call controls the power level. This power can range from 0006
