A self diagnostic will automatically be run and yourwireless remote will be ready for operation within 30seconds. Plug in the Male end of the 3.5MM-to-RCA cablefor home use, or your personal Ear Buds for portable use.Advanced Low Power Mode:Your Scosche iPod RF receiver uses an advanced powerdown mode which minimizes current draw on your iPodbattery if you are not connected to a constant powersource.  After 20 minutes of sensing no music playing or noremote commands, the unit will go into an advancedbattery save mode.  The receiver will automaticallyre-power itself when it detects music playing,(If there was none before) or it sees a remotebutton being pressed for more than 0.6seconds.7 BUTTON RF REMOTE CONTROLTrack Back:Press and release this button to movetrack BACKWARDS.  Press and HOLDthis button to rewind through the track.Pause/Play/Sleep:Press and release to togglebetween Pause and Play.  Pressand HOLD for 2 full seconds to putthe iPod into sleep mode.  If youpress and hold this button for longerthan 1 second but less than 2seconds the receiver will ignoreyour request.Track Forward:Press and release this button tomove track FORWARD.  Press andHOLD this button to forward throughthe track.Shuffle Play:Press this button to randomly playthe songs on your iPod.Volume Up:Press and HOLD this button toincrease the volume.Play List Song Select:First press the play list button,then with-in 5 seconds presseither Track Forward or the TrackBack  button to select a song fromyour play list.Volume Down:Press and HOLD this reduce thevolumeThis device complies with FCC Rules Part 15.
