Table 1: Models, Product Codes and Descriptions Kollector LAN Master is a PC-compatible, Pentium®-class, network client, tower-case computer ready to connect to the Kollector digital video recording systems via an Ethernet (10Base-T or 100BaseT optional) internal network card. The front panel features a power switch, a 3.5-inch floppy drive (for JPEG file export of still images), a RW-CD ROM drive and a standard CD ROM drive. TCP/IP connection at a speed of 1.3-30 frames per second, which makes it the industry’s first “network friendly” digital video recording and transmission system. Each LAN Master is capable of viewing 24 simultaneous cameras while supporting live view (Video on Demand), recorded view (museum search), file copying, system configuration and the controlling of pan/tilt/zoom cameras. Kollector LAN Master utilizes a state-of-the art, proprietary, Hybrid MPEG/Wavelet digital compression technique to view video. In addition, Kollector LAN Master can receive up to 24 individual video channels via the network. The internal RW-CD ROM drive can be set to copy live or previously recorded images from any connected digital video recorder. Contractors’ Specification LAN MASTER, NETWORK CLIENT DIGITAL VIDEO MONITORING AND COPYING SYSTEM The digital video monitoring and copying device shall be designed to connect to the digital video recorder in an Ethernet (10Base-T or 100Base-T) network. The LAN Master shall be a PC-compatible, Pentium-class, network client, tower-case computer that is network-ready. The front panel shall feature a power switch, a 3.5-inch floppy drive (for JPEG file export of still images), a RW-CD ROM drive and a standard CD ROM drive. The LAN Master shall utilize a state-of-the art, proprietary, HybridMPEG/Wavelet digital compression technique to view video. In addition, LAN Master shall receive up to 24 individual video channels via the network. The internal RW-CD ROM drive shall be set to view or copy live or previously recorded images from any connected digital video recorder. LAN Master shall receive video from each digital video recorder upon request over a network or TCP/IP connection at a speed of 1.3 - 30 frames per second at a maximum resolution of 480 horizontal TV lines. Each LAN Master shall be capable of viewing 24 simultaneous cameras while supporting live view (Video on Demand), record view (museum search, file copying, system configuration, the controlling of pan/tilt/zoom cameras and the broadcast of a time synchronization signal. There shall be a multi-screen display mode for both live and pre-recorded video of 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 cameras/sites or combinations. In addition, LAN Master shall be capable of direct printing images to a local printer. It shall also support several languages (contact factory for details). The 3.5 inch floppy drive shall be capable of copying still images. LAN Master shall be equipped with a combination Dongle-Key and software Hardlock driver used to run the software. It must also be initially assigned an “Administrator” level password. Lower level password assignments shall be optionally configured. All live and pre-recorded images shall have authentication to maintain court admissibility. LAN Master software shall also be available and identical to the software in the LAN master unit. This software shall be installed and run on a suitable Pentium-Class PC running an acceptable Windows O.S. The Dongle-key shall also be included in the package to enable running the software on one system. LAN Master shall be 27.0 inches (686 mm) high, 8.5 inches (216 mm) wide and 18.0 inches (457 mm) in depth. It shall weigh 35.5 lb (16 kg). It shall have steel and plastic construction and shall be finished in beige color. LAN Master shall be Kollector models KOL-5300 and KOL-5300P. NOTE: This rate can vary based on the activity of each Kollector digital video recorder station connected. Video Copying: Live or pre-recorded video can be copied from any network-connected channel to the internal hard drive or RW-CD ROM drive. Museum Search: Any portion of the playback video can be configured for searching at an accelerated rate to capture an event or events over an extended period of time. Picture File Size: 30 bytes - 9 Kb typical per static picture @ 240 horizontal TV lines of resolution using a capture size of 320 × 240 pixels. Video Display Modes: Multi-Screen Display Mode for both live and pre-recorded video of 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 cameras/sites or combinations. Printing: Direct printing of images to local printer. Global Language Support: Several languages currently supported (contact factory for details).
