SeecodeWheel and be able to use its functions properly.
1.1
informations about this manual
This manual is part of the SeecodeWheel (called unit in the
following) and gives you important hints for the setting up,
usage and caretaking of the unit.
Please give the manual together with the unit to the subsequent
owner if you sell the unit.
1.2

In this chapter you will receive important safety tips for the
usage of the unit. The unit fulfils all relevant safety regulations.
2.1
Intended usage
The unit is made for the usage as handsfree unit in the car. Any
other usages will be not intended usages.
We cannot be held liable for any defects resulting of improper
usages.

General warnings
Please take care of the following points for a safe usage:
► Control the unit before usage for visible damages. Don’t use
a damaged unit.
► Repair must be made from qualified technicians who are
qualified by us.
► If a repair during the warranty period is not made by an
authorized technician all warranty claims will be null and void
► Defective accessories must be exchanged with original ones
approved by us. Only these parts fulfil all relevant safety
regulations.

Disposal of the packing
The packing shield the unit from damages during transport. The
packing materials are made of ecological materials and are fully
recyclable.
Recycling helps to support avoiding unnecessary trash. Please
dispose the packing at the collection point for the recycle
system »Grüner Punkt«.
► Please store the packing during the warranty period, so that
you can send it to us in the original packing in case of
warranty.

In this chapter you will receive important tips for the
configuration and usage of the unit.
Please follow these Tips to avoid dangers and damages.
4.1

The SeecodeWheel is a handsfree unit for cars, which will be
installed easily at the steering wheel. The unit will connect to a
mobile phone over BluetoothTM . Phone numbers can be
transferred from the mobile phone to the SeecodeWheel.

5 Getting started
In this chapter you will receive important tips to get started
using the unit.
Please follow these tips to avoid dangers and damages.
5.1
Installing the SeecodeWheel
The SeecodeWheel must be mounted in such a way that you
still have clear sight of your speedometer.
The SeecodeWheel can be mounted in the upper or lower part
of the steering wheel therefore the display can be inverted in
the menu of he unit.
Before you install the SeecodeWheel :
► Turn off the engine of your car.
► The steering wheel lock must be open.
► Fasten the handbrake.
• Take all accessories out of the packing.
• Line up your steering wheel.
• Loosen the screw at the bottom of the unit with the
screwdriver until you can slip the clamp on your steering
wheel from its backside.
• Position the unit in the correct position, then tighten the
clamp by turning the screw carefully clockwise.
Don’t over tighten the screw, this may break the clamp, which
will not be covered by the warranty!
• Cover the screw with the provided screw cap
The wide angle lens provided with the unit allow the sight at
your speedometer when it will normally be blocked and can be
mounted optionally.
• Put the lens in the holder and then put the holder with the
lens at the backside of the unit. The two claps must latch in
the cavities near the loudspeakers.

5.2
Charging the battery
Please charge the battery for at least 5 hours before the first
usage to prolong the battery life.
5.2.1 releasing the battery
1. Push the two security locks inward to unlock the battery and
pull it out..
2. Connect the Mini USB part of the car charger with the
charging port at the side of the battery.
3. Connect the car charger with the cigarette lighter port.
The charging LED of the battery will be red during charging and
will go off when the battery is fully charged.
The SeecodeWheel can also be charged with a standard Mini
USB charging/data cable (not included) through the USB port of
a PC or Laptop.
5.2.2 inserting the battery
1. Push the battery slot in the battery compartment.
2. The red label with “Frontside” on it must be facing you.
3. Push the two security locks outwards to secure the battery.
5.2.3 disposal of the battery
Dispose the battery according to the local regulations of your
country. Do not dispose as household waste.
5.3
turning on the SeecodeWheel

You will see a welcome note SEECODE , afterwards
SEECODE will indicate on the display when there is no
connection If you have paired your mobile phone in advance,

, once to activate the auto search mode.
If there is no BT connection for over 5 minutes, the unit will
automatically switch off completely to save power.

5.4
Pairing / connecting the SeecodeWheel
Before pairing please make sure, that the Bluetooth mode on
your mobile phone is activated.
For more details about how to add Bluetooth devices to your
mobile phone, please check its operation manual.
5.4.1 first time pairing
1. Enter pairing mode by pressing
for two seconds until
you see READY PAIRING shown in the display.
2. Use your mobile phone to search for Bluetooth devices.
3. After he unit have been found by your mobile phone a
register ID will be shown on its display. The ID of the unit is
SEECODE.
4. Your mobile phone will request a pass code, please enter
"0000”.

5.4.2 connecting the wheel
After pairing you can connect the unit either using your mobile
phone or by pressing

make sure Bluetooth have been activated on the mobile phone

displayed at the display, for example :

6 phonebook
6.1
phonebook transfer
Phonebook contents from the mobile phone can be transferred
to the SeecodeWheel through AT command or OPP ( Object
Push Profile) .
Not all mobile phones supports above features.
6.1.1 AT command
To transfer the phonebook to the unit through AT command:
1. Connect the mobile phone with the SeecodeWheel.
2. Press

6.1.2 OPP (Object Push Profile)
The unit supports single contact or group contacts transfer via
OPP function. For detail operating procedures, please refer to
your mobile phones user manual.
To transfer the phonebook to the unit through OPP :
1. Disconnect BT connection from SeecodeWheel setting.
2. Do the proper setting on the mobile phone for transfering the
contacts by Bluetooth from the mobile phone to the unit.
3. During the phonebook transfer
will be shown in

4. After successful transfer you will see “xxx records“ . The
„xxx“ is a number representing the number of correct
transferred numbers.
5. Connect the SeecodeWheel again to the mobile phone.
6. Access the phonebook of the unit to check if the numbers
have been transferred correctly.

6.1.3 deleting phonebook
It is only possible to delete the complete phonebook, single
contacts cannot be deleted. Also the speed dial contents will be
deleted with this function.

Calls can be received either through the mobile phone or the
unit. To accept a call with the SeecodeWheel press

3. Withheld number
If the caller withheld his number “withheld” will be shown in
the display.

To use this function you must have stored voice tags in your
mobile phone, as the voice tags will be used from the mobile
phone.
To start voice dial:

Speak the desired name (voice tag) after the tone.

8 Other functions of the WHEEL V3
8.1 A2DP functions
NOTE
► Devices connected to the Wheel V3 (mobile phones / media
players) must also support the A2DP profile.
► A2DP is only available if only one mobile phone is
connected to the Wheel V3. If a second phone is connected,
A2DP is automatically deactivated.
The Wheel V3 supports the A2DP profile. If there is an active
connection to a media player / mobile phone, the A2DP function
can be used to playback music and to control the media player
remotely by means of the WHEEL V3.
8.1.1 Establishing an A2DP connection
According to the features of the mobile phone, an A2DP
connection to the WHEEL V3 can be established automatically
when you start playing back music on the mobile phone.
If there is an A2DP connection,

If your mobile phone does not automatically establish the
connection, follow the instructions in the phone’s manual for
establishing an A2DP connection before you start playing back
the music.
8.1.2 A2DP functions
The following functions can be used with a mobile phone that
supports both A2DP and also AVRCP for controlling the
phone’s music player remotely by means of the WHEEL V3:

NOTE
In case there is an incoming call, the music playback is

8.2 Multiconnecting
The WHEEL V3 can be connected simultaneously to up to two
mobile phones.

8.2.1 Connecting additional mobile phones
The WHEEL V3 can be connected to additional (already paired)
mobile phones in different ways.
•
After the WHEEL V3 is turned on, the unit
connects to max. Two mobile phones that were last
connected.
•
Connection starting from the WHEEL V3:
If there is no active connection, press
. The WHEEL V3
connects to the mobile phone that was last used. Then it
connects automatically to the other mobile phone that was
last used.
NOTE
If the desired mobile phone is not the one that was last used,
start the connection from the mobile phone.
•
Connection starting from the mobile phone.
Connect the WHEEL V3 to the mobile phone as described
in the phone’s manual.
NOTE
Each additional connection can be established only after
successful connection of the first mobile phone.
After all of the mobile phones have been successfully
connected, the first is the primary phone and the others are set
to stand-by mode. The order can be changed only after the
primary phone has been disconnected from the WHEEL V3.
Only the name of the primary phone appears on the display of
the WHEEL V3.
Outgoing calls via the WHEEL V3, such as redial or voice dial,
are performed only with the primary phone.
Outgoing calls from all of the mobile phones are performed via
the WHEEL V3 just as normally as in the case of a single
connection.
8.2.2 Voice functions
In the case of a simultaneous connection with two mobile
phones:
•
If only one device receives a call, the call can be
accepted completely normally via the WHEEL V3.
•
If two devices receive calls at the same time, the
WHEEL V3 can accept only the call that reached it first. In
this case, all of the operating options of the WHEEL V3
only apply to the call that was received first. After the end
of the first call, press
, in order to hand the second call
over to the WHEEL V3, otherwise the call remains on the
mobile phone.

8.2.3 Phonebook functions in multiconnecting
•
The phonebook of the WHEEL V3 can store up to
400 entries for the primary phone and 200 entries for
secondary phones.
•
Only the primary phone can transfer call numbers
via the AT command; the secondary phones can transfer
entries only via OPP.
•
If more than 200 entries are transferred from a
secondary phone, the phonebook of the primary book is
deleted to make room.
•
If less than 200 phonebook entries are transferred
from a secondary phone, the register of the other
secondary phone is increased accordingly.
The “Delete phonebook” function of the main menu only deletes
the entries stored for the primary phone.

9 Cleaning and care taking
In this chapter you will receive important tips for the cleaning
and caretaking of this unit.
Please follow this tip to avoid damages resulting of wrong
cleaning.
9.1

Please take care of the following things for cleaning the unit:
► Only clean it with a soft, dry or damp cloth.
► Even if strong soiled only use a damp cloth, no wet one .
► Use only clear water, no chemical cleaning solution, as
these can damage the housing of the SeecodeWheel.

10 trouble shooting
In this chapter you will receive important tips for troubleshooting,
if your device is not working correctly.
Please follow these tips to avoid dangers and damages.
10.1 warnings
► Repairs at electronical units must be made only by
authorized technical support service.
► Don’t try to open the unit by yourself, there are no parts that
can be repaired by yourself.
10.2 trouble shooting
phone status is not showing:
This function is not supported by all mobile phones
No pairing possible:
• Turn the unit off / on and try it again.
• Please make sure that the unit is in pairing mode.
Loudspeaker volume too low:
Please increase the volume on the mobile phone during an
active call..
Voice too low to be heard from the person who is talking to
the wheel user:
Try the following Steps during an active call:
• Adjust the Mic gain at the SeecodeWheel to high
or
• the person who is talking to the wheel user adjust his/her
mobile phone volume to maximum..
Dialled number cannot be found in the call register:
Numbers dialled directly with the mobile phone cannot be
stored in the call register of the SeecodeWheel.

Problems with some phones:
Nokia 6130:
After a call has been held and one call closed the held call
cannot be “un-held” from the SeecodeWheel.
Most Nokia models:
When the SeecodeWheel transfer a call to the mobile phone
the mobile phone will be disconnected. To reconnect simply
press the call button instead of A/T .
LG KG800:
When the connection to the SeecodeWheel is initiated from the
mobile phone it only supports Headsetprofile, then not all
functions will be supported.
If the connection is initiated from the SeecodeWheel it will
support Handsfree profile and all functions are available.
Samsung EB70, GSOO:
Call transfer must be confirmed on the phone
Samsung G600:
This phone doesn’t support call waiting

11 Disposal
In this chapter you will receive important tips for the correct
disposal of the unit.
Electronically units often contain valuable materials, however
they also contain hazardous materials.
Don’t dispose your electronics in the household-waste.
► Check with your local authority about the regulations in your
country regarding the disposal of electronically waste.
► Keep electronically waste safe and out of reach of children.

13 warranty
For this unit we will give 24 month warranty period, starting
from the date of sale to the end user.
Defectives will not be covered by warranty if resulting
from :Non-observance of this manual, Improper usage, Repairs
not made by us or an authorized technician, Technical
modifications, Usage of not approved accessories and
mechanical damages.
Within the warranty period we will repair or exchange defective
units.
Before sending back defective units to us, please contact us to
make sure, that the defect is qualified as a warranty defect.
.Without sales receipt the unit shall fall outside the warranty
period.
