Over the past 23 years, millions of SELECT Products Limited architectural-grade aluminum Geared Continuous Hinges

have been used in schools, hospitals, hotels, ofﬁces, airports, stadiums, storefronts and commercial and industrial

buildings in new construction and retroﬁt applications.

SELECT offers a Continuous Warranty on our Geared Continuous Hinges (see page 15 for

Geared Hinge Warranty statement). We conﬁdently offer this warranty because more than

25 million test cycles at an independent lab proved the durability of SELECT geared hinges.

SELECT hinges outperform most entrance components because they distribute door weight

along the full length of the door frame. They offer a patented 3-HR. Fire Rating without pins

or studs and are approved for both positive and negative pressure. They come in standard 83”,

85”, 95” and 120” hinge lengths, anodized Clear or Dark Bronze and offer a variety of custom lengths, custom anodizing,

custom painted ﬁnishes and custom electric preparations.

There are no ﬁner, longer lasting, better designed and manufactured geared continuous hinges on the market today.

normally 1" shorter than actual opening height. Custom

lengths can be ordered (see page 4).

■Load/Frequency Rating For 1-3/4" doors except where

noted; 48" max. door width. Frequency of use and door

weight determine the hinge duty needed. SELECT Geared

Continuous Hinge model numbers indicate appropriate

hinge duty.

■Standard Duty [SD] For medium-frequency doors up

to 200 lb.

■Heavy Duty [HD] Up to 200 lb. for high-frequency doors;

up to 400 lb. for medium-frequency doors; up to 600 lb. for

low-frequency doors.

■Heavy Duty [LL] Our HD hinge with additional fastener

holes for low-frequency doors up to 1,000 lb., including most

lead-lined doors.

■Door Insets Choose the SELECT hinge model to match

your door inset. Door insets are indicated next to applicable

hinge models listed on pages 6 – 9.

or studs—at no extra cost (excluding SL71 and Toilet

Partition models).

SELECT hinges have been tested by Underwriters

Laboratories, Inc. to meet the Positive and Negative pressure

requirements of UL10B, UL10C and UBC 7.2 (1997).

LIGATURE-RESISTANT HOSPITAL TIPS

The SDTF fastener is standard. All hinges are shipped with

Self-Drilling, Thread-Forming, Stainless Steel Screws (SDTF)

unless requested otherwise. With the exception of Torx®

security fasteners, fasteners listed below may be requested at

no upcharge, and must be speciﬁed on the original purchase

order.

■Hinge Duty All SELECT brand Pin & Barrel Continuous

Hinges (excluding SL3500 and Toilet Partition models) are

designed for 1-3/4" doors, medium-frequency up to 400 lb.

or low-frequency up to 600 lb. (4 ft. maximum door width).

■Finishes US32D Satin ﬁnish is standard on all stainless

steel hinges. Standard carbon steel hinges are zinc plated.

Standard aluminum hinges have a bright dipped anodized

ﬁnish. Custom ﬁnishes, including painted and polished, are

available (see page 11).

PAYMENT TERMS

Terms are net 30 days from the date of invoice, following credit

approval. No C.O.D. orders will be accepted. Interest of 1.5%

per month will accrue on any charges unpaid after 30 days

from the date of invoice. Shipment will be held on subsequent

open orders on accounts unpaid after 45 days from date of

invoice until payment is received in full. Once payment of all

outstanding 45-day+ invoices is received in full by SELECT, the

order will be placed into production (if custom) and/or shipped

(if stock items). Accounts unpaid after 90 days will automatically

be subject to CIA terms on subsequent open orders.

Applicable Federal, State or local taxes are not included in the

prices quoted. Should any license fee, property, sales, use

or excise tax be levied or assessed by the Federal, State or

local law upon any goods which are the subject matter of the

price list, they shall constitute an extra and shall be paid by the

buyer. If a surety bond is required in connection with a contract

to furnish these goods, the premium shall be added to the

contract.

CANCELLATIONS

Changes or cancellations on custom orders, including Fire-

Rated products, will be subject to charges for work already

completed and materials utilized.

PARTIAL SHIPMENTS

Partial shipments may be made on open orders to expedite

delivery. Partial or multiple drop shipment requests subsequent

to originally quoted and/or acknowledged orders may be

subject to re-pricing and re-assessed for freight charges. Partial

shipments will be invoiced at the time of shipment and will be

payable individually, including freight if applicable, under the

terms stated above.

RETURN OF GOODS

SELECT Products Limited's restocking fee is 35%. Only stock

hinges without modiﬁcations are eligible for return. Hinges

with custom colors, special lengths, cutouts, electrical preps or

other custom processing cannot be returned.

GEARED HINGE WARRANTY

SELECT Products Limited will replace your

SELECT Geared Continuous Hinge if it ever

fails under normal use, as long as it was installed in

accordance with the installation instructions enclosed

with every new SELECT hinge.

SELECT Products Limited warrants its

Geared Continuous Hinges to be free from

defects in material or workmanship.

This warranty is continuous

and has no time limit.

SELECT brand Pin & Barrel Continuous Hinges are

guaranteed to be free of defects in material and

workmanship for a period of 25 years. No claims for faulty

or improper installation, consequent damages, repairs

or backcharges will be allowed. This warranty does not

cover defects or damage resulting from vandalism, abuse,

improper maintenance, improper storage, shipping or

handling, alteration or removal of the factory applied

lubricant, anodizing or painting of product in the ﬁeld.

■SELECT Products Limited will assume no liability for

Geared or Pin & Barrel Continuous Hinges cut or altered

in the ﬁeld if factory speciﬁed cutting instructions are not

followed.

■SELECT Products Limited makes no other warranty or
