2.1 Identification

This document describes the SENSYS Traffic 24 GHz radar sensor RS242. This document is aimed at

5 Product information
The RS242 is a 24 GHz Multi-Target Tracking Doppler radar sensor used for speed and red light
enforcement. The RS242 is the central part of a SENSYS Traffic monitoring and enforcement system.
The RS242 can be used within a cabinet or mounted on pole depending on the type of application. The
radar is used on the public road infrastructure and is non intrusive device.
5.1 FCC
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by SENSYS Traffic AB could void the user’s authority
to operate the equipment.
5.2 Identification
The radar is delivered with the mechanical foot on 4 different locations depending on the installation type.
The radar may have different position of the logo respective to the mechanical foot as shown below.

5.2.2 Seals
The warranty seals are placed in critical locations. Figure 4 and 5 are protecting the front cover to the
radar.
