YLEISTÄ
SETCAD 203 on tarkoitettu sekä kannettavien että
kiinteiden työasemien RS232 -sarjaporttiin liitettävä
toimi- kortinlukija. Siinä on ISO 7816-standardin (*)
mukainen toimikorttiliityntä. Laite ei tarvitse erillistä
ulkoista virtalähdettä.

SETCAD 203 ottaa käyttöjännitteensä sarjaportin
pinneistä 3, 4 ja 7 riippumatta niiden loogisesta tilasta
(“1” tai “0”). Virrankulutus on tyypillisesti 4mA ...20mA
Korttiliityntä on oikosulkusuojattu siten ettei oikosulku
haittaa sarjaliitynnän signalointia.

GENERAL
SETCAD 203 smart card reader is intended for
workstations (also portable) offering smart card reading
through the serial RS 232 port. It follows ISO 7816
standards (*) smart card connector . It requires no external
power supply.
SIGNALS
TECHNICAL DATA
SETCAD 203 takes power from the serial port’s pin 3, 4
and 7 independently of their logical status (“1” or “0”). The
current consumption is typically 4mA ... 20mA. A short-
circuit protection in the card reader protects the serial port
communication.

SOFTWARE
The reader is independent of operating systems but
SETEC’s application programming interface supports the
following environments :
MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, Windows 95,
Windows NT and UNIX.
Complies with the requirements of the CE-sign concerning
interference and immunity in accordance with the EMC-
directive.
ALLMÄNT
SETCAD 203 smartkortläsaren är avsedd för terminaler
och PC:n (även portabla) och kopplas via RS 232. Den
följer ISO 7816 standard (*) och kan även innehålla en
säkerhetsmodul (SAM). Läsaren behöver ingen skild el-
anslutning. Datakommunikation sker antingen direkt
från smartkortet eller från SAM via serieporten.

SETCAD 203 får sin ström från portens pin nr 3, 4 och
7, oberoende av det logiskt status (“1” eller “0”).
