This is a module for use in portable location with SAR assessment. How does Bluegiga ensure that
the installation and antenna position within the Intermec device remains consistent and identical to
the position used during the SAR assessment?
Bluegiga:
Since the module is surface mountable it is impossible to install differently than how it is, without
making a totally new HW version of the mother board.
If the module is removed it is likely that it will be destroyed. If a new module is placed to replace
the removed one, it is impossible to place it differently than the original module because it will be
soldered to the same physical pads in the board.
We have checked the layout of Intermec and it is done according to the layout guides that we have
provided. We will control Intermec by saving the original HW layout version to our certification
folder and ask a letter from them to declare that they will not change the layout without approval
from us.
